Lovely high tea and the staff were very kind plus professional. A great location to visit for meals out.

Lovely large room, windows overlooking the garden and river, clean. Great front desk ladies and Julie the event planner/organiser was terrific. She took care of all our needs incredibly efficiently and decisively. Shes an excellent asset to Riverside. We had my father's memorial June 2022 at the hotel and subsequently used the garden for the fairly large gathering both after the clebration and for dinner in the garden the same night for about 25 of us. Weather held up perfectly. The house (now hotel) belonged to my great grandmother and so the occasion was a very special time steeped in Parker history. Thank you Riverside for making it perfect!

We had afternoon tea at The Riverside for my daughters 20th birthday. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious! There was so much food we took some home. The hotel catered for our dietary needs with no issues, staff were friendly and helpful. I would defiantly recommend!

Had our 30th anniversary meal there and the food was amazing. Very friendly staff.

Just had a company Christmas party here and decided to stay the night. We had a garden view double room and it was superb. Lovely large rooms with traditional sash windows. Comfortable beds, air conditioning and great choice of drinks on the tea tray. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices on the hot menu as well as continental. I can't rate the staff here highly enough. They were so friendly and went above and beyond. Well done riverside. We will definitely return.

Great atmosphere, excellent food as always, one of our most favorite places to be after a day of aviation related activity!

Had the roast beef would not have it again beef very tough and potatoes really hard and didnt taste nice at all shd have had a starter and dessert instead.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary, he made it a surprise for me which was very nice. We had a lovely meal served by lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for you. We will be coming back, I recommend coming here.

We have stayed here for a week and can say that in these uncertain times everything has been amazing the staff are amazing friendly and so helpful. Food is fantastic rooms are beautiful the gardens are peaceful and relaxing. Drinks on the lawn definitely recommend location wise perfect everything within an hour's drive. If back in the area will stay for sure. Weather is out of the hands of the hotel but we got blue skies so a bonus x.

I can not rate the afternoon teas enough! I have been many times & I am never disappointed. But, I do always have to take some home. Staff are so friendly. Brilliant value for money & amazing food 5* plus.
I was so pleased we finally got to go with family members after all the lockdowns.

My husband an I stayed here while on a working trip. Our room was quite spacious with a lovely view of the hotel grounds and river. Loved the staff. So very kind. Having stayed here for a week, it felt more like a home away from home. Sabrina, our server at breakfast, was amazing. Our meals were delicious. We visited in October of 2020. We never imagined it would be our last trip out of the US for a while. We look forward to the time when we can visit again. We will stay longer. So many beautiful memories were made. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent food for our anniversary dinner served in a well thought out Covid safe environment, staff brilliant, very attentive, we will be back, thank you.

Lovely stay from beginning to end. Lovely warm welcome and easy check in. Good COVID precautions in place BUT sanitizer smelt unpleasant. Had to wash hands asap. That is my only criticism.
The room was lovely. Nice and clean and bright. Decor was tasteful. Tea and coffee making facilities and some tasty biscuits.
lovef the bathroom. Nice big shower. Complimentary toiletries and lovely soft towells.
When we went for food the staff were nice and helpful. Food and drinks served quickly with a friendly chat but nit too intrusive.
Slept well.
Breakfast waa tasty with good selection chosen the night before which we prefer. Lady serving was very nice. Pot of tea was very welcome and just right. I hate stewed tea.
Check out was quick and again the lady on there was bright and friendly.

Just visited today for afternoon tea with my family to celebrate my parents 45th Wedding Anniversary. The food was delicious and plentiful, tables safely spaced out and the place was child friendly too! Perfect for us! I recommend 100%

Food was not nice. I chose roast pork — what I got was a pork chop. You would expect apple sauce, not here, nothing.
Breakfast was horrible — sausages tasted like bread, egg was hard. Best thing was toast and jam and we had to ask for toast as they only gave us 4 half slices for 4 people.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere & Great staff. Had a lovely evening. Looking forward to going back in the summer and seeing the outside space. I've heard its beautiful. X.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room is huge. The building is old but has been very tastefully renovated, with modern bathrooms and lighting. It was quiet on my first day but the staff were equally attentive. The breakfast was hot and tasteful with a full range of continental items. I came for a funeral and the post function was held here. The same attention to detail was applied despite the large number of attendees. would highly recommend a stay here.

We had our wedding here back in March and we could not wish for better place nor better service ❤️ everything was spot on and we had fantastic time ❤️

I had my party here last night and I have to say what an amazing venue, nothing was too much trouble, the food was amazing as I wanted something different, a grazing table, no curled up sandwiches and cold pizza here the kitchen staff surpassed themselves and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Jed was brilliant all the way through and all the staff working there last night did an amazing job. I highly recommend this venue for large gatherings. Thank you everyone involved for making my special night such a fantastic one.

