We held our Wedding and wedding Reception here at the Holiday Inn and was not disappointed. Sarah was great in booking everything and then Bob took over in assisting us both the night before and on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole staff were so friendly. They made our day so special and I would not hesitate in staying there and booking them for future events. Don’t discount this place for a Wedding venue. Value for money and a great atmosphere. 5 stars isn’t enough for these guys! Thanks Bob and team!

Satisfactory stay, family room had two double beds and large TV, rooms size was fine for the 4 of us, room clean and modern, only thing to watch out for us if you eat then a service charge is added to the bill, ok if you don't paying it for good service. Breakfast is good with a good selection of food but had to ask for items when ran out as not always checking. Overall we would return.

Friendly staff, clean room, good shower / bath. Food average. Executive room extras did not live up to expectations.

Had friends staying here last night and went for a meal. I was disappointed that they do not stock any alchol-free beer. In these times when we are encouraged to monitor our alcohol intake I was forced to drink soft drinks. Alcohol free beers and lagers have improved significantly so Holiday Inn please move with the times.

Not that great for business travelers from abroad! The hotel decor is antiquated and even in the room the furniture is at best tacky. There is no refrigerator nor microwave in the room which I found lacking. The air conditioner was so loud in the room which I asked for a room fan to keep me cool. The breakfast and meals here are outstanding yet they advertise having items if you forget them and yet didn't have lotion when I asked the hotel manager who seemed short in his response. Closing, like most business travelers we do expect the creature comforts from home and this place is lacking. IMG corporation, spend a little money and put some modern features in the hotel so travelers abroad can enjoy them. Otherwise, I gave the hotel two starts simply because it needs to do more. Also, please add wash clothes as many from the US do expect to see these in hotels just like in the US. I had to go out and purchase one for use here.

Good location. Some of the rooms have recently renovated bathrooms which is great. No air-conditioning in the rooms, only a clanky fan built in to the wall. This necessitates opening the window which means traffic noise and smoke if you are at the front of the hotel. Breakfast is pretty good and meals in the restaurant are good but pricey (£3.75 service charge?! Really?! ). The gym is a “mini-gym” with four machines and a small rack of weights — really not impressive.

Very disappointing. Very tired and no air-conditioning. Would certainly not recommend it. Most of the staff however were really helpful and smiling people.

Had a great stay, fast, efficient check in and check out, comfortable and clean room with plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Lovely atmosphere in the lounge bar last night, meal was excellent with friendly service. Had a good night’s sleep. Then downstairs for a cooked breakfast this morning which really set me up for the day. Will definitely be returning.

Nice and friendly staff, breakfast excellent. Lovely new bathroom but rooms need some tlc, a refurbishment wouldn't go a miss to match bathrooms. Also new mattresses required to get a better nights sleep especially if you suffer with a back problem. Otherwise, a good location for amenities and room prices very competitive. Would stay again but may upgrade to an executive room next time.

Really enjoyed my stay. Very relaxed and nice layout. All expected facilities for a decent hotel.

Perfectly located for surrounding businesses. Has a brilliant network of roads around it connecting the Hotel to the M1 and local cities. Hotel itself has a free car park which can hold possibly upto 60 cars, and although it is just off the main road, it is quiet during the nights so you can get a good nights sleep.

Clean and open rooms, staff very courteous. If you hit it right you can see beautiful pheasants on the grounds roaming around.

Stayed in Twin bed room, was very nice and clean. Had some dirty towels but the staff were more than happy to switch them out ASAP. Very peaceful and calm, even with a wedding party at the bar! By the morning you couldn't even tell they were there. Top quality hotel.

I stayed at this hotel last week and had fantastic service. I accidentally left a pair of valuable headphones in the room. I have done this before in another hotel and unfortunately the hotel said that no headphones had been found. However a lovely gentleman called Russel immediately went looking for my headphones, found them and personally posted them back the next day! What fantastic service and honesty! Well done to the Holiday Inn! I am over the moon! Thank you Russell!

Great value if booked in advance online. Good location and communal facilities, room rooms themselves are available clean and comfortable, a little dated but new bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff…

The parking was plenty. With a convenient drop off point for taxes. There is also a regular bus service just out side. The food and service was good, with decent entertainment. Drink prices are not to expensive.

This was our second visit here. Rooms were very clean and smellt fresh. Only fault was bed moved about room much as they are on wheels. Good customer.

Comfortable hotel. Got room for £35. Wouldn't pay above £50 for it.

The hotel is lovely, staff very nice and the service is very good, room was very clean and a good size, bathroom has a big walk in shower, top marks for all the above.
BUT not so good when there’s party’s going on till 1am and your room is right above reception, you can here all the people standing chatting while having there smoke and all you get is this thudding noise from the music,
I think when booking you should be informed there will be party’s on and given the choice to find a different hotel, or even given a room at the back of the hotel if your not involved in the said party’s
Not good when your only getting 5 hrs sleep, and you have lots to do the next day,

Decent, affordable and cozy place to stay when visiting Northampton. This place is away from the town centre so isn't crowded like the other hotels. Dinner options are limited since towncenter is far away but the hotel more of less makes up for it with variety in menu. Free Wi-Fi available for guests. Rooms at the backside have a beautiful view of the garden.

