Nice modern hotel if all areas were a little cold. Difficult to get any decent heat from the heat pumps. Rooms were spacious with all the usual amenities. Good included breakfast with a choice of cooked or continental.

2nd visit here. Great location for visiting Oxford. Plenty of eating places nearby. Staff very helpful and friendly. Enough breakfast choice and bar area for relaxing in. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

Great place to stay. Bed was comfortable. Great breakfast included in package. Nice bar for a cold one and a nightcap after a big day discovering Oxford. Had a cold bag with nibbles and drinks, and ice was not a problem. They would also put cold items in fridge / freezer for you
Close to park and ride to get into central Oxford. Would certainly recommend.

The shower was freezing cold, no hot water at all, no alternate breakfast offered for guests leaving before breakfast opens, very poor.

If you are staying at this hotel no food available and only 2 local restaurants which you have to navigate dark car parks around a football stadium didn't feel safe. Hotel was nice in its self let down by no evening meals.

Had a one night stay there. The staff was nice and check-in was quick. Room was clean. Should have more options in the breakfast. It was vary far from City centre. It is located near Kassam stadium. While leaving hotel, we went there and asked for a tour. The staff over there was very nice and it gave us a nice short and sweet tour.

No airco. Very loud outside. Impossible to sleep with open windows. Bad breakfast. No stairs. I always had to take the lift to first level. No food at the bar. Not even smal snacks. I would recommend to spend few pound more for a way better hotel.

Old and heavily used rooms with very bad climate. No real airflow and windows open only a few centimetres. Good thing is the big car park around the hotel. Rather on the expensive side especially for the low quality.

Lovely clean room. Small double bed. Didn't get tea/coffee replenished. Really good breakfast. Only 1 bath towel in bathroom found another one on top of wardrobe after we'd asked for another. Would deffo use Holiday inn again.

Nice fair sized double room. Bed was a little soft for my liking, but it was all very clean. Good pressure in the shower (always a bonus). Bar products were a bit lacking in choice. Breakfast was plenty of choice. Smoking area bins need emptying which I mentioned to reception, but they didn't seem concerned.

Good location to get the bus into Oxford, takes about 20 minutes. 10%discount at eatiers at the Vue complex behind hotel if you produce your room entry card. Good choice of food at breakfast, full English or continental buffet style which is included in room price, tea n coffee in rooms, free parking, free Wi-Fi. We stayed here to visit Mini factory, five minutes up the road, and shopping in Oxford.

Great hotel if not disabled. My dad is disabled and we stay in many hotels. We booked in to the hotel as a twin room. Arrived at the hotel with a warm welcome. Arrived at our room to find a double. That's not a problem we often stay in a double. But to find out they gave our room away for no reason was irritating. We continued the stay with a bit of time at the bar… The seats in the bar were covered in what I can only describe as sweat staines. I would rather sit on the floor than the seats. We had a drink nice service the staff spoke numerous languages so interaction with all guest was great. We left the hotel for the evening and returned to find all disabled parking spaces were taken. Only to find that some/most By people with out blue badges. Now I know people may have a disability that doesn't qualify them for a blue badge but in what world does a high way maintenance van qualify to park in a disabled space. Now it's not like there was no normal parking spaces. We brought this to the attention of the Night manager and his response was THEY ARE OUR BIGGEST CLIENT WE CAN'T ASK THEM TO MOVE. Poor poor poor.

This is an amazing place to stay. My wife and I were backpacking and found it very cost effective to take the city bus in and out of Oxford. Very clean and quiet, moreover, the breakfast was excellent.

Good place for those who like quiet zones… this place is a bit away from. Main oxford city. Bus stops are about 5 to 15 min walk. Rooms are comfortable but there are. No frige no proper cupboard.

Good price and comfortable no restaurant but you can order food by phone and you can eat it at the hotel leaving you tables, cutlery etc.

Hello, Personally I won't recommend to stay at this hotel, we were in Room 221 and the Heater does not work and the room was cold and chilling we barely could sleep in the night. The reception said they don't have any portable heater … the staff will make all the excuses in the world… and the best is They don't give you body lotion if you forgot to carry one… They say " We are out of Stock… Wow Holiday inn is out of stock … Poor Bed and Management… HORRIBLE AVOID STAYING … THERE re other good places … we are not extending our stay… I could have given a half star …

We were very pleased with our stay there Friday night. It was clean, comfortable and staff were very helpful. We had a good breakfast yesterday and for a small fee out son joined us. Very pleased with the overall service and would stay there again.

