Great management and amazing customer service. A very well run hotel that values its customers.

Stayed here recently, what a lovely place. Lovely friendly staff. We upgraded to the larger room definitely worth it. Everywhere very clean and Covid safe. Brekkie well worth £7.50. Will stay again.

Recently reopened and hosting a jazz gig. With Covid restrictions in place, these guys could not have done a better job. Well done to you all.

Reception guy is very friendly and helpful. Four poster room is very nice, comfy bed, good lighting to work at the desk and there is a Jacuzzi bath.

We just wanted to take a moment to tell you what a fantastic day we had on Saturday. Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more and that was in no small part down to all of you at The Lichfield Cathedral.
All of the bar staff, waiters, waitresses and management were extremely welcoming and made our day an absolute stormer. The meal was delicious and the bar staff kept the drinks flowing – I’m sure the takings were pretty good on Saturday night!
If anyone asks for our opinion on the hotel as a wedding venue (or in general) then you can be rest assured you will get a glowing review from us!
We’d like to thank Abbie for her organisation over the last few months – she made sure every little detail was covered and helped take off a lot of the pressure associated with a wedding.
Please pass my thanks on to all your colleagues – they helped make our day very special.

So helpful and with my daughter being lactose intolerance they went and made sure she didn't miss out on the sweet menu. They brought her fruit salad, thank you nothing too much for them to service her needs as wedding guests. We stopped over night and the rooms are a great size and the breakfast was good too. Thank you to all. My see you again.

We had our wedding reception here last Saturday night and along with us several of our guests stayed overnight. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful and made sure our special day was perfect. The rooms were large and comfortable and the bar and reception room were of a high standard. We would definitely come again. Thank you to all the staff.

Friendly professional staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable rooms enough parking for all guest cars, excellent breakfast, very conveniently situated and reasonable price. New owners have plans for the future. We will be happy to stay again.

A great hotel, staff truly wonderful and couldn't do enough to help. Felt like home from home. Breakfast was superb. I would book this hotel again and again. Perfect stay.

Lovely budget hotel close to city centre. Great location to explore Litchfield.

Rooms are fresh, clean and comfortable. Rest of hotel isn't up to much (no evening meals, some staff unhelpful) so just a big B&B in reality.

The hotel has recently changed hands, and is being improved. Our room had not yet been done. The furniture looked as though it wax MFI, yes that old and I felt that it was all just about to fall apart. The staff on the other hand ate wonderful abd really make the place. The breakfast was also great. I would visit again, if only to drink the gin and have breakfast.

Good location … walking distance from the city centre. Our bathroom was a little tired (room 204) but all v. Clean. Excellent breakfast (inc gluten free bread) friendly and helpful staff. Very good value for money. Would certainly use again when in Lichfield.

The rooms are dated, and the ones on the top floor desperately need air con. They were unbearably hot.

We visited this establishment to attend part of jazz festival, so we only saw the bar and function rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sadly no food was available so we had to leg it to local garage in the break to get a sandwich.

My wife and I have stayed here twice now. Although you could describe the hotel as a bit faded, you cannot fault the friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms, huge breakfast choices … and just a few minutes walk from Beacon Park. Great value for money.

I had a smashing room. The people working there were all friendly and it's in a great location. The breakfast was excellent too.

Fantastic 'Fawlty Towers' evening. Delicious meal and serving staff friendly and professional. Over night stay. Rooms clean and spacious. Great breakfast. Easy walk to Cathedral and town centre. Plenty of parking spaces. Will definately be back for future themed evenings.

Lovely hotel … spotless room an bathroom. TV tea&coffee making facilities in room. Lovely an friendly staff. Lovely buffet breakfast an full English breakfast too. One of the best decorated dining rooms.

Carpets in bedroom were filthy and bathroom wasn't very clean. Although, it's in a very good location and staff were very hospitable.

Ideally situated for Lichfield town centre. Good breakfast clean rooms.

Lovely cosy hotel in Lichfield. Rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful plus they did fried bread which is worthy of a 6th star in it's own right. Would definitely recommend for a stay.

Visited for my work do — nice staff and reasonably priced drinks. The food was very nice and I went back for seconds. There are two bars. The car park is small but you can park on the street. I would go back.

