Among the best 4 stars ever visited before. Great breakfast offer with a really varied and great assortment. Large rooms with LCD screen 55! Bathroom with some slight flaws of typical English conception, more than 15 minutes x find the switch of turning off the bathroom lights, in fact had to intervene the reception staff to explain to me that the rope hanging from the ceiling is not the alarm lifesaver but the switch I was looking for in vain on the walls! Cmq apart from that, really pleasant stay.

A nice hotel to stay in Nottingham! Room given was of a high standard, spacious and airy. I considered it very good value for money. I stayed for 2days and it was in the weekend, hotel location is very near to the happening places in Nottingham and Castle is just on a walk. Room windows are facing the road but inside room was calm and quiet. But there was a gap found on the room door and the floor so the corridor sounds are coming to the room as well.

Very clean, lovely staff, comfy rooms, great breakfast selection. Only issue was the noise (a) from a local bar and (b) from revellers knocking on room doors at 3am! Would definitely use again.

The hotel is comfortable, somewhat modern. In an excellent location. 15 min walk to the train station. Much shorter walk to town centre. The breakfast was great, a huge selection. The rooms were on a street with nightclubs and were very noisy. Didn’t get much sleep on the Friday night.

So disappointing. Everything seems wonderful on the surface. But … mini bar was warm and the cupboard it was in was filthy and rotten, the drain plug in the sink was broken and it was a hands and knees job under it to get water drain away, there were no bathrobes due to laundry issues and the breakfast, well, just stick to the continental choices.

What an amazing hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were amazing! They even prepared me a suprise birthday cake for me within half hour of arriving. Will definitely be staying again!

A perfectly fine, no-frills Hotel. The staff were all very kind, and the room service came quickly. The staff was accommodating, and the rooms were quite large. There were no clocks in the room, and no USB ports for charging electronics. Great location, quite close to the castle and other attractions.

I come here for work. My colleagues take the Micky because they've all decided that the one feature of the hotel that means they sleep elsewhere is the "water pressure". It doesn't bother me. Reception and foyer feel decidedly 3 star but the rooms are just about 4 star. They could. Do with a bit of. A freshen up, but the rooms are quiet, which is my key metric. For location and quietness, I'll continue to stay here while on business. (The checkbox on the checking form requesting invoices be emailed, has never produced results. I ALWAYS have to email to request my invoice be sent on. ) Oh and their website is totally broken at the moment! Lots of blank pages with error messages.

A great stay in Nottingham. They have a small rooftop gym for those who like to use a treadmill a with view. I like the staff who is always friendly and accommodates your needs and they have two great restaurants (chino Latino and Oaks) ask for the rooms with the new air conditioning and with a view.

A lovely room, helpful and friendly staff We stayed for 2nights as a break away from work, my husband is a workaholic! Such a relaxing time, close to the centre with loads of varying restaurants. Definitely have the breakfast here, it's amazing and reminded my husband and I of the wonderful assortment of breakfast foods that we had in Barbados. We'll absolutely be back! And thank you so much Park Plaza for a relaxed and easy going visit. You're great xz.

Terrible, let's list the issues. TV didn't work. Menu was ripped on the page with the order number on, so couldn't actually order Room Service. The bed sheet didn't cover the mattress fully. Got told to show my room key on the way in every time I entered even though the woman asking me had seen me 3 times in an hour and nobody else was there. No mirror near the seating area to get ready in, and the walls are so thin the people in the next room could easily hear the other half having fun. Far too noisy with clubs right outside. Curtains didn't close so people could probably see us naked! And the cleaners woke us up at the crack of dawn slamming doors and furniture in the rooms next door.

Hotel is ideally situated close to all the popular amenities of Nottingham. Inside the hotel is stylish and contemporary with lifts available to all floors. The room I stayed in was a superior double room which was immaculate. Upon entering the room we found that an extra key card had been left in the room and the heating had been left on. Although the room was clean and tidy the sheer heat had caused the milk to be off. The team at reception quickly amended this and were very helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

Staff nice and welcoming, decor nice and modern. TV in room had its sensor in the wrong place so if you have anything on the table like the phone it blocks the remote. The heating and air con is very flexible and adjustable but not intuitive and may confuse some needs better instructions with it. Menu for room service was contradictory to other information in the room and some items incorrectly priced £200 for some j2o juice l. Lovely stay though just a few quirks.

Great 10th floor comfortable bed, large room with spacious en-suite. Panoramic views over Nottingham although triple glazing meant room was quiet. Breakfast was excellent, good selection of fresh fruit & usual buffet. Staff friendly and efficient. Stayed here last time in Nottingham. Recommended.

Really nice hotel, well located in the centre of Nottingham. Room was very well equipped and of good size, full sky package in the room was a bonus. Very friendly staff, couldn't complain. Was a bit of weird smell in the foyer which smelt like an old cafe. But could be due to so many restaurants surrounding it.

