We have stayed at Greenbanks during the summer for the past 3 years and we love it. Incredibly friendly team. Dog and child friendly. Great swimming pool. Lovely grounds. Great location for exploring the vast north Norfolk coastline. Our oldest wants to know when we're going back!

Great staff, beautiful food and a lovely place to stay at.

Stayed here last night for our engagement/other half's birthday. We recieved a card in our room and after dinner a special cake was given to us too. Absolutely loved our stay. We did the shed and breakfast and the "hut" was clean, well stocked with tea etc, and the surroundings and lake are gorgeous. Staff are all so friendly too, Would 100% recommend. Thank you!

Superb Stay! Our room was huge, warm, perfect for a family, spotlessly clean and peaceful.
We stayed for a pre Christmas treat and to go to the Polar Express in Dereham. We also had a family swim and were lucky enough to be there for the Christmas tapas menu — it was soooo good!
Thank you so much for a wonderful start to our Christmas. We will be back!

An amazing hotel to stay at! The staff are so welcoming and hospitable. Room was so clean and inviting, our dog loved both the room and the walk around the lake. Couldn’t rate it any higher… oh and the food is brilliant and full of flavour.

Amazing place to stay. Have just had the most fabulous working holiday, staying in the barn with a disabled guest. Hoists, beds and wet room, clean and presented beautifully, as per their descriptions. Pool onsite with sauna and jacuzzi, was really great and had amenities, such as hoists, beds and slings, to allow disabled people to enjoy the pool too. Best part was the owners, who were fantastic, helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend staying here for a holiday xxx.

What a wonderful place. Peaceful, great rooms, wonderful staff and management.

We're having such at fantastic stay at the Shed and Breakfast, that we won't want to leave tomorrow. This place is idealic, 100% pure countryside with lakes. The facilities and restaurant are wonderful. Alex and Julie have done an excellent job with this place over the last 30 years. I'm looking forward to booking again.

Stayed one night and no doubt I shall return. The staff are superb, the rooms are lovely, “we’ve left water in the room as it’s been hot today”. Bed was very comfortable.
The pool is a very welcome feature along with the sauna. The garden/grounds are lovely and ideal for a post dinner wander.
The food, oh the food — delicious.

Lovely hotel, dog friendly we stayed in room 9, it was fabulous. Alex and his wife and their staff are very helpful, Alex is a great Chef, enjoyed his food. We will be back again.

This place is fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff are lovely, my room is fantastic and the food was first class!

Well. Never did stay here. But on our way home my car was making some funny banging noises so was trying to pull over but all the P's were blocked off so had to pull in to greenbacks hotel to see what was wrong. The lady from the hotel came out to see if she could help. After finding the problem she went inside to get her tools. Which was very useful. And when we went she other us to come bk if the problem carries on. She would make us a coffee. Thank you so much for your help.

Room was excellent and staff very friendly.

My husband won a night stay & breakfast so he booked it for my birthday. We were able to take our dog along with us too, she absolutely loved it and so did we. The accommodation was immaculate and the views were stunning. We also dined in their restaurant in the evening, the food & service were both brilliant. Family came to join us to celebrate the 3 recent birthdays, we all received a birthday card and they even made us a surprise birthday cake for the end. I would highly recommend Greenbanks to everyone!

Won a free nights stay with breakfast, every part of the stay was brilliant. We had family meet us for a birthday meal, the food, the service all brilliant and a surprise cake for us aswell. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a night away or just some lovely food. We will definitely be back.

Celebrated three birthdays the same weekend was absolutely brilliant, the meal was great and they made a birthday cake, had a lot of laughs hope we werent too loud, while we were there snow was falling heavily couldn't have been more helpful, would highly recommend, big thanks to all staff.

Such a lovely cosy swimming pool, with sauna and hot tub. I am a regular visitor, staff cannot be more helpful.

Stayed at the accessible barn. Really lovely welcome and thought-out facilities. Easy to get to and the swimming pool is great.

Currently staying in the barn at greenbanks hotel. I'm a full time wheelchair user with 2 toddlers. Everyone has been fantastic. The rooms are amazing and the swimming pool is too die for! So reasonably priced too. Very impressed so far.

Lovey place, brilliant staff, wonderful food.

Such a magical place. In a beautiful setting. The staff are all so kind and the chef even cooked s meal for us even though the restaurant was closed.
It's really doggy friendly. Towel provided for the dog and home baked biscuits (my dog loved them! )
There is a small lake in the grounds and really pretty gardens.
The rooms are really pleasantly decorated and there's a swimming pool too.
Highly recommend it.

Great food, mostly gluten free as well. Great staff, very friendly even made birthday cake for our boys and gave them cards without us asking or paying! Highly recommended. Been twice and going back soon.

A family meal out for a birthday treat, in our party of 4, 3 of us are gluten free. The menu had great choices for all of us even our fussy teenage twins (who have asked to go back in July for their birthday meal)! That is what I call a fabulous review in itself. Staff were faultless and very clued up to our requirements. The bar area was spotlessly clean and there really wasn't anything to complain about.

Have just returned home after spending 11 months at Greenbanks due to the flooding of my property. I have nothing but praise & thanks for the way I have been looked after nothing was too much trouble, Alex & Julie looked after me as if I was their own Mum & all the staff became like a family to me so caring & thoughtful. Food was GREAT & I certainly miss it! Lovely walks around the lake & many seats to sit in the sun & facilities for a barbeque. My sincere thanks to them all.

Really friendly atmosphere and a relaxed but attentive service. The food is very good, maybe let down a little on the presentation front… balance of taste, flavour combinations and technical standard of the cooking is very high. The dining room has a nice clean, homely feel to it with colourful furnishings. The menu had a very good selection of dishes on it, there really was something suitable for everyone. If only more restaurants would take this approach, it would make eating out a much more pleasing experience for me (meat eater) and my partner (vegetarian/vegan). We will be visiting again — this restaurant is a welcome breathe of fresh air in an area that is otherwise full of quite dull, uninspiring eateries.

We have just stayed at Greenbanks Countryside Hotel for the weekend and had fantastic time. We choose this hotel as my partner is a coeliac. All bar 2 things on their evening menu, in the restaurant 'Chocolate'! was Coeliac, tasted superb and was beautifully presented. The service was very freindly and after a nice coffee and chocolates we retreated to our room/suite which turned out to be more of a converted barn than a room. In the morning we had booked a slot in the indoor heated pool and relaxed in the sauna and spa pool, then had a hearty fully cooked ENGLISH breakfast. My partner was amazed at what was available for her to choose from, gluten free musli, GF toast, GF sausages and the homemade coeliac breaded scones Jenny, the proprietor bakes every week. We left on Sunday afternoon… we stayed long enough to have their Sunday lunch aswell. This is the first time my partner has sat in a restaurant and relaxed, laughed and enjoyed herself which means I had a great time too! I can highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing break with their partner.
