Wow, a good brand name off the beaten track on a business park. Nice greeting, kind staff and as we arrived on pedal bikes, they allowed us to take the bikes to our rather spacious room.
Fab facilities, soft towels, comfy beds, ideal for the tired traveller. Breakfast inc, evening meal available and bar facilities.
All for £63… bargain!

Food is absolutely disgraceful. £12.95 for a plain Burger and a few chips in a box. Ripped off.

Very rude deputy manager, refused to refund me for canelation of a room 13 days in advance despite being told I can cancell with up to 5 days from date of check in, they do not care about their customers only about making money. I would not reccomend this hotel! go somewhere else.

No Heating and only told on arrival, yes I may have a separate heater in the room but that does not solve the walk in freezer of a bathroom I have. Also would be helpful if the window when shut actually closed and did not leave a 1inch gap that lets all the cold in and heat out. What can I say would you stop here by choice knowing these facts prior to stopping.

Stayed here for two nights when the weather was hot and I remember the room being nice and cool. Can't knock anything about the room as it was comfortable, clean and everything worked. The breakfast was not bad… as you'd expect at a holiday inn but I'm not too fussy. We walked into Shrewsbury from here and it took about half an hour. Quite a nice route into the town.

The deputy manager could not of been more helpful. Full credit to him for making us feel really welcome and he was a font of local knowledge which was really useful to us as we are relocating here. The room was hot, yes as aircon not working, but the room had two fans. Haven't had breakfast yet but love that it was included. Comfy beds and really modern bathrooms. Out of town so no town centre parking charges, and a really handy location for house hunting! High recommend, especially if the deputy manager is working when you arrive!

Excellent HI Express. In a really quiet area. The room has everything you need. The shower was absolutely top class. Solid Wi-Fi, good breakfast, easy check-in and out. Great price. Plenty of parking. There is a co-op within walking distance, but that's it. Car essential, or 10 minute taxi into Shrewsbury.

It's a very modern hotel out of the way on a business park, this is an indication of their tstg mark and fair play with it. Rooms are tidy and functional if not spectacular. The food was good, again. Nice mozeralla sticks followed by a decent chicken and bacon salad. Staff all good and helpful as you want. Will use again.

Despite the hotel displaying "free fast Wi-Fi everywhere! " posters, the Wi-Fi signal was very patchy in my room, and very slow even in the public areas. Shower took a long time to warm up and only had one temperature — slightly too hot. Breakfast was okay (for free). I would return but ask for a room nearer the lift.

Surprisingly comfortable hotel. Quiet and peaceful rooms with very comfortable beds. Although a way out of Shrewsbury, nice walk in or very cheap taxi fare. Also breakfast included.

Superbly located for where I was working (6 miles away) the room was very clean and more than adequate for the nights sleep. Due to long working hours we did not manage to eat dinner at the hotel but we did squeeze in a beer after work. The bar area is pleasant enough with a couple of nice lagers on tap. Breakfast is what you expect from buffet style hotel breakfast, a nice selection of breads, pastries, yoghurt and fruit. For the hungry people… Sausages, eggs, bacon, mushrooms and scrambled eggs. All in a all a good night's sleep and a satisfying breakfast. Perfect for our trip.

Ideally situated in a very quiet business park. The town centre is easily reached by car or taxi. The staff are wonderful. So helpful. Highly recommended.

For Shrewsbury I finally found a hotel that has a proper sized shower with hot running water, a proper chair to sit in, a comfortable bed and very helpful staff.

Reasonable Holiday Inn in a out of town location so not much in walking distance. All staff were very good. Room was nice but had issues with the heating so had a small oil filled radiator which was ok as not cold overnight. The food choice was limited but pretty good chicken but chips below standard. Thai red curry was decent. Would stay here again when back in the area.

Awful, unfriendly and unhelpful staff, who had no interest in our comfort. When we stayed (during a cold spell) there was no heating, (see pic) and we had to ask for a heater. BEWARE the Internet has no security and is a risk to use.

Great rooms but the heating was broken and the fans provided were loud and therefore couldn't be left on overnight. Our bathroom also a very unpleasant sewage smell. Also, breakfast was brought out sporadically so we ended up waiting for different bits of hot food to be brought out. When things were brought out there was a very small quantity of each meaning not everyone got some. Overall a good hotel and great service but these were standout issues.

Bed was very old even with 2 mattress toppers on the bed we could feel all springs. The staples on the bed base are coming out which scratched my legs as I got out of bed told the nice lads at reception they were understanding said the manager would call me as they were not in till Monday not had a call yet. Breakfast was ok but not the best. Reason for such a low score is we dint sleep much but when we did manage to get a hr woke up with very sore backs. Also a. C. Wasn't working room stupidly hot and window doesn't open much to get any air.

A hidden gem of a hotel. Modern and roomy, clean and comfortable. Helpful friendly staff. Probably intended for businessmen but excellent for family stopovers en route. Not just so easy to find but worth the effort.

Attended a training session for work, staff helpful with hot drinks and water. Decent training room, local shops for lunch etc.

A clean, basic and comfortable budget hotel. The beds are comfortable, rooms spacious enough and the showers are good. I like the location next to the motorway and the free parking. The staff are excellent — ever so helpful and friendly. I have stayed here twice and I'm sure I'll be back.

Enjoyed my stay. Heating wasn't working properly but they left some Galaxy chocolate and drinking chocolate which was nice touch. Clean and comfortable.

