Where to start….?!? Lots of tables not cleared from previous customers, the bar staff don’t know who’s next to be served and they certainly don’t know how to pull a pint (leaving far too much head on the beer). On top of that the staff then scare our baby and make other people jump in the beer garden by tipping a load of empty bottles in to a bin from a great height making a loud noise (is there any need for that? )! It used to be a great inn a couple of years ago, but no more. Will drink elsewhere from now on given it’s our third bad experience here within a few months! 😔

My family and I have just enjoyed a delicious 2 course Sunday lunch at The Globe Inn. The service was excellent and there was a really nice atmosphere. Accommodating to children too — my 19month old loved his pasta! Can’t wait to return.

Came with my friend last night to try the new menu, it was absolutely delicious. And the decor of the place is breath taking. Wil definitely be coming back. Oh and the cocktails were to die for 🍹… Well done to all the staff so friendly and attentive too.

Stayed the night last night and a table for our evening meal which was outstanding brilliant can not say a bad thing it was gorgeous our room was big quit and a great nights sleep thank you would stay again great staff very friendly make you feel welcome.

We went for Sunday lunch for Father’s Day. Easy booking, very friendly staff, dog friendly too. Food excellent and we were found a table in the bar after the meal to finish our wine so did not have to rush. We have sat outside several times during our stay in Wells and the app worked brilliantly until they ran out of Pinot Grigio 😢. Would highly recommend. We didn’t try the rear garden as we were lucky enough to get a free table at the front every time. Great for watching the world go by.

Had a fab meal at the Globe this evening just wish we had eaten here every night! Staff were professional yet friendly and helpful. Good choice of drinks and it’s a lovely looking restaurant. Felt totally safe with COVID procedures in place but these did not distract from the experience. Food was amazing can highly recommend. I enjoyed all three courses I chose as did my hubby. Maybe some might say it’s a little on the more costly side however I don’t mind paying for food that is good quality and tastes delicious. Just wish we had gone here last night instead of the disappointing experience at the Sands restaurant.

Staying in Wells and called in for lunch and a couple of drinks. Lovely building, great food (open steak sandwich and open prawn sandwich) good beer and wine. Highly recommended.

Nice pub, dog friendly in the bar area. Stopped in for 'Steak Night' which was a little disappointing, the cut of beef was so small and thin that asking for it medium rare was a pointless exercise. I suspect blue or well done are the only real ways something that thin could be cooked! I understand it's 'North Norfolk's and prices reflect that but the price was pretty excessive for such a small bit of meat. The rest of the meal was nice, desserts good too, but at a premium price which doesn't quite match the end product.

Great food in the restaurant, poor service in the bar. Waited 15 minutes to be served drinks and only got served by complaining to the bar staff. Everybody was complaining about the wait to be served. The visit was so much better as we had booked a table in the restaurant. Service here was excellent and the quality of the food was top notch. We had previously visited and had a poor experience in the restaurant with many dishes being unavailable. This time no such issues. The only minus point was the "vanilla ice cream with seeds" tasted just like Walls standard vanilla. Nothing wrong with it, just not really special.

Came here for a celebratory meal after graduating. It was beautiful! The food was amazing, the service exemplary, the setting is lovely. The toilets are really nice as well, although they are down a set of stairs, so those less able bodied may struggle. I did not notice if there was a disabled toilet on same level as the dining areas. There was a really cute little courtyard, which was dog friendly. I loved this place, it really made my day special.

Situated behind the shops of the quay, tucked away, this gem was full of surprises for an independent hotel. Stayed in a room of the rear courtyard. Travelling independently, my single room was cosy with a good size en suite shower with all the finesse of a chic boutique style. Staff friendly and breakfast, could have eaten 3-4 with so many of my favourites on the menu. Made it difficult to choose. Food tasted every bit delicious as it looked, presented beautifully One of the best leisurely stays, fortunate to find and a pleasure to visit.

A very popular watering hole. Staff fairly good but do have a tendency to chat among themselves while customers wait which needs addressing. I had a curry which was lovely and aromatic the wife had a steak which was nice but the chunky chips were very hard and not that nice. I noticed that a lot of other diners left a good proportion on their plate. The skinny French fries looked much more appetizing maybe next time we fine there I will ask for fries instead of chunky chips.

The open crab sandwich was beautiful, and the steaks were perfectly cooked. Highly recommended. Well kept beer as well.