I used to say that this is the best hotel in Nottingham, but … Nov 30th they had a fire in the kitchen. So I wasn't allowed to sleep in my room and I wasn't allowed to get my stuff out until next morning. That was not very pleasant, but of course it wasn't their fault. So it is nothing that should be rated here. Everything else was super. Nice breakfast, nice rooms, friendly staff, …

Location is really good for shopping and arena. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Room was OK but definitely not the best I've stayed in. No instructions on how to use the air conditioning and the bathroom was freezing. The beds were comfy but the duvet was quite small for the bed. The curtains were right above your head so in the morning the light was on your head. There was also a draught on your head too.

Had a good night. Room was nice and well equipped. Disappointed that you have to pay £15 a day for parking. Breakfast is good but it seems they want to kick you out before your done and they seem to be quite itchy about wanting you to pay. I was enjoying myself and the waitress came over and asked for payment even though I wasn't done yet. I paid and as I was leaving another waiter asked if I had paid. They seemed to want you out. I was first one in at 7am. Place was empty when I arrived and empty when I left, so why the hurry?

Good location near to shops and restaurants etc. Lovely room clean comfortable and good facilities e. G. Iron, hairdryer, sky tv. Breakfast very good but restaurant quite small and can get busy at peak times. Staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the hotel, and had dinner before retiring for our first wedding anniversary! The dinner at Chino Latino downstairs was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from in a tapas-like dining experience as we had it! All the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was prompt, and flawless. The room was also wonderful, with great air conditioning and a very well appointed and comfortable bed. Even breakfast was a hit, with every conceivable cooked, fruity, and continental option on hand. 9/10, would recommend.

Excellent quadruple bed, superb breakfast (with black pudding), deep bath and massive telly with sky. strong Wi-Fi throughout the building. Air-conditioned meeting rooms and bedrooms. low ceilings (noisy) weird lunch and consistently luke warm coffee let it down.

The information about parking was out of date on the website: if you park at St James Street NCP it will be £14 for 24 hours. The location is really central and there's some great places for food nearby such as Zaap and Oak. The room was fairly standard size for the rate. Each to their own with beds: here it's soft, overstuffed mattresses that leave you worrying you're going to fall out, with feather pillows. So I'm terms of sleep I've had better nights but you might have a different experience if you prefer soft beds and lots of pillows. Outside noise was a lot quieter than you'd expect for a hotel on Maid Marian Way but that's offset by the loudest air conditioning unit in the world that you need to keep the room at a reasonable temperature. We tried turning it off but it got so hot I woke up in the early hours with a banging headache and dehydration effects as if I'd been on an all-night-bender which I hadn't. Again, if you like a really warm bedroom this will be a selling point for you. All of my points so far have been down to preference. The one genuine complaint is the bathroom. It was just a bit grubby for a 4-star hotel. Disturbingly the bathroom door was frosted glass which meant you could see the shape of anyone using the toilet. I love my husband very much and I have no desire to see him on the porcelain throne. The door also had a tendency to pop open if you didn't lock it.

Staff are pleasant but the hotel and bar on a Friday night was like a ghost town. Room cost £75 but it wasn't really worth it, had a better experience at Roomzzzz for less. The bathroom was grubby and hadn't been cleaned properly, the air conditioning was extremely noisy and couldn't be left on overnight — but the room was sweltering without it. Shower was almost unusable as none of the controls were labelled so it just blasted scalding water uncontrollably. Location is good, but try to find on Street parking which in many parts of Nottingham is flat rate from 6pm until 8am. Park Plaza recommend the James Street multistorey which their website says they have a rate of £9 for 24 hours, but the receptionist could only offer £14 for just over 12 hours.

Attending as a witness at a professional practice hearing. Food provided was basic and there was a mix up in the kitchen meaning it was also delayed, however staff were courteous and helpful.

Fantastic Hotel in a great city centre location. The room was very high quality. Friendly staff and the attached Restaurant was good as well. Only disappointing aspect was nobody answering room service (because of the good location there were some 24 hour options near by)

Booked an overnight stay last minute, check in was quick and simple, room was excellent and very clean. Location was handy for city centre. All in all a very pleasant stay would highly recommend.

Helpful staff, happy to accommodate all my requests. Food was nice, again happy to cater Gluten Free when requested. Hotel room was really nicely fitted out, great size and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

One of the big hotels in Nottingham is the Park Plaza It is located just on the side of the city centre and about a 10 minute walk from the station, or a 2 minute walk from the tram stop. A taxi from the station is about £5. The entrance and lobby feels a little out of place as it is quite wide as well as narrow and there are step up to the lift area directly in front of you as you enter and there are pillars hiding part of the reception desk which is on the left next to the restaurant. The gym is located on the top floor with a good selection of machines and equipment and has a great view of the town. The rooms are modern and airy with a oak coloured furniture and light colours and bathrooms are a good size with good amenities. If you select a suite or business room you get a Nespresso machine and premium tea in the room. The restaurant is modern with a bar as the centre piece serving European food. Breakfast is good with both a English and Continental section. Service is good but sadly the hotel dies seem a little dull without any edge over the other hotels in town. Overall a solidly good hotel at the heart of town.

