Excellent pub for a friendly beer, good music and welcoming. Traditional pub and a dart board bonusc.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Big rooms for a reasonable price. Bit rundown.

Friendly place small but has rooms if needed to stay in yeovil. Haven't seen rooms so can't comment but kitchen not open so hence only 3 starxx.

Scruffy town centre locals pub with pool table.

Friend atmosphere with local ales and an open fire. Sunday have a meat draw with great prizes and chase the joker for cash prizes.

Went to the Pall Tavern on a Saturday come up from London and really liked this traditional pub. First chance I get i'm going back there. The customers in there are proper nice people. This pub ticks all the boxes for me. Loved the Guinness, the music and the landlady. I wish I had a local pub like this in London.

Good pub … I stayed there a few weeks ago and only just round to posting … but I felt it need as the staff and the locals were most welcoming and had a great time with them … Wonderful people!

Old style pub. In a town limited with decent pubs ok for a visit. Beer is alright. Pool table. Bit of a locals haunt.

I agree with the poster above. The 'locals' were horrible, the barmaid didn't crack a smile and was frosty and hostile. Perhaps this pub doesn't need passing trade, we were most certainly not made to feel welcome, whilst absolutely having no problem with taking our money. If I could give this 0 stars I would. A really horrible experience, steer clear sadly!

Went to the pub last saturday had a great time the young landlady julie was really friendly the beer was lovely and the customers was really helpful steve from minehead will go back soon thanks.

Staying in hotel for a good few months place is spotless the beds are amazing I can't get out them in the morning the beer is nice and crisp and customers a friendly on the plus side it's cheap enough as well.

We stayed here for my son's 40th birthday, there were 6 of us staying over in the B&B. We played pool and darts and in the evening the landlord asked us if we wanted any special music the barman could put on what we wanted. This we did and had the people in the pub dancing and singing along. It was a great atmosphere. The bedrooms were clean and tidy but could probably do with some updating. The beds were very comfortable, shower was hot and this was ideal for us to stay over for one night. We would definitely stay again if in the area as this was good value for money. There was a very dirty sheet shoved under a shelf. Staff were friendly but the room was very dated, and no breakfast.

Revisited a week or so ago on an afternoon crawl — my first return since the new management. Beers on were Directors (not kept too well and quite disappointing) and Courage Best (which was much better). Atmosphere still spoilt by noisy, self-opinionated regulars. Better than average.
