Good fresh food, reasonable price, friendly helpful staff. Good atmosphere. No complaints here, all good.

I recently stayed at the Dunstan House Inn for 10 night’s — I really enjoyed my stay, the room was lovely, very chic, clean with tea and coffee facilities, lovely soft white towels and crisp white sheets. The outdoor area is amazing and I love the recently added undercover eating area with the stone base tables. Kelly was very friendly, helpful and accommodating as were all the other staff, they couldn’t do enough for you — the service was outstanding! The only constructive criticism that I have is the food menu as I felt it was very basic and lacked variety, it would have been nice if there had been more fresh fish, meat and vegetables and less deep fried food. A BIG thank you to you all and look forward to seeing you soon next time I visit Burnham on Sea👏❤️

Best place to chill in burnham by a country mile. Clean and tidy and nice clientele and staff.

Love the outside area just a shame the tables & chairs not wiped down enough & feel tacky! Also ladies toilet appeared to have a bad smell! We came here by chance in 2021 & was very taken by food & service! A little disappointed today & yesterday no straws for drinks! The menu is mainly fried food a lot people don’t like or cannot tolerate fried foods due to diet issues!

After learning about the app (not being phone savvy), we had a brilliant meal. Service was very good and staff all had a smile. Thank you.

Waited 20mins to be. Asked drinks order had to go and ask to b served. Prawn starter nice but needed more dipping sauce. Pork fatty.

What a wonderful pub lovely staff who even though were fully booked shuffled around so My Wife 2 children and I could have our lunch Beautiful food and very reasonably priced and a fantastic ale selection (Lager's, Cider's and Real Ales) totally clean and Tidy throughout! lovely enclosed play area for the kids highly recommend.

Just bought my 90 year old mum for a lovely lunch in the sunshine. Just fabulous! They have worked hard to enable customers to feel safe and enjoy good food. The staff are friendly and helpful. Just wonderful.

Went to a murder mystery at the dunstan last night and the staff were fantastic and really friendly. I became ill with a migraine part way through and they boxed my meal to go. Will visit again when we are in the area as the pub has a lovely family friendly atmosphere which I know my husband will love!

I've been using the Dunstan for years as a local place to eat and drink.
unfortunately the management skills of the landlord are immature and inconsistent. His attitude toward locals and his bread and butter regular trade is abrasive, obtuse, rude and unbecoming.
This coupled by the insanely expensive prices have meant that I will try another as my regular pub and support restaurants in town.

Was a ‘regular’ here, popping in once a week for food and/or drinks, but really don’t appreciate being lied to by staff. Won’t be returning, other pubs in town are far more hospitable and accommodating. The Victoria Hotel for one, where they really make the effort to make you feel comfortable. Food at The Crossways much nicer too.

Burger was nice but kids menu really needs reevaluating and the food they do for kids.
Step daughter had chicken bites which she said tasted really nice but there was only 2 of them the size of chicken nuggets. My son had battered fish and the left the skin on the fish. Ain’t no one I know who like fish skin especially kids. Price of the meal ain’t worth it. If they have more and took off the skin then maybe.

We came here on a recommendation the food was very nice. Even though in my option a pricey. Menu. (example. ) £6 for a pudding it was very nice and friendly staff. I had the hunters chicken. And I must say it was very good. Also I would like to say it was nice NOT TO HAVE A DRESSING. Drizzled all over the salad.

I had the pleasure of working over the bank holiday weekend at Dunstan House Inn. The current new manager is wonderful and staff where lovely and helpful even tho they were super busy.
It’s a beautiful inn inside and out with a fab area for children!
The burger van addition is marvellous, mouth watering and yummy!
Looking forward to coming back.

Lovely afternoon spent making balloons as part of the Dunstan’s Easter celebrations. Great atmosphere. Wished I stayed for the band and a burger. Children were lovely and challenged my twisting talents but a balloon Michael Jackson won the day I think seconded by a balloon Phoenix joint with an engagement ring and a hundred unicorns! What a lovely find today! Cosy pub with real fires!. Had a beautiful roast Sunday dinner. First time here while we visit for the carnival. Absolutely delicious and piping hot food. The toilets were very clean but very dated which was a shame but the food was extremely tasty with lovely tender beef & delicious Yorkshire pudding. We would recommend the Sunday roast for sure!

