We booked for 2 nights for a convention and had a fabulous stay. My husband and daughter spent their day relaxing whilst I attended my convention. The room was well maintained and the beds and pillows so comfortable. The bathroom was of excellent standard and fully stocked with everything needed. Breakfast was also of a great standard and freshly brewed coffee available. I would highly recommend the clairmont we were made to feel so welcome. Thankyou for a perfect stay xx.

I have visited Clairmont on many occasions and it never disappoints. For quality, Cleanliness, A great breakfast and a wonderful welcome. The rooms are excellently appointed and offer quality bed linen and a superb hospitality tray. Cleanliness is second to none. Of the 3 guesthouses we've stayed in in the Wellington /Telford area this is by far the best. The rooms are warm and cosy and of a high decorative order. The owner is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The full English breakfast is very filling and a must. Car parking can be a bit cramped when busy but I've always managed to park my estate car in a space. We have stayed here on numerous occasions during the last 5 years whilst visiting family and friends in the area. I would highly recommend Clairmont Guest House as somewhere to stay if you are looking for a B&B in the area.

Stunning Guesthouse in a perfect location for exploring surrounding areas. The host, Eileen, was attentive, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The property is a lovely Victorian building with many original features and well kept gardens. Our rooms were absolutely spotless and surprising luxurious for a guesthouse of this price, you would not expect to find some of these many extras in a top hotel; such as toiletries including a sewing kit and shoe cleaning mit, bottled water in our own fridge, a safe, hot drinks facilities including hot chocolate and a dressing gown and lovely gift box of toiletries to take away as a memento of our stay. We had a huge walk in shower in a surprising large bathroom for such a property and more than ample wardrobe and draw space. My in laws had a large, grand room that they were more than happy with as they could sit at their writing desk or in their arm chair whist relaxing before our day out. The beds were extremely comfortable and the property was kept toasty warm the whole time. Breakfast was a delight with large local butchers sausages, thick Bacon, beautiful farm eggs and more. We also enjoyed fresh coffee, juice, yogurt, a selection of fresh and dried fruit and toast with a large selection of jams and marmalades. Eileen recommended a lovely local restaurant for us on the evening and even ran to book us a table and booked a taxi for us.

The rooms were fine and the breakfast was reasonable despite not being given any choice but the lack of hospitality or sociability was a very large negative factor in our visit. It felt as though the landlady was doing us a favour in allowing us to stay overnight. There was no welcome, just a lecture on the house rules. We must not stay out late or make a noise, breakfast finishes at 09:00 and we need to vacate the premises by 10:00. None of these we unreasonable but it was the way in which we were spoken to that profoundly disappointed us. Being senior citizens might have given her a clue that we were unlikely to stay up late and make excessive noise. However, when we returned at 22:00 from having eaten in the village, there being no residents lounge, we said our goodnights in the small reception room. The landlady opened the door and told us that this was not a hotel and that we needed to go to our rooms because she wanted to switch the lights off. That was just a flavour of the "hospitality", closer perhaps to hostility and brusque almost to the point of rudeness. Nice guest house in need of someone who likes having guests to stay.

Rooms are great, breakfast is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpfull. Definitely the best bnb I have stayed in and will sure to be visiting again. Thankyou so much x.