Lovely place nice food friendly staff.

Spent the weekend here with my husband and our 3 children for our friends wedding. Beautiful hotel with helpful friendly staff. Our room was clean, spacious and a delight to stay in. Evan a travel cot was provided for baby. The staff went above and behond to make sure everything was just right for the wedding. Throughout our stay the food was quality and the children loved it. We look forward to our next visit.

The staff are lovely. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. My only complaint is the stairs to the 2nd floor, very narrow and steep, I felt rather nervous using them. I understand it's a listed building and permission to improve things might be difficult to achieve, that's a shame.

Didn’t stay there but have eaten in the restaurant many times. The food and service are always excellent and if you want a great place for your staff/family Christmas event try their Party Nights, they are excellent.

We had our friends Hen Afternoon tea party on the 28th Oct. We where looked after very well. No complaints at all. We had the little library room which was a great private setting x.

I regularly stay at the Riverside House Hotel and love it for many reasons including friendly staff and a good service, beautiful bar garden and decent food! 5 stars from me :)

Beautiful place but lacks parking and they definitely need some more bar staff, rather long wait for drinks for a wedding I attended.

My daughters wedding it was a lovely venue they were very helpful and made a special day very special all our guests had a wonderful time the hotel rooms were fab and the garden a lovely area for photos. The food was excellent and plenty of it and the function room was perfect. Thanks to the management and the staff.

Been in a number of time service in normally good but this occasion. Waited over half an hour for my dessert that hadn't been ordered. When it was bought to their attention, I was asked who I ordered it with which made me feel like I was lying. I work in customer service myself and had I been advised of I would of refused the whole order including my coffee without question. Usual I am more than happy with the service however this time left disappointed.

Was treated to Anoon Tea at Riverside earlier and it was wonderful. Food well presented, good choice of fayre and tasty too. Recommend you pay a visit. Their Sunday Lunches are commendable too with a good supply of vegetables served separately and more if desired. Staff extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly.

Lunch time bar food was so nice and a must here. Shame about the lady serving behind the bar. She had a right attitude problem! Swearing about both managers being on holiday…

What a lovely place with the best services I have had in a long time. Stayed with a colleague for a meeting the following day and we both felt the same. When work brings me that way again I will stay there! Thank you.

Sooo Very disappointed with our evening here last night.
The restaurant was over booked to the point that the kitchen and staff could not cope at all.
There was absolutely no excuse for this as we had booked weeks ahead. It was all down to bad management. Our family celebration was totally ruined and was a complete waste of money and time. We were welcomed to our table with the warning that we needed to “bare with them” by the head waitress. Which we did patiently but, Then after an hour and a half wait, the food was served and was so bad that 4 people couldn’t eat it at all! It was a snowball effect of disappointment. Everyone in our party was disappointed with the overall quality of there food individually, finding that it was either dry, rock hard, undercooked or lacking items that were described on the menu eg. Salmon, goats cheese parcels with no salmon or goats cheese in, chicken satay burgers with no chicken satay etc! Not a family friendly restaurant at all — I asked if they could bring forward my 1 1/2year olds main food to come with our starters and I was told No by the head waitress who was only interested in spinning us a hard luck story of their overall lack of ability to cope with all the tables. Finally the most disappointing thing of all was the General Manger GERRARD SHARROCKS who badly managed the whole evening.
EVERY party in the room was complaining for BOTH their treatment and the standard of the food.

Great staff. Great food. Rooms aren't too bad. You can hear a bit into the rooms on the top floor. And be ready for a snug lift. We're planning on going back for breakfast.

When we rang we were told there were no tables in the dining area until after 4pm. And that we could eat in the bar. We arrived appx 2.30 ordered drinks and food, and then noticed only one table was occpied in the dining area. We queried this with the female member of staff in the bar, we were told " I don't know what that's all about". The table in the bar was not really big enough for four people to sit and eat. The food however was good. This was today, Saturday 10th Mar. Shame, because we like the Riverside.

Has a very posh look with friendly down to earth staff. Nice selection of ales and the lunch was served quickly and was delicious!

Was quiet… Yet waited almost 20mins between mains and desert… Think morning shift wanted to go home.

My friends and I popped in for a coffee. Nice surroundings, lovely friendly receptionist. Unfortunately, coffee took 20 minutes and they didn't get the order right. So we had to then wait for the next 10 minutes for 2 cappuccinos, which were only just warm. And only two of the seven drinks came with a small biscuit. So not impressed at all. They did say they were short on staff, but we were the only ones in there.