A rare West County treat. A Youngs pub! Great pub, good ales, nice garden and comfortable seating throughout. UPDATE! Still the premier pub in Burnham, lovely staff, brilliantly kept ale and welcoming locals. It is so worth paying a fair bit extra for a decent pint in lovely surroundings.

Excellent food, four of us had different meals and all very pleased. Nice setting and atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Clean toilets.

This pub is a family favourite. Excellent range of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic. Lovely play area for children with seating all around. Food is excellent, although if sitting outside, watch out for the Gull's. The staff and customer's are all very welcoming. It is a very child friendly pub.

Quite expensive drinks. Was there for a wake and the buffet was excellent.

We had a pate starter, then the sausage & mash and the steak main course with cheessecake to finish. Pate starter was good, mains were very tasty and we had an extra side of onion rings. All the food was cooked brilliantly and very tasty. Not your average pub food. BUT the prices are steep and not necessarily for the food but a large rose wine was £7.00! Some of the other wines were £9.55 a glass! So dinner for 2 with 1 starter and 1 pudding, extra side 1 pint of worthingtons and a glass of wine cane to £56!
I would go again but drink water next time.

The menu had changed so not as wide a range as before but it is still very good. The staff bend over backwards to help especially with allergy info. You can take your dog in and eat. Great outside area and the. Most fun sweets and treats behind the bar for me and the dog to buy by the bag.

Thank you for welcoming the RX-8 UK owners club so we cos enjoy a nice Sunday lunch. One star knocked off as not sure on the electronic booking system as never received it and when shown to me looked a bit of a chore to get peoples orders in rather than the good old verbal method. Cheers anyway and we would certainly come back.

A nice pub with plenty of outdoor seating. Food is average and the quality has changed over the years. It's s bit of a lottery as far as food is concerned. We've had really good food on many occasions but then the standard dropped all of a sudden and the quality and portion size was reduced. Roasts used to be big but are now almost half the size. We don't visit as much anymore which is a pity as it's a nice pub.

Lovely atmosphere, great place to meet friends, even if you don't drink as we drank tea and coffee as driving. Food wasn't bad either ;)

Had a lovely stay 2 weeks ago. The staff were great and so was the food. Stayed in the family room which was lovely and clean. Can't wait to come back.

They were accommodating and the buffet food is ok, though the last time (recently) there wasn't enough of the most popular items and only three bowls of chips for 30 people. £11 per head for menu without fresh meats but included a tea urn and a piece of cake. The room was a little cramped and in need of brightening up. Convenient for children as the play area can be accessed via french windows.

I have had a lovely meal at the dunstan couldn't find fault with it staff very friendly.

A busy/lively bar, staff were friendly and served us pretty quickly. A great menu for good too. All in all a nice (but not cheap) place to frequent.

Good selection of ales, serves food children and dogs welcome. Expensive prices considering the it's a bit grubby in places. Friendly atmosphere with helpful cheerful staff.

Very overpriced food and drink. Dogs are allowed in the food eating area which I think is wrong. Sent my meal back which I never ever do but as I paid so much for our meals I had to, and as I was paying the drinks tab another customer sent their meal back. Will go back ever again.

Some menu options weren't available, fish pie was cold and they should just use '£' signs. But service was friendly and accommodating and rectified faults quickly and with a smile.

Great atmosphere jut off the main road with plenty of parking. Great for events and functions.

A great cosy pub, good value food and drinks for what you get, the food I've had has always been very good and well presented and staff are friendly. Love sitting in the book with the open fire place in the comfy chairs. The pub is always clean and tidy and the outside play area is good fun for children, but I'd say for 4+ rather than toddlers.

It's good I guess. Menus are quite small with high prices. Drinks are expensive aswell. Food is nice but one time my brother ordered a pizza and it was soggy and horrible.

