We booked at the last minute and were hoping to get away for a couple of nights after a particularly upsetting week. Upon arrival we quickly realised our room had a pest problem which meant we couldn't stay. We informed the hosts immediately and they apologised and promised a refund. We had to then find alternative accommodation at 7pm at night but were at least relieved that the hosts had been apologetic and so we didn't make a fuss. Over a week later however we are still chasing this refund having had our emails ignored. The hosts told us they had already processed the refund when we left but clearly this was a lie. It's put a real dampener on what was meant to be a few days to relax. The pest problem was bad enough. To have to deal with dishonesty as well is really upsetting.
Nice people very clean room within easy reach of sea front and amenities will definitely be going back.

Booked this hotel through Booking. Com after seeing the great reviews. What a shame I wasnt more thorough in my research to see that this hotel has just been taken over by someone else who is providing the complete opposite of the previous wonderful hosts. We requested an early check in (only 1pm) and were told rudely that this wasnt going to happen — not a problem, just at least pretend to have some customer service skills). So we waited the 3 hours until the check in time of 4pm which seems extremely late anyway. After killing time we headed to the door and knocked. No answer. Knocked again. No answer. Freezing cold and 20 baffled minutes later we were still out there. Light on inside but no one answering. Tried ringing the hotel and contact number 15 times! Calls ignored and declined EVERY time! We ended up having to quickly ring round other hotels to see if we could be fitted in anywhere. Thankfully we found a much nicer hotel not far away who immediately accepted us and we had a lovely time. No apology or email or explanation for not being able to fulfil our booking. Absolutely furious! Still chasing him for a refund and all contact ignored. Absolutely SHOCKING — owner should be ashamed of himself.
