Have visited the Francis twice now, as non residents. One of us is mobility impaired and we would like to thank the team for being so helpful with access. We loved afternoon tea there and today enjoyed a delicious and very reasonable lunch. Really friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.

Very elegant hotel. Decorating a little more school or one feels like home. But the staff is extremely efficient. The rooms are very comfortable.

Hotel location is very good, many rooms, dragging suitcases seven turns eight corners to find the room, very close to the scenic area. The room was large, the bed was narrow and the quilt was soft. Breakfast variety is not much, taste can also.

Love this hotel. The staff are fantastic. Couldn't do enough for you, so helpful. The hotel is gorgeous. The beds are really comfy. The location is excellent and the price was very reasonable. The management were very accommodating when I needed to change the date of my visit. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

4* Hotel. Georgian period building, originally a number of houses… overlooks a large grassed square. Decor elegant, stylish, highly patterned wallpaper, in keeping with the period. Lovely bedrooms. Beautifullly decorated. Velvet sofa. Large double bed, Egyptian Cotton linen and towels. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Brasserie Blanc restaurant integral part of the hotel. Delicious food. Highly recommend.

Best in bath. Very posh. Felt like a tramp walking in there in my tracksuit. Staff so friendly and parked our car for us. 10/10

Superb 19th century hotel made up of 9 18th century to houses. Lovely bedroom. Excellent restaurant.

A very comfortable hotel and very convenient to walk around in the center of Bath. My room (329) was spacious and clean. The hotel has a good French-style brasserie for dinner in the evening and where you can have breakfast (good too) in the morning.

Great location with very helpful staff. Room was a little dated but luxurious with everything we needed and a nice outlook. Modern bathroom with a shower over bath. Expensive, but then it's Bath!

It is a very central hotel, it is close to many parks and museums. I didn't like the rugs and you hear the wood when you walk the top floor. I was hoping for a little more service. Until February 11th is 50% discount on the restaurant's strong dishes. The breakfast buffet is the same every day, I recommend having breakfast in other places.

Ordering cafe from hotel is a labor. Not allowed to sit in the brassiere but aside (was hoping for breakfast). Cafe was nice, bill came with gratuity added without consent and a spiel about “ethics” no consideration that I wanted a refill, I didn’t ask for the bill it came (wanted to make further orders), my cups went. Felt unwelcome. Shame as I came for business meeting would not hold anymore meetings here, French / American practices maybe differs from the English perhaps.

This is a quaint boutique hotel with a fabulous location. Can walk from the train station with luggage it's that's close. The staff are fantastic and the restaurant is exquisite.

My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Francis last week. From the cheerful and helpful young folks at reception, the delicious breakfasts and the relaxed but elegant ambiance of the lobby, this hotel has it all. Stay here and enjoy drinks in the sitting rooms after a long day of site seeing in this fab city. This hotel is a bargain; you won't regret your choice.

The hotel is comfortable, the restaurant is good. Only disappointment, but of size: no French television channel is available in the bouquet of this hotel, and no newspaper in French is also proposed. I would like to know how American tourists would appreciate having no newspaper of the USA Today genre in a Hilton or Sheraton. The portraits of MM dream and Pelisson are hung in all the hotels of the group ACCOR praising the excellence of the French hotel, but it does not go so far as to offer newspapers and channels in French… The language of Shakespeare is no problem for me, but if I choose to go to a hotel of the ACCOR group, it is to find a little of France, especially information of French origin. For my part I am shocked!

Although owning the Platinium card, no difference with the lambda client.

My wife and I enjoyed a 3 night break for my 70th birthday. The hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff from housekeeping to the. Restaurant were all very pleasant. Food and restaurant staff excellent. If there was one minor thing (and it was minor), we stayed in Room 104 and we thought the net curtains were a bit shabby. But on the whole the stay was perfect and we would have no hesitation in coming back, and would certainly recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel is close to major attractions and restaurants. Our room was spacious with room for a desk and we really appreciated the espresso machine. Bed was very comfy. The hotel faces a busy square but the windows seemed to block out most of the traffic noise and at night was relatively quiet except for late night revelers. We would stay again!

