This lovely old pub with fantastic garden also has 10 rooms in an 'L' shape around the garden. Great cooked breakfasts too.

This was our first visit… but definately NOT our last. The staff were so friendly and the food to die for… so well cooked and prepared. See you soon.!

Stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend, staff are extremely helpful and accomodating. Lovely food and a quiet place for a nice drink.

This is easily one of the best Country Inns I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at more than a few. Set on the very edge of Bardwell village, the Six Bells is about as perfect an example of an old English Country Inn as you could wish for, complete with low ceilings, beams aplenty, and a massive open fireplace in the main bar. Rooms are large, comfortable, exceedingly clean, and feature the same olde-worlde atmosphere as the main building. The restaurant sources its ingredients locally, and is responsible for one of the finest steaks I've eaten outside the USA. Service is impeccably welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Full marks across the board…

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff, a genuinely great evening!

The food here is divine but was let down by the poor customer service and lack of communication. We arrived hungry after a long journey and the staff did not manage our expectations about how long the food would be. We were waiting for an hour and a half with two small hungry children wondering what was happening. If we had only been told how long the food would be, we could have arranged to get food for the children from somewhere else. Instead, they ended up eating way past their bedtime and therefore going to bed late which spoiled the following day for us. The room was also not really up to standard — hard, uncomfortable bed and grotty bathroom.

Just like to say a big thanx to all the staff for making our short stay a pleasant one all very kind and polite the food was top class as so was our room I would highly recommend we will definitely book again.