Great location for exploring Lichfield on foot. Not too far from the city train station either so it's also a good base camp for day trips into Birmingham. Plenty of parking spaces round the back of the hotel. Seems like some of the rooms have had a bit of a refurb in the past couple of years, in which case it's even better value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Bar area downstairs nothing special but does the job if a quick drink is needed. All in all, The Cathedral Hotel is a great place to stay for a few nights in Lichfield.

Room was Lovely but a bit overpriced even with a discount! only downside was every time we came out of our room (301) we were both hit quite hard from the door opposite being shoved open by other guests who failed to notice our door was behind, could of had a notice put on or that door being left open! The breakfast was awful, full of grease and the sausages were cremated! And the pastries were rock hard! On a positive note the staff were lovely and friendly and the hotel is very close to the town.

Location great for the town. A bit dated but you get what you pay for. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good but they need some non dairy products for breakfast like milk and yogurts. Our room was big but overlooked the main road where it was noisy with people going past from the bars etc at 3 in the morning, but you can't help that it's on the main road but there is a car park. Bathroom could have been better but the shower over the bath was fantastic. It always seams full so can't be that bad.

The event we attended was lovely but there was a severe problem with disabled access. One guest could not attend the wedding because he was in a wheelchair and the venue does not have disabled access. Quite a sour note for the event. Venue is conveniently located in the centre.

The food and services absolutely 5 star very clean, but, wheel chair access is not available due to being a listed building. The staff were amazing and they did get my brother as far as the bar, hey he's his happiest there. We had my stepdaughters wedding reception there. Very highly recommended.

Mildly above average hotel, nothing special although the buffet breakfast is nice and the staff are welcoming!

Run down, poorly maintained. Nails sticking up through carpet. Incredibly stained walls. Big dents in walls, handles missing, no hope of getting a warm comfortable shower (5 day visit, shower worked correctly once). Price to value is awful. Do not stay here. Staff is "ok", but you can get better service and courtesy anywhere else.

An almost period hotel with sublime rooms, to be English and a satisfactorily charming staff. The best, to 15 walk almost in straight line from the station making us pass through the beautiful streets of the center of Lichfield.

I was in Lichfield with a friend to do the Hare and Tortoise trail that was part of the Lichfield Festival. One of the tortoises was in the foyer of hotel. The interior of the hotel, and the restaurant, looked very elegant which was in contrast to the exterior and external signage.

Dated decor, but very clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good, but the drinks in the bar were rather pricy.

Was only there for a brief period of time for an event. I did not stay overnight. The hotel was exceptionally warm and the decor was dated. It was clean and tidy though.

Shower was intermediate and the window didn't stay open to allow fresh air into the room… had a function there the breakfast was excellent and so was the buffet… staff were great… they are under a steady re-furb at the moment five minutes walk from a beautiful City… great value for money.

Window was wide open when in room for first time so it meant the room was cold, mould growing on the window both bottom sides, bathroom handle on door was falling apart so it meant door couldn't be locked. Beds extremely uncomfortable, one light not working, hot water took forever to come on, wallpaper on wall and ceiling falling apart, mirror on wardrobe had a corner completely missing, massive amounts of dust everywhere gave me the impression that cleaning isn't a high priority. The only part I found really good was the customer service of all the staff at the hotel.

The room was absolutely freezing, the window was wide open on arrival and the heating didn't appear to come on at all, even in the morning

Lovely place to stay, close to Town centre and Cathedral. Rooms clean and tidy, amazing showers. Stayed there May 6th and 7th for school reunion, Staff were great nothing was too much trouble for them so helpful and friendly. Breakfast awesome and great buffet for our function. Would highly recommend, and would definitely stay there again should the opportunity arise. ☺

Reasonable for an overnight. Rooms have been redecorated but hotel still looks tired. Didn't get breakfast as poor waitress couldn't cope with 5 tables!

We have recommended regular guests from our bed and breakfast to stay at Cathedral Lodge Hotel whilst visiting Lichfield. The feedback has also been excellent. Customers love the service they receive from staff which comes from the fact it is independently owned rather than a chain. Highly recommended.
