Came back from pontins yesterday after doing a sun holiday with 2 friends. We had a fantastic time. The chalet was very clean some things were missing but we just went to guest accommodation & got what was missing. All staff were very friendly even the security staff were friendly. Yes the chalets are outdated & could do with a refurb but it was just somewhere for us to sleep as we were out in the day. The queen vic pub was clean & the bar staff were friendly. People expect a 5* hotel for a cheap price & you arent going to get this! we would come back again.

Everything! Very run down. Shabby, dirty unhygenic oven, minimum utensils, damaged furniture (no doors on wardrobe) no kids outdoor activities. Dirty windows inside & out. The park should be shut down & totally modernised. Staff & groundsmen/maintenance men are helpful & friendly. Club apartment was clean but I heard awful things from other guests about their apartments. They are desperately short of cleaners for a site as huge as this!

Absolutely disgusting. First chalet like a war zone. 2nd not enough mattresses and only one pillow. They must be going under looking at this shite.

Family fun staff cant do enough for you. Chalets very basic but clean. Plenty of amenities.

Staff are so so rude, particularly the male manager. Never experienced such shocking customer service. Check in so disorganised. Be prepared to que for 40 mins. Lots of grass in bottom of cupboard. Fridge stinks. Bunk bed so unsafe.

Do not go here. Absolutely atrocious. From the service received to the horrible living conditions. Broken dodgy doors. Smelly, filthy and freezing conditions. All of our washing still smells now after washes of damp. We tried to book elsewhere when we saw where they expect people to sleep but due to weather conditions we couldn’t and it wasn’t safe to travel so we HAD to stay for one night with no curtains so anyone could look in and see us sleep. Dodgy front door that didn’t open and close properly so certainly not safe and to top it off police patrol everywhere which made us feel even more unsafe. I mean police patrol at a kids holiday park. Dodgy if you ask me. Horrific experience. They should be closed down.

We stayed in the gold apartments no problems at all clean room etc. Staff was friendly and helpful a truly amazing weeks holiday thank you Pontins 😁👍

Dirty room on arrival asked for upgrade none available re clean asked for air freshener squirted around floor was disgusting Pontins NO More for me 0 out of 10 Rating.

Me and my 4 kids are here now having a great time. Apartment was clean and tidy and everything that I needed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Basic but all very friendly had a lovely time.

Been coming here with my family for awhile now. Accommodation isn't good and definitely needs work on all the chalets but we always enjoy our stay. Entertainment is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Myself and Girlfriend went here for a last minute get away for Halloween. The only negative I can say was that the staff seemed to be under a lot of pressure to carry out table service in the entertainment. We totally understand that this was due to covid restrictions. But a tip for the management. If there had been more staff available to serve I feel there would have been a better atmosphere and less stress on staff and guests due to waiting times. Myself and girlfriend only had one drink on site throughout our stay due to this and spent our money on external entertainment.

The accommodation is basic we all know that but if you want quality entertainment and a holiday full of fun and laughter on a budget, you can't go wrong. My accommodation issues were all sorted extremely quickly and with a smile but it's the entertainment that brings people back year after year.

The whole site needs knocking down & rebuilding. This is the worst place we’ve ever stayed at!
Accommodation is absolutely disgusting. We got moved to the chalet next door, which is slightly better!
Would never come back here again.

Seriously Pontins you really need to sort this place out — the rooms are a disgrace, there is rubbish and debris all over the site, staff are rude and extremely unhelpful. Love Brean but your site really is letting it down.