Excellent location as in centre of Nottingham. Rooms are lovely and clean. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. No parking however they will give you a better price on the car park opposite the hotel.

First room we were put in was very small so we paid for an upgrade to a king room. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. Very nice stay.

Good city centre location giving you great access to nearby shops and pubs/restaurants. The rooms are very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. My only criticism was that we booked a twin room (two single beds) and upon our arrival they were set as a double that we had to separate. Once separated the duvets were only just about wide enough to cover the bed, let alone the person underneath! As it was warm enough this wasn't a problem for us but could be for someone who feels the cold a little more!

Good service, bed was comfortable and the room was overall quite nice. Door to bathroom was broken, however, and the TV wasn't working (although I wasn't really in need of it anyway). Location was very good, right in the centre of the city with close access to amenities.

Good location in the center of town. Easy to walk pretty much anywhere. Modern-ish hotel with a good restaurant.

I read few reviews of this hotel before but to be honest they do not reflect my experience. They hotel is centrally located. I even decided to walk from the rail station rather than taking a taxi and it only took me only 15 minutes. Lots of restaurants around and a tesco right opposite. Lovely room and extremely spacious for me (no need much space) love the eminis amenities plus minibar choices were awesome. Staff really friendly and events room at the 11 floor (which I attended tonight) perfect for a group of max 70. Excellent experience. Just loved to have had the breaky included.

Onlu stopped for a short time. Bar is rubbish and expensive.

Disappointing stay here recently. The junior suite bed was very uncomfortable and when we asked to change the rock hard pillow for something softer we were told there weren't any other pillows! Quite a poor effort really considering it's supposed to be one of the highest star hotels in Nottingham. Doubt I'll be staying here again, I've had more comfortable stays in much cheaper hotels. The restaurant on the other hand is fab, but the hotel needs to improve in my opinion.

Quite and old hotel that needs a refurb. Can be quite dark. Otherwise ok.

I stayed in a refurbished twin room with a colleague. Fortunately we know each other well as the twin beds were extremely close together with no opportunity to move apart as the room was small. The room smelled a bit eggy. The decor generally was nice and fresh however the furniture was a little worn. The bathroom was lovely and clean and bright, but the instructions/temperature guide around the bath's mixer tap had worn of so I scalded myself when the shower inadvertently came on full temperature. Generally OK for the price but not fantastic.

Nice quiet comfortable room in a city centre location with accommodating staff. Nice breakfast but found it difficult to be served coffee. Would have preferred to be offered coffee upon arrival to the breakfast hall rather than having to flag down a server. Overall though a great experience.

It's quite nice. Even has a gym and a lovely room. It's near town and close to all the places you want go. It's sublime.

Room upgraded to a suite, which was nice. However, the air con was loud and couldn't be kept on low overnight. Location was very central, however this meant that you could hear nearby students late into the night.

Nice hotel, up to 11 floors, the lifts are fast and frequent. The hanging art around the hotel is really nice, the room was nice, looked clean, however the taps have a slight drainage smell when used. It's not the water just the plumbing. Windows do open but beware Maid Marion Way is very noisy. The centre is very near and there is a small supermarket on the other side of the road (handy for milk if you don't like uht portions). Good hotel overall.

Nice room, clean. No bother all night. A bit of outside night life noise but not too bad. Would stay again.

Loud noises from the Bars up in the night. Cleanliness in the room left a lot to be desired. After three Inquiries at the front Desk was the room cleaned.

Great place to stay. Central for the shops, nightlife and tourism. Professional and welcoming staff. Excellent food and value for money. Stayed several times now and really cannot fault it.

At present stating at Park plaza in Nottingham in room 417 make sure you never get booked into this room it is situated near loift and the noise from the lift is impossible I had my worst nights sleep ever Sarah on the desk informs me that some people actually like this room which is very difficult to understand. I could go on about the sink not working and stains on the carpet, anyway you have been warned.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was fine. There is a charge for internet access. This is supposedly a four star hotel — one would expect it be to be offered as a free service to guests! If you need to use the internet for emails, on-line banking etc, you'd be better off staying at another hotel in Nottingham.

Room and bathroom clean. High level of noise from nearby pubs at night even though we were on the tenth floor at the rear of the hotel. Ear plugs are however provided. Building site also to rear, but not a problem as we stayed over the weekend. Breakfast OK, buffet style full English, a little slow with replacing hot dishes.
