Had the pleasure of being here this weekend to celebrate our friends marriage. A beautiful place rooms where amazing and staff and food definitely will be visiting again.

A very comfortable hotel and good parking. Lovely bedroom, excellent food and staff very helpful really enjoyed our stay.

Definitely a place to stay and eat at. My meal was fabulous, the whole place is clean and modern. I like the thought that has gone into the folder in your room, telling you all about the facilities and where to explore. Will be exploring in the morning. Plus the TV is big in your room which is hard to find staying at places. 😀

Thank you for 3 perfect nights! We choose the DBB option. We loved our beautiful room. The food was delicious, imaginative and beautifully presented. Always something different on the specials menu too; we were spoilt for choice. Brilliant choice at breakfast too. Great location and lovely staff. We hope to visit again.

Stayed last night on a DBB rate with friends, we were party of six. Had a fantastic time, the rooms beautiful, clean and comfortable. We dined in the main restaurant, the food was exceptional plenty of choices and well presented. Breakfast this morning didn’t disappoint, plenty of choice. Phil & his staff were so helpful nothing was too much trouble. Will recommend this hotel to all and will definitely be returning. Thank you.

We had a lovely two nights. We are regular visitors to Briarfields the staff are always so accommodating, friendly and cheerful. The food was beautiful and the whole hotel looks so amazing with the Christmas decorations. Looking forward to our next visit. Xx.

Having a 2 day break in North Norfolk. Everything at the hotel is wonderful. Afternoon Tea was delicious and a wide variety for Dinner and Breakfast. Well presented. Lovely room with a shower to die for. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would strongly recommend it.

Amazing food and staff. Always go the extra mile to make your stay special and accommodate for everyone's needs. A great place for children. The staff always remember us especially Mickey.

We have stayed at Briarfields a couple of times and visited many times. It is such a lovely atmosphere, the staff are courteous and friendly, the food is lovely, the rooms are comfortable and the whole place is clean and well presented. Not to mention cosy fires in colder weather and cool spaces at warmer times. Definitely worth a visit.

Highly recommended, second time here and yet again it didn’t disappoint, food is delicious, rooms lovely, even with covid measures in place we have had a lively time :)

I can't believe this is the sister hotel to The Lodge was made to feel very unwelcome by some but not all staff. Food was lovely but definately won't return will stick with the more friendly, welcoming polite staff at The Lodge.

The food is absolutely beautiful and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. A relaxed and peaceful place to be.

We just had a lovely overnight stay.
The open fire and newspapers were a nice touch
The room was perfect, clean, great shower and a huge bed.
The food was excellent both at dinner and at breakfast.
When we got home and looked at our bill we realised we had been charged twice for our bar drinks and wine with dinner.
We rang them and it was soon sorted.
Would definitely recommend.

Went for a cream tea with my brother who I rarely see. We had a lovely time. The food was lovely and well worth the money and the chairs and sofa were good for relaxing. Would highly recommend.

My mother has had a BIG birthday this week, and with a relative visiting we decided to have coffee on the terrace.
It was a glorious afternoon with brilliant blue sky and bright sunshine.
Great views.
It was an ideal location.
Dog friendly. … I also visited a few weeks ago with a friend where we sat inside on the comfy chairs and had a selection of Tapas. Very tasty and decent value.
We like Briarfields and will continue to return.

Just had 2 fabulous nights here with my dog, who was made to feel almost more welcome than me! Food was great, service friendly and very efficient, loved being able to eat in the Snug, the room was lovely and wonderful to have onsite facilities for walking my dog. The location is brilliant and despite being on the main road, traffic noise was unintrusive. Will be recommending!

Nice meal. Good selection of food for vegetarians — much better than the hotel across the road.

When I went the service was very slow and the restaurant was empty. I found the chairs uncomfortable for someone who is disabled and the food was both bland and pretentious. I found the Manager Gavin's responses both insulting and wholly inaccurate and I note I am not the only one who feels this way (just the only one brave enough to say it). In fact, I am considering writing to the respective authorities with my evidence and my findings. It is really important, when you receive a bad review to ensure you deal with what was wrong and that you refrain from insulting people or making gross assumptions about them. Our meal here and the responses since ruined the feel good factor we had that day.

