A large party of us went for a30th meal so well organised friendly staff couldn’t have been better and delicious food too Thank you all.

Had a super lunch here today. The service was friendly and attentive and food really good, all fresh, well cooked and very tasty. We sat in the sunny garden next to the fragrant herb border which was just lovely.
The Covid-19 procedures were very clear but there was still a great atmosphere and it was very relaxing.

A tasty gluten free Sunday lunch… with a homemade Yorkshire pudding! The pannacotta for dessert was delicious too. A little more expensive than usual but well worth the money. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and could advise me about gluten free options. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Popped in for a light lunch two days ago. Lovely friendly staff, and food great… just what I needed after a 4.5 mile walk … so will be dropping in again very soon.

The slow roasted belly of pork is delicious, as was the Baileys cheesecake. Great service and atmosphere.

5 stars Visited today for the most delicious Sunday Roast! Roast beef was perfectly cooked and so tender! Lovely fresh local produce and such great quality. My husband had the fillet steak which was exceptional quality! Desserts were stunning, the bakewell was highly recommended and didn’t disappoint! Excellent selection of beers, wines and soft drinks and great facilities for babies.

Lovely meal, lovely staff and food. But the only critsism that, I have to state is, the price for some extra peas and french beans, £3.50! That was abit extortionate for all that we got. Did mention it to waitress, and got told that was the price you pay for extras if you want them! So said nothing else, paid and left. Nothing bad to say.

Stopped off on a Sunday and the excellent, friendly staff fitted us in for a delicious Beef Sunday Roast and mouthwatering homemade dessert. First Class service and lovely pub/restaurant.

Outstanding in every way. The staff, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere were all exceptional. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a good quality meal with a pleasurable dining experience then this is where you should go.

Only stayed one night but a very friendly welcome when we arrived early evening even though restaurant and staff were busy, the rooms are very well kept and clean, we only had a small room for one night but was more than adequate for us. We didn't eat but sat in the bar having a drink and the food we saw coming out the kitchen looked lovely and good size portions. Would definitely stay here again.

We stopped for one night and it suited us well. Rooms in the main pub are quite compact but the main issue is with traffic noise. However the food was excellent with good choose and great beer. The location is quite remote and isolated but it was perfect for us visiting the wonderful region.

Great lunchtime and we had a great breakfast as we had stayed the previous night. The room we stayed in was great and the shower in the wet room was to 'die' for.

A mixed review: Good: location, beds, a large bathroom with a good separate shower; service; cooked breakfasts. The bad: a smell of sewage in the car park; the motel atmosphere of the 'cabins'; the paucity and uninspiring presentation of the fruit/cereals etc for breakfast. Rather expensive for what it is.

I wrote a letter of complaint about the food, I put my Name, Address, phone number, email addy, and I got a reply asking me for my phone number, that is how much the Marsham Arms treat your complaint. They don't even read it properly.

We visited on a Thursday lunchtime at the end of October expecting the place to be empty, however there was actual a good number of people in the restaurant – a good sign. Drinks were on the expensive side at £7.60 for a pint of Adams Topaz Gold and a glass of Shiraz (175 ml). As it was lunch we decided to forgo starters and go directly to mains. I ordered the slow roast belly of pork whilst my wife ordered the haunch of venison. The pork was splendid with crispy crackling served on a bed of creamy mash potato with slightly tart apple sauce; recommended. The venison was another matter; it arrived as a medium rare steak which was very tough even putting up a good fight against the serrated knife blade provided! For dessert we had the bitter chocolate and roasted hazelnut torte and the Pavlov with winter berry compote, both were very good especially the torte. Service was generally good although the waitress did off free tap water as we sat down and then forgot to bring it until reminded. At £50 for two courses and a single round of drinks this was not a cheap pub lunch, therefore the tough venison was a disappointment, however probably would go again.

Since its transformation last year this has to be among the best Inns/restaurants in Norfolk. The rooms are new or refurbished and vary is size to suit all accommodation needs. The food is excellent with specials taking advantage of the best of local produce. Food is cooked to order — this is a 'gastro pub plus' topped off by a young staff with a passion for good but discreet service who clearly want to make this venue a success. Pricing is about right in most areas — the best deals are the lunchtime specials and the fish night on Wednesdays — love them.

We stayed at This Inn on August Bank Holiday and the refurbished accommodation was as good as you'll find anywhere! The "Steak Bradley" was possibly the best I've eaten and at 62 years old I've eaten (and cooked) a few. The previous reviews are out of date and I'd strongly recommend a stay here.

I can't comment on the accommodation. I can only warn people about the food. First, the good news: the service was excellent, friendly, and proficient on a busy Saturday night. There were six in our group. All the starters were adequate. Sadly, the main courses were a huge disappointment. I ordered the special of steak and ribs. I wanted my steak medium rare, it arrived cremated. The ribs were also overcooked. At nearly £20 a course, this is unacceptable. My partner had the duck. It was also overcooked. Clearly, the kitchen is struggling to keep up. The meal for six people came to nearly £170 — without wine. It was very poor value for money. There are many better alternatives in the area. Sorry. I really wanted to like the Marsham Arms but came away short changed and disappointed. Only the great service scores a second star.
