Brilliant friendly pub. Sunday lunch was excellent and Staff were wonderful. Highly recommended 👏🤣

What a “Wonderful Pub” a “Real Gem” to find for a drink or a meal. 7 of us have just enjoyed one of the “Best Sunday Roasts” you will ever find, with “Exceptional service and Attention to Detail, including “The Chef himself appearing at our table to ask if everything was good. This is a Very Special place to visit and experience. Beautiful Delicious Fresh Food at realistic prices, with a Politeness and Service at the very Top Level, with your Server wearing White gloves when serving your meal. “A TOUCH OF CLASS” very rarely found anywhere else. First Class in All Respects. A special “Thank You” to John in the Dining room.

Fantastic. Had an amazing few days there at my best friends wedding this week. Food, drink, rooms and staff were all outstanding. My wife and I will definitely be coming again.

We booked a 3 night stay here last weekend we have the fisherman’s rest cottage it was lovely warm and spacious we decided to have all our meals in the pub so we didn’t have to cook and I have to say the food was amazing the breakfast was true value for money we had cereals toast fruit yoghurt a full English and fresh juices I would highly recommend they even did my sister eggs Benedict that wasn’t on the menu the service was superb. The evening meals were all cooked fresh and very tasty I had the lobster and I have to say it was one of the best lobsters 🦞 I have ever had And what was also really lovely is that the chief comes round to each table personally to ask if your happy with the meal. The bar staff were very friendly and Richard was very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us he is a true credit to the pub he was very pleasant and made us feel at home. It’s hard to find a pub like this these days but we will definitely be returning soon as we really enjoyed it. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome. 5 star plus would be hard to find another pub like this.

the bar staff and servers couldn't do enough to help us even brought the cake out Sang happy birthday the house keeper is lovely down to earth and more than happy to sort any problems. completely in love with this place the prices are extremely reasonable we normally use another local close by but after experiencing this venue this will be our new destination for sure

Fantastic food for birthday celebration. Treated ourselves to Mackerel on toast starter, wonderful Lobster specially made for allergy and perfect finish with syrup sponge and lots of custard! Chef Adam genuinely enquired about our meal and was very friendly. Lovely evening and friendly Landlord John making us feel very welcome. Chef Adam said other exciting menus in the planning.

Amazing food, great value and the most friendly and down to earth staff. The chef came out to meet the customers at the end of the dinner shift to see if we were happy with our meals. The landlord also made the effort to talk to us knowing we weren't locals. Will definitely visit again when next in the area.

The Food is nice but the service was rude and inpatient with our group, but friendly to other tables, not professional.

Just had a takeaway roast dinner and pudding. There was no drop in quality or freshness, all perfect and very tasty glad to support through these very weird times will definitely use the takeaway service again.

We are staying in a self contained apartment on the grounds to the pub and it is perfect for the three of us, the pub is a beautiful building with a great atmosphere and a good selection of beers and wines.

Friendly staff and nice food breakfast was lovely and plenty of toast and tea. However we booked a family room which we got but it was situated right above a noisy bar… Which didn't turn the music off until after 12 which isn't ideal with a young child. Please warn families in the future that the noise carries straight up, as does the smoke from the smoking area even with the windows shut. I couldn't recommend for families with children but for others it would be fine. Rooms could do with an update and dust.

Warm and welcoming very friendly staff, very efficient service and the food was absolutely amazing will definitely be back next time we're up this way and will definitely recommend them to try it if they come up xx.

Fantastic place and Richard is a great person, always friendly and making sure you are happy, great live music on a Saturday also.

A great place to stay for the SVR. Try to get a room outside the main building as it can get a little noise in the main bar area on certain evenings. Otherwise very good.

Huge thank you to John and Norma… Richard and Harry and the chef (forgive me I disn't catch his name) however I totally recommend the cajun chicken breast dish… awesome management, as a contractor working away everyone was so welcoming and friendly… had a really good stay, hopefully be working in the area again… also the locals were chatty and most importantly polite and friendly… beautiful scenery from the beer garden also… if I could give 50 stars I would! God bless.