First rate! I have to confess, I didn't know what to expect when my wife booked this as we were attending a New Year's Eve wedding nearby, but was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms modern, well equipped and comfortable. We only ate breakfast, but this was great as well. All in all a very enjoyable stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel!

Went here for a family Xmas meal. Me and my girlfriend are both vegan and she called ahead. We we're offered a risotto but no option for a starter or a dessert. To their credit the risotto was nice, but was a bit annoyed to discover they had a vegan dessert option of sorbet we were not offered on the phone and had to ask for as we sat on a table of 28 the only 2 people dessertless. The waitress then came over and lobbed it on the table in quit a passive aggressive fashion without a word being said. We also arrived a little bit late and although they came out and asked what our food order was we were offered no drinks and had to go to the bar and get our own. Shame, food was alright but very poor service let the place down.

The Riverside is a hidden gem in Mildenhall. It's a nice, upscale establishment for the area with an awesome, clean bar. Enjoy!

Did not stay overnight, only attended a social event for a dinner and some drinks. I can't say much, but what I will say is that they served some of the most delicious pâté I've ever had before! Also, the desserts were pretty amazing, especially the syrup pudding! I would absolutely return and dine there again.

We had a fantastic evening at a wedding reception. The food was first class and the staff very friendly and helpful. Great!

We came for a dinner on Sunday evening when we had roasts. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. Would definitely visit again.

This place was awesome I'm an American and visited and they had great food and a huge selection of beer.

Beautiful hotel, shame we had to wait at the front desk so long to check in as nobody was available. Paid a large amount for double room was expecting something amazing it was adequate. Also in the attic so either steep stairs up to room or tiny lift which made taking luggage awkward. Room was clean and functional but not worth the money paid. Attended a wedding reception at the venue which was a fantastic event and well set up. Our view was out the front of the hotel so it was a road and houses opposite for additional £20 I could have had garden view. Room was stuffy overnight and condensation on windows in the morning. Could clearly hear guests in corridor outside and in rooms next door.

Disappointed. Had afternoon tea twice here in last month (was taken so not by choice) first time staff forgot milk & sugar. Had to ask for coffee refill, never once asked how it was. Food mediocre. Sandwiches covered by mass of lettuce. Scones were tiny, defrosted & not fresh. Same second time. Service as mediocre as the food. Quiches were Iceland cheapness at best. Overpriced and very bland. I've had a champagne unlimited lattes & buffet afternoon tea in a top Sydney hotel for the same price.

We went for afternoon tea. Not a bad attempt. Altho sandwiches were placed on hot plates so bread dried out rather quickly. Would have been nice to have China rather than the heavy thick white crockery. Not asked if we wanted prosecco with our afternoon tea. Nice they have a women's and gentleman's choice of afternoon tea. Mini quiches & sausage rolls were lovely but the mini donuts were really hard. Staff very friendly.

We had our wedding breakfast and reception at the Riverside yesterday and I just wanted to say how fantastic it was. The staff were brilliant, they handled a very big wedding (80 day guests and an extra 110+ in the evening), lead by Ged and Maggie who were very professional and hugely experienced which instantly helps you to relax and enjoy your day. All the staff handled the day with ease and any requests was never too much of an ask. The food was fantastic and I know all of our guests agreed. Overall our day was calm and everything ran perfectly and a huge part of that was down to the Riverside Hotel-a wonderful setting for a perfect wedding day.

We nearly gave up on searching for a wedding venue but decided to give this place a look first. We loved the look of the place but Ged really sold it for us with how switched on he was and we knew we'd found our venue.
From start to finish everybody we dealt with was so helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Your staff are a credit to your hotel.
The day itself couldn't have gone better, I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing. We had perfect weather and everything ran smoothly. The room was set up beautifully, all the staff were so lovely and the food was amazing. I certainly wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place.

Really nice hotel, pub was great and staff really friendly. We stayed in a cosy double room, which was very cosy! The room was tired and could do with a coat of paint.

I have been invited to The Riverside House Hotel with groups for tea several times. The tea service comes with sandwiches, cakes, scones, and swans made of cake, chocolate, and strawberries. The food and service has been perfect each visit. When we are choosing a place to have a tea, the cute little swans get mentioned.

Great hotel with good rooms and services.

Absolutely brilliant. Fantastic value, friendly staff, great food. Recently changed habds and completely refurbished. It seems to be a secret at present — — there was only one other couple staying the night we were there, but he restaurant was packed with locals.