Finally found time to add our review … If I could have given more stars I would have. Our Wedding 30/09/17, was fantastic, from start to finish. Sarah, the Wedding Planner, organised everything smoothly & kept us calm throughout, it felt like a breeze. Sarah also couldn't do enough for us, thank you. The actual day … again everything was perfect, Bob & the guys also couldn't do enough for us, everything ran smooth, food was great too. I want to do it all over again & wouldn't change a thing! Not enough bar staff and very slow service… asked for a pint of lager top but the barman put at least half a pint of lemonade in the glass? Had to say something. He obviously didnt know what a lager top was.

All essential amenities available. Rooms were clean, probably due a refurbishment, a little cold, the in-room heater didn't circulate air well. Bar area was pleasant and drinks were reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay after a tiring day. Lovely comfortable room with equally comfortable bed. Food was nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the big fluffy towels not something you get very often. Breakfast was fab. Love a big breakfast as it isn't something I have at home. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed here quite a bit on business during Q3 '17. Not bad. Plenty of parking. The room's 'Air con' units are antiquated and just make a noise, so don't stay here if it's hot or cold!

Not worth the money. Room smelt, the sheets were stained, everything was worn. Decided not to stay so we asked for a refund on the room which we were given eventually, but staff didn't offer an apology for the state of things. Very disappointing from a well known chain. We're now staying at the Marriott down the road which is cheaper and room is great.

Great value at £28.50 for the room as an IHG member. Food in the restaurant was excellent too, room was clean and modern. My only gripe with the stay was the flickering TV, which was somewhat of an annoyance.

Lovely clean room, helpful staff and gorgeous breakfast. My only issue was a leaky sprinkler which kept squirting me in the night but I reported it to reception on checkout to be fixed.

I am a wheelchair user, and tbeir disabled access room was top class. The breakfast and evening meal was also great.

Greeted by great guy on reception with personality. Remainder of staff perpetuated my first great impression and my dinner in the bar area was excellant. Congrats guys. I stop in many hotels and you are a cut above the average.

Excellent customer service from Hollie in the early hours of the morning. I had some family members staying at the hotel after a wedding and I tried to see if they had anymore rooms. Unfortunatley there were fully booked but Hollie stopped at nothing to call around partner hotels and other local hotels to try to make sure we found a solution. She even charged my phone and offered tea/coffee to myself and my wife! Further to this the hotel was clean with excellent dinning facilities. The service Hollie displayed is a testement to the business and her values as a person. We were honestly blown away. I will certainly be trying to book holiday in again and I can't recommend Hollie and this hotel enough! My family had a great stay too. Hollie deserves a promotion or payrise! She is exceptional! You will be well looked after by the staff at this hotel — that is for sure!

Enjoyed our overnight stay here with Highcliffe Coaches. Nice comfortable room, very good breakfast.

We were staying here to attend a run the next day. Given the wrong room (booked a twin with double beds, given a room with a single small double). Staff and food in the restaurant were lovely but the room was disappointing. Mould on the walls, broken telly and not enough coffee were the main issues, as well as a ridiculously loud air conditioning unit in the bathroom which made the room sound like the shower was running permanently. Disappointed, I expected better.

No air con, very hot rooms, wallpaper coming off wall, mixture of quite good staff and pretty awful staff, disgusting food, theft from a room. Put me off Holiday Inns for life.

Food has definitely improved in the past several months to June 2017 and it's well placed. Main failing recently has been the heating / air conditioning. If I wanted to steam myself like a lobster in a pot I'd go to a sauna not stay in a room with air con from 1970s that no longer works or does, but growls like a bear who's snack you've just pinched.

Warm and friendly welcome. Room very clean. Could have been warmer. No heat from "switched on" storage heater and the air con didn't produce heat on HOT, plus too noisy anyway. Call from female on reception to see if I'd settled in ok. Good opportunity to ask for the number for room service as not clear anywhere in the room. Room service quick and food was hot. Shower was amazing. Quiet enough to sleep but could hear vehicles on main road. Curtains let light in around edges in morning, so hard to get back to sleep. Breakfast was 5 mins early and was perfect. Checkout was easy. Food was maybe a little expensive but not sure how much it was in restaurant. Overall very good. Was there for a training course. At 10am when it started the hot drinks were only luke warm and nothing was refreshed all day until we asked. Conference room was cold most people had to sit woth coats on.

Welcoming friendly staff. Good location near motorway and short drive into town.

Convenient and comfortable.

There are several reasons I disliked my stay at northhampton holiday in. The food and alcohol prices are far too high but you are left with little alternatives. Beds are made everyday but sheets remain the same. Lastly the Internet is atrocious and there is no option to upgrade your Wi-Fi.

Nice clean hotel. Ideal placing for Northampton or for commuting to London. The manager Mr Randall is a really nice person, something you don't always find in hotels.

Spacious rooms at least the executive ones. Chef deserves a special mention for delicious Indian food. Clean sheet and towels. Courteous staff.

Went to a wedding here, they were extremely under staffed and had to waite 15 minuets to be served. However the staff that were there were very kinda and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Nevertheless the rooms had terrible showers, the fan in the bathroom didn't work in a lot of the rooms (what other people said that stayed there for the wedding) this making the room damp. The heating was dreadful and very noisy so could not have it on whilst we slept.

It's fine. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Easy access and big car park, nice riverside walk away into the distance.