Warm welcome and very accommodating. Nice beer and acceptable food. Spacious and clean room with very comfortable bed, but now beginning to show its age. Main road outside quite noisy.

Nice gardens to sit in when the weather is good, family run pub and restaurant and friendly. Good size portions with food and try the chicken strips starter!

Lovely warm and welcoming historic pub with a traditional feel to it. Range of meals and desserts is excellent, and the food is delicious. There are also occasionally live music and bands playing here.

We have been staying here for a month every year, it, s a family run inn run by John, Norma and Richard King. Excellent hosts.
The meals are excellent. With superb chefs and great bar staff.
Entertainment is on most Saturday nights and Sunday at 8.30 pm is Quiz Night.

We really like this pub it has really good atmosphere. The beer is always good and the food is top notch. It's a mixed crowd most nights which is always nice. There is a large car park and there is plenty of outside seating. Plus there is a heated area for smokers.

A delightful little pub and restaurant with friendly service and good food.

Visited with friends for a lunchtime meal. Staff and locals were not welcoming at all. Then when we were seated in the restaurant they put the rugby on. The meal was average, will not be going back as we were made to feel unwelcome.

We went for a birthday lunch for 26 people including 3 toddlers and were welcomed with open arms. Excellent food and atmosphere.

Rural location with parking. Nice friendly pub with pub food. Warm atmosphere. I believe there is accommodation.

A great place to stay lovely food and a good time to be had in the bar would Highly recommend only stayed one night have to be more days next time thankyou to all involved in making my stay so enjoyable at the Bulls Head Inn.

Only drank here a few times, but beer was good, nice beer garden, pleasant welcoming staff and friendly locals. Dogs welcome too.

Tatty room, marks on walls. Not all that clean inc hairs on bath towel. Saving grace was breakfast — very nice indeed.

Had Sunday lunch there yesterday 13 December 2015. We sat in the bar area. Lunch was delicious, the beef superb. Excellent value for money, nice staff, and very pleasant environment.

We stayed here recently and was looking forward very much to a relaxing break. The area was lovely, our accommodation was basic to say the least, and not as clean as I would have expected. We ate in the restaurant as the menu looked amazing, we sent one starter back which was still frozen, we were told it was not frozen but the butter had solidified on the top. We then sent two main courses back, the gammon, which was fatty and looked more like bacon than gammon, my elderly father said his steak pie was tough, the Landlady brought his meal back to the table and demonstrated that it was not. I said she was patronising us and that in my fathers opinion it was tough. She reduced the bill by the two gammon only. Other diners in the restaurant that evening senttheir meals back also. I would not stay in this accommodation again or recommend it to anyone.

We booked a table for our wedding anniversary as we were staying nearby and we were looking forward to a tasty treat. On arrival at the pub, we were eventually given a menu and waited to be seated (not sure of the reason for the wait as the restaurant wasn't very busy but thats a very minor thing). The menu looked fantastic with some very creative sounding dishes. Unfortunately, the food delivered to our table was average at best and did not have enough flavour. My wife and I both had fish dishes in different sauces and the sauces were fairly tastless which was a shame as the dish was pleasant enough apart from that. The texture and taste of the sauces reminded me of packet sauce mixes to be honest. I would have to say that the food is overpriced for what you get. Finally, the service at the pub was not good. The waitresses were grumpy and when I tried to pay my bill, I was handed a credit card machine and asked to "hand it in the bar when I had finished", leaving me to process the transaction myself. In conclusion, disappointing! ; — (.

We stayed here with another couple. The rooms were almost had a new makeover. Both rooms were huge. We reserved a table for dinner as for thursday night. Meal was fantastic. Breakfast was very well done. The owers were very helpful, and so too were the staff. I would recommend this to any one.