Nice, comfortable and quiet hotel. Maybe it will be busy and noisy if there is a game in the stadium as it is right next to it. Breakfast is good and wide variety, although the same each day. Staff helpful and polite.

I stay at lots of Holiday Inns, this one blows hot and cold, it's either good or bad. Last week was bad, check in not welcomed as an IHG member, bar man poured my Brandy in a tall glass, Brandy glasses next to them behind the bar, no Orange juice at breakfast, scrambled egg like plaster. It won't stop me going back again, just a shame it's not consistent.

Rooms are fine and staff are very pleasent.
The bar area is pretty uninspiring and cold to boot.
The lack of any food in the evening is a major drawback especial when the weather is bad.
You can order a takeaway to be delivered but it's not the best solution.
Will certainly make me think twice about rebooking.

We arrived at our hotel after visiting the cinema which we thought was great as it is so close by. We checked in and was asked for a £30 deposit even though we had already paid for our room which we thought was pointless and odd. Our room was pretty bog standard to be honest and the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, awful sleep! Not nice when you are pregnant. Mattress was absolutely awful. The breakfast was pretty bog standard too. After usually using premier inn, I definitely won't be visiting the Holiday Inn again I'm afraid!

Regular user of the Holiday Inn chain. Very disappointed that there is no evening food whatsoever. Options are to get someone to deliver or to walk 5 minutes. Option 2 was very dark and bitterly cold. Especially since I'd come down without a coat because I wasn't planning on going out. Everything else was at least up to the standards I would expect from the chain. The room was fine. The staff were friendly and sufficient in numbers. No long waits for checkin or the bar (*Cough* Golders Green *Cough*) But the lack of food costs it a star. If they've somewhere to cook breakfast, then they've somewhere to warm up a pre-prepared tikka masala, like most of the chain does.

Good basic hotel right by the Kassam Stadium. Beds are comfortable showers a hot room is clean and comfortable the bathroom has been cleverly designed so that someone can use the toilet privately with the door shut whilst the sink and shower area are still accessible. Basic toiletries — well really it's a sort of combined shower gel and hair wash and a drinks tray are provided. Not the most glamorous location but can't go wrong if you want something cheap good and cheerful. Staff all seem very helpful and there is a free hot breakfast in the morning that now includes scrambled egg sausages bacon and baked beans as well as a wealth of cereals toast pastries etc there is no restaurant on site but there are restaurants within walking distance at the Vue Centre where there is also a cinema and the bowling alley. You can also ordering takeaways to eat in the lounge downstairs if the local facilities do not suit. Overall a bargain. If your budgets does not run to taxis then the number 5 bus stops nearby which will go straight into town and to Oxford rail station.

The hotel is located close to Kassam Stadium on the south of Oxford. It was ideally situated for our visit as we were visiting our son in Iffley. There are restaurants close by if you wish to eat somewhere different. The hotel was comfortable and the rooms were clean and suitable for our purposes. The buffet breakfast included in the cost of our room is very good. It is all you can eat and there are hot and cold options and hot drink and juice too. Parking is free and the hotel can organise a taxi to the city centre too. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly and obliging. For the price, the hotel couldn't be better for us, we will definitely be back.

Little bit of a distance from Oxford (but right next to the stadium if you are a football fan! ). Clean and well featured hotel. Great food for breakfast… staff were incredibly helpful. Has a good taxi service also so Oxford is in reach.

The room was nice. The bed could have been a little bit bigger for 2 people but overall it was a fine place to stay. The price was very good as well.

I had a room on the ground floor which was a bit noisy. There was no way to control the room temperature and it could do with updating. Service was excellent and breakfast was reasonable.

Very good value since the room was very nice, however the mattress could have been better. A full breakfast was included in the stay which was lovely. The location was very good since just on the other side of the stadium was a place which had a bowling alley, a Frankie and Bennie's, a Chinese Oriental and a cinema. The stadium didn't proved to be an annoyance to use since there was no football match or event on at the time we were staying. All in all this hotel was a great place to stop for a night as we went to my university open day the following day.

Quite remote and incommunicado from downtown Oxford. Good breakfast and clean rooms.

