Had a lovely meal with family yesterday. The menu is really appealing & has something for all. We were all happy with our dishes. The service was great, the lovely young lady was attentive & checked for any requirements needed. A lovely setting inside & out. Compliments to all staff, thank you!

Have now tried 2 Home deliveries from here the 1st some months ago was not good. Gave them another chance today and once again it was not good…. Luke warm overcooked meat and veg and the cauliflower cheese under cooked. No love put into cooking that food! Phone on answerphone when I tried to complain.

Absolute must to visit. Warm welcome on arrival very friendly helpful staff. Outstanding food, Varied menu with something to suit all pallets, very generous portions and fab flavours. Will most definitely be back thank you xxxx.

Had an excellent birthday meal here on Saturday 19th February. Only 3 of us but we were all very satisfied with our meals. Thai crab cakes very tasty and sauce quite spicy but not too fiery. Mushrooms on sour dough also good. Mains — one steak and ale pie and two of us had loin of lamb — all delicious.

Ordered two beef dinners for delivery a bit last minute on a Sunday, and turned up bang on time.
The portions were spot on and the freshness of the food was outstanding. Piping hot fresh gravy and the rest of the food was exactly how you'd want it and in particular the beef which was cooked to perfection.
The whole meal was exceptional, thank you!

Just a lovely place to go and have a bite to eat. Lovely deco and the place was generally very attractive, good parking right outside, not that I'm lazy… but I am really :) none wants to walk a mile after stuffing themselves with food. The parsnip soap was a hit too! The lady and gentleman serving were quick and so polite. If we are ever passing again we would absolutely return. Thank you so much!

We had a Sunday roast delivery, it was amazing highly recommend it.

14th Feb 20 Valentines night… had lovely evening great menu and atmosphere. Waiters were very attentive and the steak was the best We’ve tasted in years. Perfectly cooked and yummy cut. Thanks Julie and Trevor.

Excellent food & friendly staff. I was very impressed.

Their attitude regarding allergies is terrible — and dangerous! We booked a buffet lunch for after my Dad's funeral. I had discussed my daughter's egg allergy with them at length beforehand and they said it wouldn't be a problem. They brought a separate platter of "safe" food to our table so all seemed fine. However, I noticed that the "vegan" cupcakes looked exactly like the regular ones. The lady I spoke to said they were fine said "Well, you dont have to eat them" and disappeared back to the kitchen. At that point my daughter started having an allergic reaction and I had to give her medication. The woman then came back from the kitchen with the delivery note for the cakes which clearly showed that they were NOT egg free at all. No apology for her attitude or for putting my child at risk. If she had eaten the cake I dread to think what would have happened. I will never go to this pub again and I advise anyone with allergies or other dietary needs to give them a wide berth.

Been for a meal tonight before the fireworks. Food was amazing and as for the fish it was huge! And fireworks to end the night. Brilliant job.

Lovely hotel but the room needed a little attention. E. G new mattress on bed. Food however was excellent, all cooked from fresh and really hot on arrival.

Great pub with a nice varied menu for meals throughout the day. Food first class. Lovely friendly staff and very helpful. Covered patio, handy if you have dogs, as not allowed inside pub. Great family pub.

We went to a wedding reception here 2 weeks ago and it could not be faulted everyone had a brilliant day and night and the food was excellent well done to all the hard working staff.

We just wanted coffee. They were very busy. They instantly cleared a table, and two excellent cups of coffee appeared in two minutes. Very kindly staff.

Lovely afternoon tea. Waitress was very accommodating of our needs and regularly made sure we had everything we wanted. £9.95 for a afternoon tea with 3 sandwiches, sausage roll, quiche, 3 cakes and a scone is a very good price. Highly recommend.

1 night stay. Friendly staff. Good size room. Lovely atmosphere. Good breakfast. Good value for money.

Waiting for a good half an hour between each course we were the only table in there when we ordered and for the rest of the night could not cook a poached egg how we wanted it to be and two out of the three fish from the fish and chips were over cooked the batter was left. Very small slice of apple pie and not. I have custard but when asked we were given a small jug between four of us, but on a positive side we all enjoyed the starters.

Bit expensive. Had a pork sandwich at £5.50.2 slices of ordinary white bread came with a nice piece of pork and apple sauce (stuffing is available) fries an extra £1.50. These were good & came in a basket. Salt & pepper on table but no other condiments offered. Service isn't the quickest but probably because everything seems to be cooked fresh. Other items on the menu appear to be better presented. However, the staff where polite, attentive & freindly.

Nice and clean. The food was ok. The staff were very pleasant and efficient.

As a former native of Hereford it has been a long time since I last went to the Bay Horse for food. The service was very good and the food was of excellent quality and generous in portion size. Will plan a return visit to Hereford again soon so we can eat there again. Pub is in a good location on the Kings Acre Road near to Wyevale garden Centre.

Attended a wake so only had a cup of tea while chatting but pub was warm & cosy… buffet looked appealing & well presented… staff were very welcoming & obviously aware of the occasion.

No matter how busy the staff are, they are always attentive and ready to help and the standard of good is excellent. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere in a fast-paced world. I highly recommend The Bay Horse!

I went to a wake here. Nice place, friendly staff, welcoming, good food, plenty of coffee. Drink available. I was impressed.

One of the nicest places I have stayed 10/10. The food was amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful. The guy who served us breakfast went out of his way. I carn't fault it atall. I will be definitely coming back in the near future.

Room was nice, excelent shower but breakfast wasn't. Undercooked bacon, cold black pudding and toast that was sent back twice before it was browned. Coffee was terrible.

Could not fault. Food hospitality accommodation top notch. Just out of city centre but worth a visit.

We have stayed for three nights. In fact I am typing this whilst sat in the bar. The breakfasts are excellent and plentiful, the evening meals very well cooked and presented. The honeycomb and chocolate cheese cake is heavenly. Terrific service from Matt and the team. They have provided a superstar service the whole time we have been here. Hereford is a great place with lots to see and and the Bayhorse Inn is an excellent base for exploration and a warm wecolme back each evening.

Very pleasant place. Greeted in the brand swiftly escorted to our room. For new Zealand people to understand this was very much like 8 motel units attached to an old English pub.

6 adults and 2 children. We went for lunch on a Saturday and had the picnic benches. It was fabulous the lady who was our waitress was very accommodating she even put the children's meals on their very own small picnic bench they were thrilled. Lots and lots of food on the benches excellent value for money. And they were very happy to let us take cakes home that we just couldn't manage to eat even providing some trays and foil for us to do this. I would highly recommend it. A lovely time had by all of us. Thank you x.

Friendly staff, very good fish, chips and mushy peas (my preferred choice) and salad at reasonable rates.

We had buffet for a funeral wake the food was lovely and there was plenty of tea and coffee. The place is nice and clean and friendly.

I ordered a large portion of Fish and Chips, expecting a larger portion of chips — when it arrived at our table, it was the biggest portion of fish I have ever had in my life! It was lovely too, but had to take a huge portion home, which the waitress happily did. Will definitely be going back!

Brilliant little local pub selling proper food! Not the type of chips that come out of a bag and chucked in a fryer, but actually look like someone started with a potato and made good old fashioned chips. The menu is not pages and pages but all the meals we have had there have been really tasty. I would recommend this pub so much so that I have family visiting from 2 hours away next weekend and I have already booked this pub for food. Overall I really like this pub :)