Staff were professional and helpful from check in to check out. Thank you to Mark on concierge for attentive service and arranging a taxi. Our room was very welcoming and larger than expected. Attention to detail in all aspects. The hotel in itself is respectful to the history of the buildings with thoughtful attention to individual sections whilst preserving the history and integrity of the individual houses that make up the hotel. Walking through the hotel seamlessly evokes the charm of a bygone era with modern amenities. I look forward to visiting this hotel again in the very near future.

We were met by a really nice man called Mark, who came across the road to get our belongings out of the car. He gave us good advice about parking and made sure our car was safe. The dinner was really well presented and of good quality, but we were surprised to be told that there was no Bordeaux Superior Wine available. We were disappointed with the Cote de Rhone. The room was very comfortable and the fridge was very useful to keep the food left over from our day's travel. There was a good selection of hot drinks on the tray. Mark continued to be very helpful to us, on the Sunday, even after we had checked out and were having refreshments in the bar. Mark was the main person who made our stay very pleasant. Thank you.

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary celebration. Gorgeous, stylish hotel in a wonderful location of the city, but none of the intrusive noise you might expect. The staff were excellent — friendly, welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was wonderfully comfortable and clean and the food — do treat yourself to an afternoon tea or a meal. Definitely worth it. We will be returning!

Pleasant surprise in this small town. Very friendly and helpful staff Bright rooms and bathrooms. Also excellent the restaurant Brasserie Blanc, next to the hotel. Great location to go downtown in the pedestrian area.

What a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Perfect for shops & all the main sights. A good choice of bars and restaurants very close by. Room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom/shower was amazing. The hotel bar was comfortable and had a good selection of drinks. All staff throughout the hotel were polite. The only few downsides were that my room did not have a fridge. The air-con would not warm the room up, so it was a little chilly at times. The room did not have a good view. But none of these were such a problem that I wouldn’t stay again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are really nice. We were upgraded as we needed a cot and the room might have been a little small without it, so was really pleased. Also, breakfast was great but unfortunately my daughter vomited all over the floor during it, but was cleared up by staff really quickly and they were very considerate. Staff were all really friendly and gave good service.

We had afternoon tea here last year during my daughters Hen Weekend. It was superb, the atmosphere and service was first class. I would highly recommend a visit.

The welcome at reception was faultless as was the room, the most comfortable pillows I have ever experienced in a hotel, wish I had remembered to find out the make! It was good to find a variety of cooked options for breakfast, I had smoked haddock and poached egg which was delicious. We didn't eat in the hotel as it connects to A brasserie Blanc next door! Would definitely recommend it.

Although expensive, this hotel is located in a great area and feels really luxury. The hotel has noticeable history and class. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about Bath and it's surroundings. Breakfast is not as big as you might expect, but good quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business trips and couple getaways. I would look for another hotel if you are looking for a place to stay with family though. The hotel rooms are kind of small and the hotel doesn't seem to be focusing on families. Some may seem this as an advantage though!

Good place to stay to walk easily around centre of Bath. Staff friendly and helpfull.

Over charged for breakfast £19.50 for a slice of toast.

My husband and I stayed at The Francis room 130 on the 1st floor on Boxing Day and unfortunately we were only booked for one night as I could have stayed for a week! The whole experience was a delight and a really lovely break after a hectic family Christmas. As soon as we walked into the hotel it had a welcoming atmosphere, peaceful and tranquil. This was continued by the excellent attention from reception staff and the concierge. We were also most impressed that after our bed had been turned down it was noted there was a mark on the quilt cover and within 20 minutes 2 staff had returned to change it and brought with them complimentary mince pies! The bathroom was lovely and in keeping with the period of the hotel, the room spacious and the bed most comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the waiting staff very eager to please and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and hope to return in the summer for a long weekend. (A note to the manager Mr Willcock — we just adored the C. O Bigelow body lotion bathroom product (lavender and peppermint) and wondered if I may purchase some from you as I can only find this online from America. ).

Nice rooms, great breakfast and awesome location. Would recommend.

It's not rocking, but as somewhere to go if you like old fashioned service, comfort, and above all, quiet, it's great.