Very nice Fish and chips though not cheap. Mobility problem at the moment and staff couldn't have been more helpful thank you to them.

Excellent, a wonderful place to drink, eat and stay. We stayed in one of the new rooms recently and have to say that it was wonderful. The meal was great, the breakfast also very good and the staff very professional and caring. The area of Wells is also a lovely location for a visit to the seaside. It has lots of nice little shops and cafes tucked away down small streets. Top marks to The Globe Inn, easily 5 stars.

Lovely little pub! Great atmosphere and food was excellent!

I’m so glad we popped into the globe last night with friends. The pub was full, the atmosphere was fab, the staff were welcoming, helpful and polite, we ordered from a great menu and when our food arrived none of us were disappointed! Compliments to the chef it has been a long while since I’ve had such an enjoyable meal, and in such beautiful surroundings. If you get the chance to go, make sure you check out the downstairs loos, with the funky brickwork!

The food was fine but the service was not satisfactory. The issue was eventually sorted out but the solution was led by us rather than management, which was disappointing. Also be aware that on bank holidays and half terms it gets especially busy with wait for food up to an hour.

Booked a table for six, 4 adults and 2 children. Adult meals were fine however the children had Chicken Korma advertised as creamy and mild, after eating some of the meal the Children complained of it being very spicy and subsequently left it, I tried their food and also found it very spicy and it left a hot sensation in my mouth. We complained and after investigation it appeared it was made too spicy. No alternative offered, no money knocked off the bill, no free sweets for the Children, just an apology. Attitude was very disappointing. Will not be visiting you again.

Enjoyed ourselves here with family. Would have liked more choice on lunch menu, however food we chose was very good and all staff were friendly and attentive. Perhaps a little expensive for young children.

Had a superb meal. Very friendly staff. Beautifully cooked local fresh food. Pint of Wherry and glass of cloudy apple juice too. Would recommend.

We have visited The Globe several occasions while holidaying in the local area. A friendly service and a extra is that they allow dogs in the bar area. We have stayed once as guests in thier rooms With our dog which was nicely presented. A good find.

Stand out place in Wells, stay overnight regularly as its a fab place to stay, food is fantastic and nothing ever seems too much trouble for the staff. Excellent bar, dog friendly and ticks all the boxes for our long weekends in Norfolk. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Globe Team… (especially Julie who is an absolute star).

We only had one drink in here but what we saw was amazing. Lovely staff. Very clean and they have the best rest rooms I have ever seen. You can also see into their cellar which is spotless. We will definitely stay over for a few nights without our dogs for a little treat to ourselves. Wonderful place.

My wife and myself booked a January monday and tuesday mini break with breakfast and evening meal included. We brought our small dog with us. The rooms were lovely very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. The dinner was superb with fresh produce and an excellent wine selection. All our food was very good. Above all we greatly appreciated the friendly staff for which nothing was too much trouble. We left our stay refreshed and reenergised and we will certainly be back-it was so nice to have a dog friendly hotel as well.

Fantastic atmosphere and a particularly lovely New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc after a bracing sunny January walk on Wells beach with the dogs.

Brilliant food and great service. Dogs are welcome in the bar but not in the restaurant. We didn't stay in the accommodation but if the standards are the same we will try it on our next stay in Wells. It is situated near the centre and there is limited parking.

Only had drinks in here, not sampled the food but the place had a great atmosphere early New Years Eve and was really busy. It’s always difficult to park on the Square but luckily we found a place quite close. Would like to visit another time to try out the food as there were others eating and they looked pretty pleased.

Over priced for what you get. Food is style over substance, small portions, under seasoned and elements of the plate were cold. However, nice selection of beer and wine and if visiting just for a drink then recommended for that.

Staff are all very nice, l have been coming to Wells for many years and eat in many establishments, unfortunately the globe this time round provided a very poor quality of food. Maybe it was the end of season so change of menu, also there were a few flys buzzing around the bar area (2nights on the trott) where we ate which were very distracting to the usual high standards we are used to here. Such a shame when those work here are so pleasant and friendly.

Good beers, good food, outdoor seating, child friendly, dog friendly, people friendly. Just a really lovely place to spend a couple of hours relaxing.