Stayed for 3 nights. 2 adult 1 child age 6. Good
— Despite of the long queue while checking in was quick and staff are polite and helpful.
— Location is good near the beach and some attractions.
— Staff are all very nice and polite they tried their best to satisfy their customers despite their resources are not so great.
— We are a bit lucky that our chalet is clean and with utensils, pots and pans. (But I have to clean it again with disinfectant spay to make sure its covid free)
— Toilet is okay.
— Microwave, kettle, stove, oven & fridge all clean and working.
— Staff tried their best to get guest entertained as much as they can. Bad
— Place is run down and too old.
— Facilities not well maintained.
— The chalet not well maintained old curtains, broken walls & doors.
— Most of the recreation area is not functioning properly due to COVID and others are just not open because they are broken like the go carts.
— Place is noisy during the night some drunk neighbours. It’s our 1st time in Pontins Brean Sands. I read all the other reviews and almost did not come hence I expected the worse when we arrived but lucky for us it’s no so bad after all when we got to the place. If your looking for comfort, relaxation and stress free holiday. I wound not recommend the place but if your only looking for a place to sleep and stay then its okay.

We checked in and collected our key very quickly the staff were friendly and efficient, it was a very short walk from our car to the chalet. That is it for positive praise unfortunately.
our chalet was filthy, luckily I had brought my own cleaning products with me, I used half a roll of kitchen paper just cleaning cupboards and worktops, then the bathroom.
mildew, ants, damp smells and sewer smells all added to its charm.
luckily we had brought all our own bedding as nothing was provided. But even that didn't help in any way toward making those beds comfortable
THEY WERE SIMPLY AWFUL
I had to ask a cleaner at a neighbouring chalet for cutlery as this was down to 3 spoon 5 knives and 2 forks, She took them from the chalet she was in…
the oven was dirty from past occupancy

I expected basic accommodation for the price but even with that in mind it was dire and inexcusable.
the onsite facilities were to be expected and we only popped in to the arcade on the evening to entertain our teenager.

Absolute appalling place. Filthy, disgusting customer service. Unsafe. Avoid at all costs.

Great place to spend as family. Is better for the younger children. Does need a bit of an update but has everything you need at cheap prices and in beautiful location.

No zero rating unfortunately worst place by far I have every stayed. Don’t even know where to start, when booking the chalet I was expecting it to be very basic accommodation, not as basic to the point we felt like we were sleeping on bare wood the chalet was absolutely disgusting bins not been emptied crisps all over the floor bath dirty with mud in the pull out sofa full of sand! Clearly not been cleaned since the last guests or maybe even ever! the smell was unbearable can only describe as sewage! We bared one night as didn’t want to let the kids down but it was a long sleepless night! We tried to make the beat of a bad situation n got kids headed to the pool which was closed! Due to unforeseen circumstances! Not good enough! Then went to the go carts same storey with that we packed up went to the manager n demanded a refund! The manager was sympathetic n had no idea why the facilities were not open n also agreed the chalets were dirty! Told me to email when I got home which tonight I have done not holding out much hope! DO NOT stay here unless you watch to catch a disease off the disgusting hygiene!

We arrived on the Friday with such hope and excitement to be greeted with the most dirtiest run down place I have ever seen. They think kids entertainment is a smelly hall with just music while someone talked into a mic sat on the floor?! Luckily we made our own entertainment and the weather was good so we didn't stay on site. Would never ever recommend this place. And for the room, it stunk and I spent a good hour cleaning it when we arrived. To think you take people's money to stay here, you should pay people to stay here. We left a day early as the thought of staying in our room while it rained was never going to happen.

We stayed here last week, it was hideous! We were supposedly upgraded to club… if that was an upgrade I dread to think what classic was like. The rooms stank, mould all over the bathroom and a bath that can only be described as a large sink! We didn't cook in the kitchen due to the previous several guests food all over the cooker and up the wall next to it. None of the advertised activities for kids are even running, no go karts and not once did I see a blue coat. The kids evening entertainment was awful and horrendously loud. The pool facilities are dirty, the whole place looks run down and neglected! Overall fairly rank and a waste of money.
If you're taking young children beware the unruly kids! Every night of our stay there we're kids outside screaming and shouting til all hours!
Pontins website says there is a skate park on site, which there is but it costs to use it meaning all the kids who brought their scooters have no where to ride the but the pathways…
Honestly I wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone and I certainly won't be returning! Brean itself is lovely with plenty to do. I'd personally recommend the seagull and the sun spot for food!
