This hotel is very pleasant. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, bathroom clean with plenty of hot water. BUT, avoid at all costs eating in the adjacent restaurant. We were a party of 9 and none of us would recommend either the breakfast or the evening meals.

Nice hotel. Only let down by the available restaurant facilities. Meals are taken in the Weathervain (Hungry Horse) pub next door which was shockingly bad. Food usual pub fayre — burgers, chicken, scampi … with chips. Two choices of table area. "Family friendly" … over run with kids (which is fair enough) or the "bar" full of locals with the TV on mega-loud to drown out noise from said kids. Not a pleasant experience & totally detracted from the hotel.

This was a great place to stay … comfy bed and a bath or a shower whenever you want … great value for money.

Close to Alton Towers, 20 minutes drive. Good bar with outdoor eating area. Helpful, friendly staff and great value bar food. The room was perfect for a last minute stay-over after a busy day at the Alton Towers. Would definitely stay again.

Paid for breakfast to be included, got to the restaurant area in the morning at 7.30 ordered a full English by 8.10 nothing had come out asked where it was and was told they made it but didn't know who it was for so binned it. Even though there was only 8 people in the restaurant and everyone had food they couldnt even be bothered to find out by asking who's it was. So thanks to them I ended up not having time to eat before a course I was attending at 8.30. Thanks.

Is a very nice hotel for either a weekend or overnight if visiting the area. On a retail estate with shops nearby. Has a good bar area and child friendly although no play area for kids that I noticed.

Very friendly staff, rooms basic but clean, worthwhile staying. I am told some rooms are noisy near the road.

Poor quality accommodation. Tired decor, draughty and not so clean.

Decent value, especially if you want to feed a family in The Hungry Horse next door. Regular hotel visitors will probably find the place tired and in need of a refresh. But it's clean and functional.

Friendly and helpful staff. Food was basic but we'll prepared. Amenities were very good for the course attended.

This is an unusual BW hotel, perhaps purchased from another chain, so it lacks the interesting features of other BW hotels. However, it is priced as a budget hotel, approx £60 B&B, which is less than many Premier hotels.

Very cold on arrival! no heating on at all! rooms clean could do with an update! Food was lovely in the bar! Cheap and cheerfull stay within 20min drive of alton towers.

Nice little friendly place to stay. Rooms are not big but they are bigger than what you would expect. Made it frel roomy. Also got a McDonald's, Tesco and Aldi right on the door step. Hotel food was really nice as well so no need to really go anywere if you dont want to. ☺

My wife and I were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. The room was clean and well presented, free Wi-Fi a definate bonus. The food in the restaurant was really nice and the staff very pleasant. One critisism I do have, as a disabled person is having to step into a bath to have a shower. I found this quite difficult and had trouble maintaining my balance. Using the bath is not possible due to my disability. A wet room would be more appropriate as it was the disabled persons room that we stayed in. Apart from that, we would happily recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable room. Excellent service in the restaurant but the food was mediocre. All round a very pleasant experience.

Booked a family room, 2 adults 2 children. We had a pull out sofa bed for the children. This you could not class as a bed! The mattress was as rhin as you can imagine, the frame underneath stuck through, the frame itself wasnt solid and honestly it is an absolute embarrassment you xan call that fit for a childrens bed. Our children could not sleep in it so my husband did wholst we had the main bed. My husband barely slept and in the morning had auful back pain. If yoy claim to have beds for 4 people in the room, you should have BEDS for up to 4 people. Disgusting and totally cheated.

Amazing. Staff are friendly and ready to help with anything. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I booked a family room which is a double bed and sofa bed. Sofa bed was ready made up for my arrival which was great. Breakfast was OK. Lovely continental breakfast cooked breakfast was nice just didn't like the sausage but overall I can't complain. Will definitely be booking with this company again.

Very nice well appointed rooms. Lovely friendly staff. A little too noisy and the second pull out bed in the double room was literally unusable, it was just like trying to sleep on a random collection of metal bars and springs!

Great service, good location right next to the pub, clean spacious room with all the ammenities.

Food service is good, menu is reasonably priced and staff are friendly, room is okay, rather small bed considering the size of the room, could fit two queen sizes into it but only have a double. Tv signal was terrible, couldn't watch it for more than a minute without it losing signal. Bathroom has a sensor activated fan that runs all night was very loud, so had to close the bathroom door, still loud at night and conatined some black mould. Overall good place to stay just a few snags let it down.

The hotel was easy to find. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a large group of us and we had everything we could want. Had a good stay.

Its OK. With a great location We booked a family room. Staff were helpful and the room was clean. However a family room sleeping 2 adults and 2 children I don't think its big enough a pull out sofa bed acts as the extra. The attached restaurant is a waste of time. The day we went we waited for to long as you order your food at the bar with everyone else those who only want drinks. Pain in the back side with 2 young children. Then you find out they have run out of jacket potatoes of all things. We went over the road to McDonalds. We would re-book if our first choice hotel was full again.

Very good food stake done just as you like it.
