Ate at the village hotel for food this evening along with 3 other adults and 5 children on a trip back from Liverpool to North Wales. Can I just say how wonderful the restaurant staff are. I'm so annoyed I didn't get the man's name but I think he was manager, he was amazing. Couldn't do enough for us! so attentative, friendly, and just a great atmosphere. The kids absolutely loved the cinema style chairs to watch the football and they are now begging us to book a room and use the pool. We will deffo be back thankyou so much!

Only negative thing was having to pay £5 parking fee!

I want to thank all the staff at the village. We had a slight delay with our room on check in but everything was explained and we were offered a drink whilst we waited. We then entered our room to find a lovely bottle on ice with compliments for our anniversary. We went to the bar and ate whilst watching the match and staff were brilliant, food amazing and the atmosphere was fab! breakfast was lovely and topped off with a swim before checkout. Every staff member was happy and polite and made us feel very welcome. We have had a lovely night away and at a bargain too. Thankyou everyone!

Lovely rooms, great value for money too. We’re on the summer almost all inclusive and the food has been very good. Most of the staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful, don’t know where some of them get their energy from.
The swimming pool is huge for a hotel one with 2 jacuzzis which we’re also very good. We’ll def be back for another visit.

but low service had to wait for over 40 mins for a drink even though we placed a food order, pool great which you have to book a slot and so with sauna and steam room and gym. Gym very good and large, beds comfy.

Felt very uneasy, a lot of other people thought the same. Wouldn’t of booked hotel if I knew what it would be like.
Felt really sorry for staff saying sorry all the time.
But bar should be kept to people staying and not anyone else.

Was at a wedding and there reception got cancelled and they closed all the back end of the bar off and let us all come into there hotel and let us all order food the staff went above and beyond to make sure their wedding day special thank you so much xxx.

Poor service. Food very undercooked — the burgers was streaming with blood. Disorganised. Staff don’t seem bothered.
2 hours sat waiting for uncooked food.
40 mins to make a pina colad and was told they had forgot. Didn’t give full package we booked unless you asked. Will not be staying again very disappointed.

I stayed at your hotel recently and I am utterly disappointed and disgusted with my stay. Upon arrival they took payment twice for one room. Lucky there was a lovely reception staff on who sorted this problem for me and refunded me one of my payments. I was supposed to be staying in room 120 but the key did not work twice to let me in so staff had to let me in. Once in the room there was no TV remote. No bathroom light or towels. I went back to reception for the third time and the lovely reception staff kindly upgraded me to room 600. At 1:30 am I tried to contact reception via the stupid app that does not work regarding noise. I got no response. I had to be up for work at 5:30 this morning and have had no sleep. On check out and still now they have tired to take another £89 out my account! I am unsure why as I have already paid for my stay and had a horrendous stay. I was going to stay this weekend but I am looking else where now due to this. I am highly disappointed. I have tired to contact the hotel personally but again getting no answer!

Stayed here a few times, been to lots of party's here. All staff are lovely. The staff in the spa are really nice especially Carla who always does an amazing job on my eyebrows. Would definitely recommend x.

Another lovely evening with family at the village hotel Wirral. Sian went above and beyond yet again. Nothing was too much trouble. Both my children have allergies but yet again nothing was too much trouble and the kids had a lovely meal. Thank you to Sian and the restaurant team.

Reception staff excellent. Charlotte in restaurant went out of her way to find us a table. Young blond waitress was so friendly and attentive she couldn't do anything more. Only booked for 1 night but will be back again.

Had a fabulous stay here yesterday. The room was lovely with the comfiest bed ever, staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was gorgeous! I would definitely recommend!

Just enjoyed our lovely Afternoon Tea that we won from Village Hotel Club It was soooooo nice and the staff were great. Particularly the waitress who looked after us too (sorry we didnt catch her name! ) Would recommend definately. We were gutted we couldnt stay longer due to a tired 5 year old! Thanks again. We really enjoyed xxxx.

We arrived for a spa day for my friends Hen Do. From start to finish everyone made us welcome and made the experience so relaxing. The spa treatments were affordable and definitely worth while. The afternoon tea was very light and filling. Overall feeling very relaxed. Would recommend.

We all enjoyed a girls spa night. Room, food, service, pool and spa staff were excellent.