To much fancy food on roast dinner not your traditional Sunday roast. Yorkshire puddings were the best I have had. Other than that good pub.

The atmosphere is good, there are a range of tables in different locations to suit different groups. The food is usually good though the menu range has become more limited.

Really nice overall the ploughmans sharing platter had a full selection of typical things you would expect including a homemade scotch egg. Standard pub decor with outdoor play area for children and a small outdoor seating area. Only real criticism was I though the drinks were a Bit on the pricey side at nearly £8 for a double Gin excluding the additional cost of a mixer. At around £2

Very friendly staff with a good menu and good food and drink to go with it. Was a slight glitch with our order but the staff sorted without a fuss and as quickly as possible. Good pub…

Went for a meal with friends, sat at a table which was not waitress service though at dining room end of bar, after a discussion we decide to have starters and mains courses, we ordered food & drinks at the bar. We then waited and waited, starters came and as part of our decision to have starters or not, they were large portions as expected, tasty deep fried Brie and pate, let down though by limp bread to accompany dish. Table was cleared fairly promptly by the waitress post starters but we then waited and waited yet again for our mains, which on first look were large portions and presented nicely on plates. The scampi & chips my friend had was a lovely dish unlike my rack of ribs and my husband's steak. The steak came with an unusually large amount of cooked cherry tomatoes along with a wilted salad (from the heat lamp effect) and the steak was sitting on a napkin! The steak was supposed to be medium rare but was medium and the outside was crispy (as though it had been sat under a heat lamp). The peppercorn sauce to accompany the steak was a glutinous sauce with no peppercorns. As for my rack of ribs, a large portion, which was overcooked, blackened and crispy, liberally covered with BBQ sauce (to cover the burnt appearance). I was able to separate the ribs to eat but gave up eventually when my jaw ached from chewing, disappointed not to have ribs with meat which falls of the bone.

Six of us were eating at an outside table. 2 meals were brought out but no cutlery, after a lengthy wait one of our party went in search of the cutlery, she noticed that the waiter was taking food to other customers. The waiter didn't know which steak was the rare or medium, also the 2 steak meals were vastly different in size. Over priced for the quantity and quality.

Had a family dinner there and sat in the family area, tables were limited in there unless you booked the 1 table with space for more than 4. Menu is varied but lacked variety on items such as steak. The burger I ordered was very nice though and portions plenty.

Had Sunday roast that claimed to be beef it was hard to cut and really hard to chew. Definetly not worth the price at any cost. Had lamb last visit which was nice. Gone down hill since, higher prices and cheaper cuts of meat.

New menu is far better. Less to choose from but all cooked well and really tasty.

Over many years of visiting family in Burnham on Sea ; we have used this for stay — overs, dining, and it still is one of my fav. Watering — holes in the area. Cheers H.

I came here with my parents on their recommendation on Easter holiday Monday. It seems that staff had underestimated demand for the weekend, as the kitchen was fast running out of food when we arrived, just before they started turning away potential customers who hadn't already booked. I ordered a burger, which was advertised as coming with chips, side salad and homemade coleslaw. However, when it arrived, the coleslaw was missing. I asked the waiter where it was to be told "Oh sorry, we've run out. " I complained that I should have been told this when I ordered and the waiter agreed and apologised, but no offer of a partial refund was forthcoming and I didn't want to press the matter and ruin a pleasant evening with my parents. I must say that the food I did receive was excellent — the burger was delicious; made with quality locally-sourced beef, and the chips were also very good. It's just a shame that this establishment messed up this time and missed out on what would've been a four or five star review. I shall probably return to see if things have improved.

Fantastic food, great range of gastro burgers at reasonable price. My wife and I have been here a few times for lunch, very nice.

Anywhere with free Wi-Fi is good, but Dunstan House Inn is a great place to meet and have something to eat. It's definitely one of the nicer places to eat in Burnham on Sea.

Service good but food poor. Went here twice but disappointed both times. Had chicken and it was cremated and the salad warm and limp.