Leaves much q want n bathroom cleaning, spring mattress q is beat… I don't recommend it.

For a short overnight stay it was OK for three of us. The room was a little cramped and rather hot with no air con and limited opening of windows (legal requement I gather) quite a bit of noise from the car park late into the night. The room had the bed made up for my daughter (some places don't bother) and the towels supplied for all of us and nice big ones. The shower was lovely and hot and quite powerful which was great. Body wash etc suplied in the bottles seemed quite nice too. We did ask for another mug and some extra tea and coffee which was no problem. Breakfast was quite busy but plenty to eat not a gourmet offering but plenty to fill you up. Plenty of parking just register your car at reception.

I've stayed at Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses before but this was by far one of the worst. When we checked in, we went to our room to realise it was already occupied by someone else (There belongings scattered everywhere). We went back to reception to let them know but they just looked at us puzzled. The room was very basic considering it was a "deluxe". The drinks at the bar where very over priced. The breakfast was awful. The buffet was tiny, overcrowded and generally awful. The sausages and eggs where disgusting. Toast and ceriel was about as good as it gets. Hot drinks where nothing to write home about. I wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed two nights at this hotel. It was not bad. Very clean and nice staff. Breakfast is free and they have a lot of good variety. It was a bit far from Oxford University and Train Station (about 35-40 minutes). We had a positive experience.

Lovely, helpful and polite staff. Good breakfast. Very exspensive at £135.00 for 1 night but had no choice, family emergency, late night booking otherwise would have gone elsewhere. Only supply basic toiletries (except shower gel and soap) on request, elsewhere normally readily available.

Staff were nice. The bed was comfy. Blinds were dreadful as they allowed a lot of light through in the morning. Breakfast was ok. Plenty of spaces to park (for free). Location was good as it is near (walking distance) to a cinemas, bowling alley and places to eat.

Very decent budget hotel. It's out of town, but you can get a number five bus nearby that goes up the Cowley road, through the town centre and to the station. Room was clean spacious and had a large bed, as well as a sofa and desk. Hot decent shower, and adequate towels. Kettle and mugs provided for making hot drinks. There is no dinner restaurant on site, but you can order in take away or go to the Vue Cinema complex nearby which has Frankie and Benny's, fish and chips and two buffet restaurants. Staff have always been pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is included in the room rate, 3 hot items, sausages beans and scrambled eggs, and a good choice of baked goods, cereals fruit juice, and other continental breakfast items. Free I newspaper is provided. Value for money, and comfortable.

Right at the stadium but far away from the city. You can't expect anything. Cleanliness is not okay. Bathroom very old. Breakfast very basic. But suitable for the price in the region.

If you have been to a Holiday Inn Express before, then you will know what to expect from the room and breakfast. The hotel is pretty new, which means that the rooms and facilities are all good. On top of that it has a good sized car park and very friendly staff. Not recommended if you are on foot. It will cost you £12 for a taxi into central Oxford, otherwise it's a10 minute walk to the nearest bus station.

The hotel has nice rooms and friendly staff. It is also located close to Ozone which has a few restaurants, bowling complex and a cinema. I have been woken up a few times with the cleaning staff not paying attention to the "do not disturb" sign on that handle; this is very frustrating as I work night shifts. Overall nice hotel though. Would be better if it had a restaurant and a better breakfast.

It was pretty basic but it was fine. Clean stuff, friendly staff. The only bad things were the pillowcases kinda stunk and the breakfast was super simple.

Room is basic and decor is a bit dated. Breakfast wasn't very appealing either. Staff were friendly enough though. No frills hotel if you just need somewhere to stay.

Clean room. The location is inconvenient. The bus stop to go somewhere 10 minutes. Breakfast is the same every day, poor choice. Online the first day for free, then pay that when the room rate is simply incredible.

You get what you pay for. Ie a room with a bed. No point in an in depth review, they are all same. Soulless.

Its our first time in oxford and I must say that I have really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff is amazing and very friendly! And I must say that the best asset of this hotel is their staff! My partner and I definately going to recommend this hotel to our friends.

Positive : Good access, excellent conditions. Negative: I'm a pretty regular customer on professional basis and I got upset to hear that one of their Accounts people Cristiano is not working there anymore. A clever guy and I think a big loss for the hotel.