High quality throughout. I have not stayed in the hotel but family members have. The food is top notch gastro. Not cheap.

Stopped in while travelling along the north Norfolk coast. We had the posh afternoon tea which was delicious. 5 stars to the pastry chef the Bakewell tart was sublime.

Would like to highly recommend this hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed was very spacious and decorated to a very high standard. Both our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely short winter break here in November with the dog. Cosy and warm to return to — after cold, beautiful dog walks — with flickering candles and open fires. Beds very comfortable and room very clean. Enjoyed our meals and the staff were accommodating and friendly. I hadn’t taken my dog to a hotel before, only self-catering, but this is the only place I haven’t found a list of don’ts for the dog. Plus saw a barn owl in the grounds both nights! None of us wanted to go home really and would definitely like to go back.

Staff are very helpful. The place is very clean and tidy.

Brilliant location, staff very helpful and friendly. Room was great, had everything I needed. Shower was nice and powerful! Comfy beds and pillows. Had breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was very nice too! I would definitely stay there again and I would recommend this hotel to people staying in this area.

We would like to thank all staff that Briarfields, we stayed here last night, the staff were friendly and very accommodating especially with our two dogs, the room was lovely and comfy as was the bathroom, spacious too.
Food was amazing last night and breakfast was it a really good standard. Thank you for making us all welcome. Like a lot of people we have passed the hotel many a time, half we stayed here. We will be back.

After 45 minute wait to place order, Sunday roast arrived quickly, portion size was disappointing, although food was very good. Further disappointed when after desert was ordered, order was forgotten. After 1/2 hour wait, refunded for this, actual food had really good flavours, but was served with curdled custard, probably rushed as a result of wait. Could have been great, but left disappointed. Of course they could have been just too busy?

The location is brilliant for visiting the norfolk coast. The rooms are kept to a high standard and are fitted with a range of luxuries. The service is amazing with the staff happy to caiter to your needs.

Stayed for 2 nights at Briarfields, and highly recommend it. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable indeed. This place is the perfect base for a North Norfolk visit. My ONLY niggle was that the kitchen closed 'relatively' early (9pm), and there's not much in close proximity so if you're arriving in the evening (as I did) you may struggle to eat dinner, but they serve food more or less all throughout the day and the vast majority of guests tend to eat early dinners so you can appreciate a later dinner service would be largely redundant. It was a great stay in a calm, friendly and picturesque hotel with oodles of charm and character.

Large, bright room with modern bathroom and very comfortable bed. Good reception staff and good bar. Breakfast was OK, not bad just not great and the service was a bit lacking. Not greeted on entry and not spoken to until I got up to flag down a waiter.

Well furnished rooms & great good. Polite and helpful staff, had minor problem with Wi fi which was rectified rapidly. Sky and BT sports in bar. Would recommend for leisure or business stay. Well Run hotel.

In April 2012 my wife and I spent two nights in the hotel, we actually prolonged our visit from one overnight stay because of excellent food, nice service and good accomodation for a reasonable price. Highlights was fish from lokal fishing and great oysters, the choice of wines was good and we liked the spacy restaurant with its view toward the dunes.

Two of us booked at this establishment over the phone for a Saturday meal. We were led to believe the restaurant was very busy and there was difficulty in fitting us in. Not so. The place was half empty on arrival and departure. All of the staff were either surly or rude at some point, and indulged in an offhand manner which gave the impression that we were interfering with their leisure time. We ordered our food and sat at the table. Two minutes after sitting down, and five minutes after placing the order our food arrived. Unless it is possible to cook food instantly using the Star Ship Enterprises oven this is indicative of pre-cooked and re-heated food. This is not what we were led to believe from the menu or indeed, the general air of the place. The food was nothing special at all. Regrettable would sum up the choices. When we came to paying the bill we were left waiting for no less than ten minutes at the reception whilst they bumbled, doodled and diddled with other people. Shocking service, over-priced food and as for the nonsense about Sea Views applying to the restaurant that should either be reported to Trading Standards, or guests should be provided with hubble telescopic glasses on entry. Sheer nonsense.