A great place to stay. Staff are helpful welcoming and friendly. Room a little small but they accepted dogs for a small additonal charge in fact they positively welcomed them with dog bed, food bowls and welcome treats. We took dinner in the restaurant and all was of a high standard, however, Sunday night menu is very restrictive and, it appears, dependent on what's available. Lamb and pork had run out and only one panacotta left. Fortunately I nabbed it and it was superlative. As was the roast beef before it although I would have preferred the rib eye steak available all the other nights of the week. Sunday night diners should not be treated as second class guests as far as the restaurant is concerned. Breakefast was superb and triggered a visit to the local butcher to buy some of the local sausages. Location is excellent scenic and tranquil. And oh, my wife wishes to point out that the sticky toffee pudding was the best she has ever had.

We travel an hour and a half to have lunch or dinner here. Every time we receive excellent food and outstanding service. Beautiful pub and easy parking, coupled with being both a family and dog friendly environment, it's makes for a wonderful experience after a leisurely walk on the beach.

Had a three course sunday lunch there and the food was first class. The service was excellent. Staff were very happy and polite. A pleasure to eat there.

Excellent Sunday roast meal (beef) enjoyed by me and the wife, and a decent children's menu meant our 7 yr old daughter was happy too. Puddings were a delight! Lovely to sit outside overlooking the Buttlands on a fine evening but indoors was very welcoming too — very relaxed. Service was pleasant and prompt, and it was just a great visit all round. The whole family was happy and satisfied and so glad we came here as it was on our list of places to eat. No doubt we will be returning! Thank you.

Very clean friendly location with outside pizza oven plus the option of other great food options. Lovely selection of beers. Visit was during the carnival so busier than normal I imagine but all the same very pleasurable.

We had a lovely meal for lunch with the family yesterday, with 2 little ones the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Food and drink was delicious, fabulous place and would definitely recommend.

We went to Wells for a day out crabbing on the Friday of Half Term. We expected everywhere to be full, 2 adults and 3 kids is always difficult to find somewhere to eat but thankfully we managed to find this little gem. I'm a bit of a foodie and hate paying for reheated rubbish, however the food here is excellent. The beer is good and the staff couldnt have been more polite or helpful. The only thing I would say is please get some proper cider on tap. If you could source some from the place on the car park that would just top it off. Definitely worth the 5 minute walk from the front. Thanks again to the staff!

We enjoyed a delicious meal last night, and one of the fascinating talks — ours by Dr Temple on her cheese-making. This Inn is a place for a friendly welcome, excellent food and memorable red wine. Thank you.

Great experience, lovely staff and management. It was a surprise stay for my then girlfriend and I with the weekend culminating in a marriage proposal (a 'Yes' so all worth it) so it needed to be a special place to stay. I was in contact with Jenna; General Manager, a week or so prior to arriving to arrange a few items for the surprise which she was more than helpful with. Check-in was easy and although our room wasn't ready, they looked after our bags and gave us a chance to look around Wells. The Globe is perfectly positioned for this. The weekend we were there was Wells Carnival which was literally right on the doorstep so was very easy to pop to the bar then back out to continue the Carnival and its entertainment. So, the accommodation. We stayed in the Imperial Pheasant and we can't praise it enough. Extremely clean, tidy, great attention to detail with little items of customisation here and there, not to mention a nice view over the green (The Buttlands) where the Carnival was at. Food. Fantastic food! The menu is small but for good reason. Locally caught seafood is a must. Wine choice was extremely good too — we can definitely recommend the English sparkling Brut! Breaky choice was good too with smoked salmon, poached eggs, the usual. All beautifully presented in the restaurant. Thanks to Jenna and her team for topping-off what was a life changing weekend for us. Needless to say — we'll be back. Chris and Yvona :-).

Just booked to go again! Lovely firendly staff. Great pub food reasonably priced. We had a fantastic family meal there before Christmas (17 adults and children) all catered for superbly. Can't wait until tomorrow.

We ventured upon this restaurant on a wonderfully warm weekend in Norfolk. The restaurant is full of charm and hospitable people, unfortunately, the food was not. The squab starter was tough and favorless. Their special of a 1/2 lobster was overcooked and rubbery. It's a good thing the lobster came with potatoes and salad or the meal would have been a real bust. The potatoes however were extremely good, some of the tastiest potatoes I've ever had. The service was adequate and the staff nice but they didn't seem prepare for the crowd that was in there. I think it might be worth a second try depending on how crowded it is.
