Amazing food and great service.

Had an amazing meal, fabulous staff especially during difficult times. Even helped us out when our taxi didn’t turn up.
Can’t wait to go back.!

Four of us went and had differant meals and they were all amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. With the 50% off offer its brilliant value for money. We will definitely be going back.

Great menu & food. The service was excellent. Only criticism was that the table we were on was far too close to the next customers. Not even an arm's length away & you could hear their conversation very clearly.
Overall very good & would definitely recommend.

This is a regular haunt for me. Love the place and the people. Today I had a cream tea for first time and it was brilliant, check out pic… also with open fire it’s a real treat on cold night!

Stayed overnight, ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Room comfy and the breakfast is fresh and well presented. Excellent value.

I stayed here. Room was beautiful (after checking into a room that was not set up for 4 people). Buffet breakfast was delicious. Staff were just a group of wonderful people. Emily gets a special mention. She found my daughter's lost toy and mailed it to us (and we live half way around the world). Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in that area!

Visited few times. Food is good. Customer service is superb. Have indoor and outdoor seating.

I went with a group of 9 people for a work lunch. Food is very nice and well priced. Staff are polite and the meals came after around 20 mins. They were aksi happy to calculate prices for each individual at the end.

My husband and I bought a friend here for lunch and all I can say is it was sublime. The parfait desert was a delight. Myself and my husband also had a room for the night which was very comfortable which was followed by a breakfast which was the perfect size with good quality ingredients.

Very nice little hotel in a former mansion. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and good food with entitlement. Lovingly furnished rooms. The hotel is quiet and is just a few minutes ' drive from the centre.

Went for business lunch. Good quick, friendly service. Food was basic Pub Food recipes but styled up and a bit different. Good tableware and cutlery.

Great food and was served quick not the best kids menu for fussy eaters but still a good selection. Friendly staff and fairly priced menu.

I liked our server Lynn. She was very discrete and very sweet. The menu was OK if a little pretentiously described.
The steak was perfectly prepared though small. I would have paid for the extra had it been a better sized portion. Overall quite nice.

Huge modern and tastefully decorated room, everything spotlessly clean! The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and great shower. I requested an iron and an ironing board for my room and it was there waiting for me when I arrived. Decent tea, coffee and biscuits + bottled water on a refreshments tray which is a nice touch. Nice breakfast with local products and nice little touches like fresh milk in an old glass milk bottle. I would certainly recommend this place and I will definitely be staying here again! Stayed here alone as a single business traveller. Felt completely comfortable and at ease. 5 February 2018.

I love this place. We go here for Christmas, work functions and Birthdays. The staff are great and the food is amazing. I cannot fault!

Had a family overnight stay there for a funeral the next day.
Found it to be overall a little expensive.
Staff were friendly and responsive.
One of the rooms we booked was spacious enough for the two of us but the other room was very cramped.
Evening meal was very good with a fair choice of courses.
The main criticism apart from the cost was the breakfast. It was dry, overcooked (poached eggs should ideally not be hard boiled in the middle and taste excessively of vinegar).
Another couple had joined us there for the family funeral and no one thought anything about the breakfast, most of us leaving at least half of it.

Haven't been to the Hopping Hare for 3 years but called in on Saturday morning for a coffee. Nice fire to sit beside, a place with a good ambience and very smart venue where I should have returned for lunch. If you are passing don't miss calling in.

Pub food on another scale fantastic value for money. The breakfast was beautiful, all fresh local ingredients if you need somewhere to stay make this the first choice its a must!

The food here is unbelievable. One, if not the best pub restaurant in Northampton. The restaurant is high quality and reasonably well priced. Good set menus for large parties and a decent bar, well stocked with a good range of draught beers.

Unfortunately not very tasty at all. Had roast chicken, veg and pate for starters. I can't honesty say I've ever eaten such bland and tasteless food before. Sorry to say. I had been here previously and the food was of a much higher quality. The service was excellent, and so is the ambience.

The place is very clean and spacious with a area to sit around the bar and the further round the corner is more of a restaurant seated area. The food here is more on the pricey side, but for the price you pay, you get some amazing food.

Went to Hopping Hare for husband's birthday lunch. Super meal. Good size portions and cooked to perfection. I had the roast beef and it was so tender. Hubby had the chicken and was very happy. Glad I booked two weeks ago as it was very, very busy. Excellent venue. Will be back.

Been here all week, and it's mint. Very friendly staff with very good knowledge of the menu. I had a single room which to be fair was too warm though it did have a fan in it. Shower was excellent. Food and drink were a little pricey but above standard. I ate every day in the bar and restaurant and was never disapointed, I even had the super food salad with hot chicken twice, and I will be making it when I get home. Breakfast was always hot and cooked superbly. The chef is top dollar. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay or a fantastic meal.

Nice bar located on the outskirts of town. Offers good selection of drinks and a cosy places to enjoy them. The real feature of this places is its food. Tasty, using range of great ingredients and presented in creative, artistic manner.

Fantastic Food — we had lovely deserts. Presentation is just perfect and often so amusing and creative. Taste won't disappoint. Quite good price for the distinctive experience it provides. Recommended to anyone visiting Northampton.

Surprising place, old Manor house, surrounded by more modern housing estate. Charming rooms, excellent dinner, good breakfast. Fast Wi-Fi. Very impressed.

Ate here last night for the first time, tried to get a table a few times before but has always been fully booked and I can see why. Best food in Northampton. We went for the tasting menu, which they have only recently started doing. 5 courses for £29.95 was good value for money and the food was excellent, very deserving of it's 2 AA rosettes. Staff were attentive and friendly also.

Lovely location. The hotel itself is well thought out. The bar is pleasing and they had a good variety of drinks. Can't comment on the food other than breakfast, which was great. However service was very slow. Other than that it was great, we would definitely stay again.

Food is incredible, at both lunch and dinner. Comfy rooms for the night.

I've never stayed there but the bar is very nice and the food is great, lacks a bit on service as its a bit slow but if your prepared to wait its a nice place to do so and when what you ordered arrives its very nice.

Very good service, even though they were busy with Christmas party they accommodated me and my friends for a lovely dinner. Definitely will try to visit again.

Nice place but the food is a disaster…

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Pros: wonderful food for complimentary breakfast and if you have a chance to eat at the hotel for dinner: do it, the whole ambience of the hotel from the lobby/bar to your room is beautiful, modern and cozy, the wait staff are incredibly helpful and polite. Literally I cannot think of anything wrong, except there are a lot of stairs up to some of the rooms.

Wonderful food, a menu with real thought and individual dishes. Hospitable and friendly, they made the family very welcome. Highly recommended as a great place to eat in Northampton.

Good surroundings and service.

I have been here twice for an evening meal. On both occasions the Service was excellent and the food tasted great. The Steak course at around £18 was fantastic served with chips cooked in duck fat in a small circular-handled steel cup, some caramelised red onions and tiny roasted cherry tomatoes — I don't believe the rocket was really required or added anything to the dish. I will definitely be returning if not for the food, then perhaps the relaxed, cosy atmosphere and a few drinks, Mark.

Myself n husband have been going here for lunch and dinners for the last 4 year's. Rated it much higher than Jamie olivers fifteen reaturant for atmosphere n service. Fantastic.

Rooms fantastic. Breakfast and evening meal were of good quality. Only comment I would make is the evening menu was a little pretentious and over priced — but I guess that what some people were loving. Staff very helpful with storing the bike.

Arrived tired and hungary. I found staff relaxed and friendly, my room excellent and the food delicious — great value for money, they even had well kept real ale. Clearly whoever runs this place cares about their job. Thanks.
