Stayed at the peel Aldergate for 1 night. Staff very welcoming, helpful they Changed my room last minute due to not being able to climb stairs so got a ground floor one. The room was clean warm and cosy. Breakfast was very good staff so nice and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Tamworth to choose here.

Great food friendly serice.

This restaurant is by far the best for quality and cost and one of my favourites especially for English cuisine, a great place for meeting up with friends or family during daytime hours.

Only issue is the curtains don't shield from the street lamps and the room shakes when large vehicles pass by.

Actually visited CHristopher's… the resturant. Good food good service… well worth a visit… Especially the breakfast menu.

Fantastic place we stayed at will visiting the Spring Fair at the NEC.

Polite friendly staff willingness to help good variety of food especially if you want to try something different highly recomended.

Wonderful breakfast. Friendly staff that makes you feel at home. Small and old rooms but kept very clean. My AC unit did not work. No fridge microwave phone or anything of that sort provided which isn't totally unexpected. Walkable location to downtown Tamworth restaurants and pubs.

We have been many other times for evening meals, but this was the first time we have been for Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed as it was as good as ever. If you are planning a visit make sure you book a table.

Lovely Hotel Staying here on business but lovely clean hotel with all the necessary facilities. Breakfast very nice and plentiful. Would stay again.

I recently stayed at the Peel and stayed for two nights. On arrival I was greeted by a friendly member of staff and after checking in I dined in the Restaurant. The food and service was 1st Class. The room was very clean and tidy and good value for money. The breakfast was excellent and again the service was very friendly and professional. I will stay there again in the future, when visiting family members who live in Tamworth. Well done ALL of you and thank you very much for a very pleasant stay. John Dyer. Luebeck, Germany.

Family run, this is a lovely hotel. I booked it as was working within area so travelled up day before to visit a friend who lived near. My bed was so nice I almost arrived late to the restaurant booking! The staff have a personal touch not displayed in some 'chains'. They are extremely helpful. I would have loved to stay longer though I was transferring to Swindon via a meeting in London. I plan to visit again for a break thought as the town seems nice too. And that is my only let down. The hotel is in Tamworth — not London where I'm usually based. ;-) In closing, BOOK it, ENJOY it, RE-BOOK before you leave! BBC.