The issues we encountered at this hotel covering cleanliness, quality, general surroundings and of leisure facilities coupled with a lack of basic customer services are too numerous for this arena and will be dealt with via the hotel directly. Needless to say, if this is typical of Village hotels then we will not stay in one again.

Our overall experience from the Booking online to checking out was easy and staff polite. Only 3 stars due to the fact that hotel online offer advertised on the website for Happy Hour 12pm to 7 pm does not apply as it had ended we got told July. Hotel online offer is still on their website but it's not available. Rooms very good andFood in restaurant was good including staff very polite. Breakfast we got there at 9 a. M it was chaotic one poor lady on her own trying to set at least 20 +guests and tables, all staff polite but breakfast time needs more attention to staffing.

Staff very friendly and helpful, very large comfy bed but pillows like sleeping on plastic bags! Having stayed here on numerous occasions the breakfast not as good as it used to be, orange juice was more like a weak squash, no choice of fresh fruit or yogurts. Choice of bacon, sausages, mushrooms, beans, scrambled or fried eggs.

I booked this hotel a year ago for a family reunion. This reunion happens every five years and people come from all over the world. There were approximately 55 of us and after a bit of difficulty booking, (no familyfrooms for 5 — though we came up with a solution and international family struggled due to time differences) we never looked back! The staff were great in every area and worked hard to look after us. Thanks to everyone Involved with our stay. I would definitely recommend.

Staff very friendly and helpful. I book the kids stay free deal did not get the meal deal as advertise. Room clean and tidy but our room was noisey at night as right outside window were the fans/ generators which kept me awake. Only one pillow, normally two as have stayed there before. Overall we enjoyed stay food in pub was lovely.

Attended the spa as a birthday treat. And what a treat it was! Would recommend.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are comfortable with modern, stylish and colourful forniture. The facility offers a very well equipped gym (I didn't use it but it is very popular in the area also among locals). There is a restaurant a pub and Starbucks… so several options to meet different needs. The only reason for not scoring 5 stars is due to the service at the pub. It was too slow — not acceptable if ordering an humburger. Remember that at the pub, you need to order at the counter… waiter is not coming at your table for it.

Good location within walking distance of train station. Bed comfortable but unfortunately rooms are not well sound proofed. Gym/spa/pool were good.

I've been a member of the gym at the hotel for 2 years now. It's fab. Facilities are great and we typically take our children swimming most weekends. I've also enjoyed food in the restaurant and also attended one of the themes nights which was brilliant! Highly recommend.

I stayed for 1 night but havevstayed for weekends before. Staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. Food in bar and restaurant both excellent. The hotel has spa pool and gym if you are inclined.

Excellent room and helpful staff. However, smokers gather round the entrance all day making the lobby stink. Breakfast OK. Traditional and not modern. Partner and I don't eat meat, cheese, or eggs but there was enough to eat. But no 'alternative' — veggie sausages you can order have cheese in apparently so be aware for allergens. Wouldn't suit vegans well.

The Sunday carvery is probably the best value anywhere. It's nice and busy, so the meat didn't t dry out. Lots of selection for the starters, and the crumble for dessert is always good. If there was one criticism, the service can be slow for drinks. The waiting staff tend to stand around talking in certain zones, so don't really see when people require attention, but I do understand that with the number of people it can be a lot of work. Would definitely recommend. We've been loads of times since moving to the area.

Awful place, gone right downhill since it opened. Restaurant only open in evening. Bar meals burgers or cold wraps. Not enough choice. Decor dowdy grey. Awful depressing place. Bar staff were nice rest of staff aloof. Not helpful. Never going back.

My Girlfriend and I joined our family here for my mother's birthday (restaurant only), the service was outstanding! Staff were very polite and attentive. The food was spot on and not too expensive. The area was clean and tidy and catered for children with a fun kids menu and colouring in too. We all had a blast and I would highly recommend ☆☆☆☆☆

Great little hotel with a fantastic gym. Other good points are: the hotel sports bar has good food and great offers every so often. Starbucks in the foyer. An Italian restaurant that you will be able to have something different in. Gym membership is slightly too much money for my liking. Especially since there is a new 24 hour gym opening at Junction 1 for £15/month. Staff are friendly and will always strive to help you out. The pool is great, as are the sauna/steam room and two jacuzzi. My kids think it's a real treat coming here, especially since they got free ice-cream for no reason at all on two occasions. Recommended.

