After spending the day at Sheringham 1940s weekend we luckily managed to get a table in this lovely pub. The owners are fairly new, they made us feel very welcome. My daughters loved their children's meal and we loved ours too. We will definitely be returning to try more food from the menu.

A gem of a find whilst on holiday. A traditional pub with modern touches. A very welcoming hostess, and a great team. We had our 4 large dogs with us and we were made very welcome, thank you! The food was fabulous and the steaks cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Wheatsheaf. The hosts Danielle and Steve were so friendly and could not do enough for us, especially our dog Dexter who did not want to leave. The breakfast is top draw and cooked as you like it. They even did a special doggy breakfast for the dog. The room was lovely with a powerful hot shower. The overall place, stay and staff cannot be faulted. Thank you for a lovely break.

Quaint village pub. Not on the main route, so you do have to go out of your way to find this little village pub. It is situated in the middle of a beautiful little village, no public transport out this way so you definitely need a car and a designated driver so you can enjoy the wine and beers on sale here. Only downside to our our visit was we found this place to be rather high priced for our liking.

My dogs were welcomed with open arms and if you are a human and are very good your allowed in as well, fantastic food friendly staff and homemade doggy treats.

What a wonderful welcome we received today. The the last time went there was October 2017 but we were recognised straight away. We had our springer spaniel who again was recognised and made a fuss of. Daniella was a perfect host so friendly and lovely and so was the staff. The food was delicious and the staff was as good as the welcome. No hesitation to go back there. See you soon. It was perfect.

I had a craving for a bacon roll and a decent coffee, despite bacon rolls not being on the menu the bar maid asked the chef to make one, that is fantastic service. It was let down a little bit when bill for the bacon roll and coffee came to over £10. You get what you pay for though and it was really nice, the chef certainly did not hold back on the bacon lol. The pub was very quiet and this is surprising given how friendly the staff were and how nice the decor of the pub is. Side note to fellow bikers: The carpark is loose gravel so be careful.

Friendly and accommodating staff and good food, beer very nice (Wherry), price about typical for the pubs in this area, all in all a good experience.

Friendliest staff ever. Everyone is made to feel very welcome and dogs are made such a fuss of. I think our dog Dillon would have stayed if he could. The food is also excellent, great size portions and all cooked fresh. Top tip, try the onion rings.

Came across this place whilst on holiday today and was passing, the lovely lady who served us was really friendly, the pub is super dog friendly with homemade dog treats and the food was exceptional, highly recommend and hopefully visit again before we head home … Thankyou!

Stayed at The Wheatsheaf last weekend and we are dying to go back already! We were welcomed with open arms and so were our dogs. The room was much bigger than we were expecting and had absolutely everything we could possibly need including a huge TV, Wi-Fi, rain shower, bottled water & much more. It has recently been refurbished and was luxurious — not the kind of dingy look you normally expect from accommodation in a pub. Lovely and quiet for the dogs and only a 10 minute drive to the beach. The food was delicious — Full English for us and the dogs even got their own bowl. The landlady was absolutely charming & really bonded with our dog (who doesn't usually get on well with strangers). Super dog friendly (they even make their own dog treats), amazing food & a gorgeous room! Couldn't recommend it anymore highly, we will definitely be back!

Food lovely staff very pleasant warm welcoming pub booking preferable gets quite busy but that's just how good it is.

We stayed for four nights with the dog. Had a lovely stay, room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was great and plentiful (the dog especially enjoyed his! ). Ate in the pub one evening and had good food, service and drinks. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area as quiet surroundings but close to lots of towns and beaches so plenty to do and see. Thanks to Daniella and Stephen for the hospitality, we hope to visit again one day.

The staff were wonderful and the food was divine, catered very well to anyone with gluten allergies and vegetarians. They made you feel right at home!

Booked for my wife's birthday and so glad I did. Very welcoming and very friendly also food was great value and was perfectly cooked. I ordered a cake as a little surprise and this as you can see was such a thoughtful surprise. Highly recommend this place!

Incredible service from the host, had a strange suprise plan for one of our group and she made it brilliant, can highly recommend and everything else was just as good as the service.