The Droitwich HI has always been my favourite UNTIL I stayed here. I cannot understand the previous people’s Comments and wonder exactly who/what they are. I always used Holiday Inn as you know what you’re getting within a bit. We got more. Asked for a twin room near the lift as registered Disabled. Room 101 was amazing. Huge room, spotlessly clean, EXCELLENT OIL HEATER not the awful air con that kills your chest, superb large shower with absolutely every facility — menu a tad foreign for my taste but the chicken tikka was not too “hot” it was lovely and breakfasts have been exactly what HI Express always produces with tea and coffee on tap. Staff were helpful and maybe this HI has come top of my list now. I think the other people were being totally ridiculous.

Lovely staff. The breakfast was top notch. Parking was easy. It's a bit difficult to find as it's buried in the middle of an enterprise/industrial estate, but other than that spot on.

Sadly, my stay was rather disappointing compared to others' positive experience. My room (11) had an uncomfortable bed with crunching springs, a damaged desk chair, a broken desk lamp and a bed side light that was broken and taped over at the switch. Staff were very friendly overnight and checking in, but the new staff on reception was not very interested at all. Maybe, it was just me being unlucky on the day.

Plenty of parking space. Lovely big bedroom. Very airy and spacious hotel. Good breakfast, recently revamped dining facilities. Very clean. Would recommend.

Stayed last night in room 105. Walked in and was immediately met with a stale fousty drain smell. Dumped bags and went for dinner. Came back and on further inspection of the room I found cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, flakes of dead skin and stains all over the chair and sofa, stains on the lampshades and the carpet was filthy. I went an complained to reception and asked to move rooms. I was told that wasn't possible and asked to move hotels. Again it wasn't possible. The guy behind the desk them said I can move you to another room! I asked to take a look first. Was given the key and went up to view the room. Upon opening the door I heard a 'whoa whoa whoa' a poor man in his pyjamas jumped up from his bed. I was mortified. Apparently 10 seconds earlier I would have seen more than l bargained for. I apologised profusely and went back downstairs to find out why I had been given a key to an occupied room. They couldn't explain why. I tried to find somewhere else to stay but with it being late at night everything was fully booked. I was presented with a bottle of wine this morning when I checked out as an apology! A shame this was a corporate booking otherwise I would have been demanding my money back! Will never be staying in a holiday inn express ever again.

It was ok for the 3 night stay, thought the rooms was clean and spacious, didn't think you got a lot of choice for breakfast considering the amount we'd paid, the location was perfect for us as we was celebrating my sister's 40th birthday and family and friends was staying on the love2stay caravan site which was literally minutes away.

Hotel rooms were very nice. Very large comfy beds. The room itself have a very well maintained bathroom, large TV for the room with freeview. The hotel itself is set in the Shrewsbury business park so doesn't have the best views from the bedroom windows but your not over looked and watched so it's not all that bad. The food isn't fantastic and is all precooked after ordering a chicken burger and chips and the menu staring it was oven cooked it defiantly came out just being microwaved after 3 mins after ordering. There was one 1 desert on the menu and they only had 1 left this was at 7pm so I doubt they were rushed off there feet for food but is what it is. The hotel itself is very nice although I'd defiantly be going into town to get dinner. I would recommend to everyone if comfort and a peaceful night is what your after.

Decent breakfast, lovely staff. Very peaceful location as it's in a business park which was empty for the weekend. Handy for getting to Shrewsbury and the area. Shower was pathetic, and the beds moved at the slightest provocation. But the room was big, clean and the whole place well maintained.

I had a perfectly pleasant 2 night stay. The room was clean and neat. The service was very good. The hotel is in a quiet business park close to town so that's handy. I had a very good stay.

If you just require a room for the night with basic evening meal and basic breakfast then the Holiday Inn Express is fine. Situated more than walking distance from the town centre a taxi or car is really required to get to more restaurants and bars. The room was fine clean and comfortable. Good nights sleep.

Very friendly welcome from the deputy manager. Won a free drink on the members raffle. Room was very spacious, shower was really good with a constant supply of hot water and plenty of room with a sit down area for the disabled or hungover. Breakfast was very nice, lots of variety. Cereal, toast, yogurt, muffins, warm pastries, cheese and of course sausages, beans and eggs. Was only really lacking bacon, but can't really complain because of all the choice. Checkout was easy and again the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Small business hotel, Rooms ok. Not much to do and outsite the City.

Average hotel. Heating seems to be a little temperamental and the location is a little way from the centre of Shrewsbury town. Hotel is quite and rooms generally clean and large. Food at the hotel is decent too.

Clean, quiet with polite staff, excellent breakfast and good meals to be had close to the hotel. I couldnt fault it. I find the constant barrage of emails after my stay very annoying.

Our stay here was very pleasant. The rooms are a good size, the bathroom was impressive. Motel supplies hand wash and moisturiser, and in the shower, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The double bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast as a good choice. For a budget motel it was good value. Downside is it is in a business park, and a good 10min drive to town centre.

We recently stayed in this hotel and were very pleasently surprised and impressed by the decor, spacious and very clean rooms, the useful facilities such as iron, ironing board and large coffee mugs. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was 1st class and continually topped up and was spread over 4 hours so there is no rush. The bar is 24/7. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wished to stay in the shrewsbury area. Thank you for a relaxing and friendly stay.
