Exactly the Right place … where you feel better as home. Very friendly and caring staff & management. Hygiene wise 5 * once you stay then you never go anywhere else. Look after all the runners of GNR like we r very special as there other guests. Definitely 100% recommend for to others. Very caring and polite staff. Very peaceful hostel. You get the best you want from a hostel at your visit. Real value of money.

Very friendly place to stay. Excellent value for money if you don't mind hostals. Is very popular with backpackers and short stay visitors. My only problem was no toilets on 3rd floor where my room was. Nearest was on the 2nd, and with the hostel being able to gave 170+ guests, early morning queues are likely for showers and toilets. Very clean and tidy, with games, TV rooms. Free kitchen, just wash your pots. Free wifW too.

Basic but serviceable accommodation, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, cheap as chips and very close to the train station.

As expected really! Cheap, clean and very basic but very centrally located. 2 minutes walk from the train station. No toilets or showers in rooms and water pressure of the showers is atrocious but for £16 What else did I really expect. All in all not bad.

Never entered a place that’s so horrific, if you want to leave early refuse to give your £25 deposit back, when you attempt to give criticism staff and long term tenants (why anyone would choose to LIVE her is beyond me, definitely must be taking smack and crack to think this accommodation is to living standards) become defensive of this hovel and Jaime Leigh Ewen is an absolute jobs worth, evidently holds a lot of anger because The Hilton wouldn’t give her a job because her customer and hospitality skills are so poor so has to work here. I wouldn’t advise anyone stay here overnight, you’d have a better time with a sleeping bag outside. So keep my £25 you set of scruffy humans, regards :)

Really enjoyed my stay here, staff were very welcoming and helpful upon arrival. Really good rooms with plenty space and comfy beds, really clean in all areas across the hostel! Cheap and cheerful :) definitely worth the money! Will definitely be returning here soon! Only downside being that plugs for charging devices were located at the bottom bunks which is a massive disadvantage for people on the top bunks. Wi-Fi coverage is only in the rest/kitchen areas. Not in rooms. Besides that it was brilliant! Considering I was out in town this hostel is perfect location wise :).

By far one of the better hostels I have stayed in, staff friendly and great help with any issues. Location is excellent for bar/pubs and a 2min walk from the Gate. Will stay again of returning to Newcastle.

Excellent location, decent beds and bathroom facilities at a reasonable cost. Use the communal fridge at your own risk however as its not cleared out daily.

Not here for too long. Just a brief social event but it was a very nice place.

Great hostel, prices have gone up a but recently and they seem very strict!

Value for money. Great location. Clean rooms. Breakfast included. But no Wi-Fi in the rooms. And the rest rooms are very far away.

Free tea and coffee facilities and free toast really made this hostel stand out from previous hostels that I've stayed at. Also there's a friendly atmosphere and the staff were very useful.

Went on a stag do with a group was basic but great and just what we needed staff were amazing and fun and we had a brilliant weekend was hilarious cost us 22 quid each for weekend how can you grumble?

Pros: comfortable couches, free instant coffee and tea, location, kitchen Cons: no lockers in rooms, pool table isn't worth the stairs, TV with cable but no other options.

Ok hostel, great location, but a bit pricey and a long walk from the bedrooms to the toilets.

Cheap and cheerful. Toilets an extremely long way from the rooms in some cases though!

Nice hostel! Room was a bit small and chilly but staff was nice, bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Great price for a private bedroom also. Loads of hostels have a higher price for a private twin bedroom. :)

Great place for the centre of town staff very helpfull nightshift staff especialy had a great time cheers lads.

Newly renovated — in fact some ongoing refurbishments — clean, comfortable hostel. Good beds, good price, perfect location.

Nice rooms with beds that are quite comfortable, the lounge area and kitchen are roomy and comfortable. The Wi-Fi is only there though, so no internet in the room.

Facilties are ok, but the problem is guests. they are drunken and shouting all night long, but staffs didn't care about that. I almost couldn't sleep in here.

Although I have no major gripes, this was a disappointing hostel. No Wi-Fi in rooms, toilets were a trek away (only 1 set per floor). Went there mid summer, and it was mostly empty. Currently undergoing renovation. Lounge area is alright and well equipped. Could hear music from the party street below at night. Great location. I payed around 20 pounds a night, and for that money would have expected more.

I am not in my 20s anymore, and I knew that staying here on a Saturday night would be a bit loud due to the proximity to the Bigg Market. But it was a lot better than I expected. The three others I shared my room with were a bit anti-social. The hostel is spotless and cleaned very regularly. I didn't see any areas that were even remotely unclean. The kitchen and lounge are a good enough size and well equipped. I liked all of the staff at this hostel. They were very helpful and polite. The hostel has an accessible room and bathroom on the ground floor. There is also a wheelchair lift up the stairs to the kitchen and lounge. Very good central location in Newcastle a few minutes walk from the train station.

The staff were super helpful and nice! More than willing to help if it is needed! Let us stay later as we finished up some laundry as well!

Right next to Newcastle station, entry system a little annoying, floors were dusty and dirty, other than that, not a bad hostel.

Brilliant location, lovely staff, clean, couldn't complain.

Location is great, everything is in walking distance. The hostel is very big, a bit disappointing that you have to cross the entire floor to go to the toilet if you are on the wrong side of the building. The staff is polite and helpful.

A nice and tranquil place to stay for the night. I stayed here for 2 days with school, and we had an amazing time. We were able to play Pool in the basement, and we had some big rooms in which we could sleep with about 15-20 people.

Surprisingly nice, looks much worse on the outside.

Great location, fantastic staff, rooms are good, and common rooms are large.

Excellent location. Close to shopping centers, pubs, night clubs and most importantly St. James' Park. Easy to get to from the metro, about a 8 minute walk. Clean rooms, kitchen and laundry room if you need them. Super friendly staff that will give great recommendations on what to see and do. Highly recommended.

This place rocks. The staff is superfriendly and they really care about you, if you find the places you are looking for in a town, if you are comfortable in your room, if you need any help with anything. The kitchen and common rooms were big and they had good services. Room was big for a dorm, beds were comfortable and we had lovely scottish guys as roommates and one couple too, it was really an excellent weekend, I would recommend this to everyone.
