Had afternoon tea here as it was a birthday gift. What a lovely place & surroundings. The afternoon tea was amazing. We had so much we had to take some home. Well worth a visit.

A lovely peaceful, comfortable, hotel. First class service, good food, well presented. We had a very comfortable stay.

Great service, excellent location, comfy bed and decent shower. Would definitely stay again. We didn't eat in the restaurant as our dog wasn't allowed in there, but they served us breakfast in the library so that we could have her with us. Would have given 5 stars if restaurant policy was changed and if our room had lino flooring rather than carpet, it was very muddy outside and difficult not to make a mess. Perfect location just a few minutes drive from town with pubs, shops and beaches we had a really great trip. Service was the best we've ever had.

Lovely hotel and location. Expensive but certainly worth it. Had a wonderful family time here. Meals were lovely and the open fires just made it.

We have had the most wonderful weekend in this lovely grand hotel surrounded by beautiful parkland. The hotel is elegant without being intimidating; the staff are friendly and accommodating without being "gushing". The food has been a delight, the menu has clearly been devised by a caring professional and the execution and quality has been exceptional. As a coeliac my very specific dietary needs have been met with the minimum amount of fuss from the sublime breakfast to the devine evening meal. We occupied an extremely comfortable dog friendly room on the ground floor with a small patio area to facilitate access to the beautiful grounds with the entrance to Sheringham park just 100yards away. Our dog was made every bit as welcome as we were, her access to the dining room was the only prohibited area which was totally understandable and was fully mitigated by her accompanying us to meals in the bar, lounge, or library. There was even a dog bowl and towel (for muddy paws) in the room. We would be happy to revisit The Dales, and plan to do so next time we visit our friends in Norwich. We found no fault whatsoever and would gladly recommend the hotel to lovers of fine dining in a truely lovely setting with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Paula, Tony, and Rosie.

Wonderful restaurant and hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Log fires in winter. Afternoon tea on the terrace in summer. Friendly helpful staff. Interesting historic building. Plenty of parking. Great place to stay to enjoy the north norfolk coast and countryside.

The Dales is superb in every way. Good pricing, excellent service and the food cannot be faulted. I visit regularly and am even addressed by name which is an attention to detail sadly missing in a lot of places these days. As a bonus and a premium in these parts is plenty of on site parking. Well worth a visit or a stay.

Very nice food. Great service. Limited lunch menu considering two items were sold out, but second choices were great anyway. Would go again if in the area.

Restaurant review. Popped in to book. One lady said was fully booked, but the other lady offered to squeeze us in. Even took time to show me the restaurant and tables available. Came back later for our meal, and it was gorgeous. Meal for £23pp. Beautifully cooked and presented. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and thoughtful service. Would highly recommend.

Yes it is dated but that's part of its charm Service can be a bit slow but again sometimes we all need to slow down The grounds are beautiful and you can play giant chess and giant jenko or just stroll around the beautiful gardens It's a place to relax and unwind We have enough instant this, quick that and expectations of immediate service.

Lovely gardens and good quality food, if a bit expensive. Dig friendly rooms available. Backs right on to Sherringham Park so perfect location for exploring that National Trust location. Superior Room was clean and spacious. Had a little patio area that I could block off so could let the dogs out safely first thing. Patio doors and windows looked out on garden so perfect. Only one accessible car parking space but it was still 20 feet from the room, though staff offered immediately to assist me which was appreciated if not needed. All staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. The food was excellent and the hospitality very good indeed. Open to non residents it's a good place to go for a posh meal out!

Very friendly staff, also has a charger for EV's and for a small fee. £5 anyone can use. Quick access to National Trust park too. Now a regular stop for us.

Lovely hotel in nice setting. Drinks and food reasonably priced. We stayed in standard double, nice and clean and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay there again.

Very welcoming, lovely staff, a beautiful manor set in stunning park land would definitely recommend. All our meals were excellent, room very comfortable and clean.

Found it by accident while walking back to Sheringham Park visitors centre along a path we've never walked before… Opened the gate that invites you in, down a grassy slope, very pleasantly surprised with service, food & drink… Midweek we enjoyed 2 mains for £15… Will definitely visit again soon.

Lovely, nice location, building and style. Don't think the staff could have been more attentive but not "in your face". They just did a great job.

Tucked away on route to Cromer on the outskirts of sherringham the hotel is well sign posted / easy to locate. Fantastic, well — kept building with very attentive staff. Arrived late in the evening for an overnight stay and regrettably didn't sample evening meal or breakfast. Other guests I spoke to in the hotel praising everything. Would love to visit again in a less-rushed capacity.

We checked in to the Dales Country house hotel on Sunday 26th June. We only stayed overnight but would have happily stayed longer. We had a double room, very spacious for us and our toddler. The room had its own ensuite bathroom which again was nice and spacious. We had a beautiful view of the garden. The hotel was kept very clean and tidy with plenty of staff around to offer assistance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden was very big and well maintained, beautiful to walk around. We didn't stop for breakfast in the morning but we did see there was a lot of choice. I would recommend the Dales Country house hotel to anyone who is staying in the area.

We went for cream tea which were very tasty and freshly baked. Relaxed atmosphere with very nice grounds.

This was the first time we had stayed in a hotel with our dog. We have already been recommending our stay to friends and family, the hotel offers a welcoming and relaxing break, conveniently located just outside Sheringham providing access to some of great destinations. We stopped off at Blakeney and had a long walk along the amazing beach at Holkham. The staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. We cannot comment on the quality of the evening meals as we ate out on the night we stayed. Although, we both opted for the full English breakfast in the morning which was very good indeed. We would happily stay here again.

This was my first time at The Dales for a meal, I booked after a recommendation from a friend. My wife and I were not disappointed. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The three course meal was well presented and good quality. An excellent experience and a reasonable price. Well done to the staff at The Dales, will be going again.

Came for lunch today, as always excellent. Thanks to Rachel and team. We often bring visiting friends and relatives for Sunday Lunch which is the best value we have found in North Norfolk.

Wow warm and friendly and fantastic service and food. The room with a view I would say out on the balcany over looking their gardens. Love to come back again this was our first time in this area.