First class service from all of the staff. Parking spaces very generous making it very easy to park. Very comfortable bed plus a great breakfast. Would stay there again. Many thanks.

Very stylish rooms, we were upgraded to a Club Room, shame were leaving today could have done with watching the Liverpool and Manchester United Game room came with a bottle of Prossecco on arrival from the Reception staff. They made it really special as me and my Partners B-Days are the same. Pool was clean, not too much chlorine, Good sized Gym and highly recommend the Jacuzzi or hot tub. We had a two course meal included in our stay which was great as we both chose our two starters, I chose the Calamari, and we both chose the Steak. All washed down with another complimentary glass of fizz. Will definitely come again very good atmosphere.

My second Village hotel experience. Both were excellent. Can't wait to try out the rest. Breakfast was incredible and the bed was very comfy.

The function we had was a Masonic Ladies Evening. The venue (Village Hotel Bromborough) and staff were second to none. A most enjoyable evening, good food and friendly staff, will definately use the location again. Thank you.

Arrived 2 hours before check in and was greeted by a very nice girl on reception who checked me in with no fuss. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely with a nice selection of food and drink. The pool was very nice and warm and I took full advantage of my time there, swimming every night. I would highly recommend staying here.

Had a spa day here and although the spa treatment was 5* the facilities and staff in the leisure club were not so good. The facilities were unclean in the pool, sauna and hot tub. The leisure staff a older lady in particular was rude and in helpful. The facilities need a deep clean and a upgrade as are very outdated.

Great hotel. Stayed in a Club room. Used the sauna, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. Didn't get round to using the gym which was part of the package. Room was excellent. Feedback for improvements would be: instructions for the coffee machine. Wouldn't have wasted a capsule figuring out out! Better signage in the men's changing room! The exit is not marked in any way lol.

If I could put a 3.5 rating I would. To be honest I was a bit disappointed with the swimming facilities. The changing rooms are great, clean, looked after etc. The swimming pool itself was a let down, it's looking very tired and the wood doors on the steam rooms are rotting. I was expecting a bit more of a superior environment considering the high price tag of £10 per swim! It could do with being updated and at least the door fixing.

Very, very helpful and friendly staff. Really great venue, very clean and tidy, comfortable. Clean toilets with full toilet rolls. Great venue for all sorts, food was fantastic also!

We went for an unlimited carvery for father's day and the staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. We had several fussy children with us one who the only vegetable they like is broccoli but there was no broccoli on the carvery. No problem they did a portion just for her. Another only liked turkey and carrots no problem they gave him extra turkey. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The food was very good and the choice of starters was great but I would have liked to see a bit more variety in the vegetables offered in the carvery.

Stayed as part of a £50 dinner and stay package. Hotel reception friendly and professional, room clean and spacious. Used the free gym/ pool facilities nice large quiet pool with spa and sauna. Dinner in Italian American restaurant on set menu, "Frankie and Bennies" style, nice food good portion sizes for set menu. Would use a again.

An absolute joke of a hotel. Room was awful. Woken up by noise all night. The decor of the room was dirty, tired with an amateur finish. Don't stay in room 101 or any room for that matter. It's the 2nd time ive stayed in a village hotel and both experiences where poor. Looking for a full refund. Don't waste your time.

Upperdeck room was nice, very comfy bed and huge TV. Shower had good pressure and was really good! Proper hairdryer too instead of the usual weak hotel ones. We also used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna all of which were great. Sadly not 5 stars as one of the light switches in the room was broken and screen was not watertight in the shower so it left a huge puddle. Also thought the restaurant was OK, but very overpriced for what we got.

On the whole the hotel is nice but the rooms are dated they show there best rooms to advertise the place online I feel the price I paid £80 does not reflect the quality of the room.

I have a membership one problem I have the gold which is the top an still they except me to pay top prices to bring my family for 1 or 2 swimming or gym! Also bar drinks very expensive but the gym is great really private an big pool is big but can be very cold some days.

Stayed 1 night on 22.3.14, had double room, room was very tired looking, cobwebs and tops of bathroom doors covered in thick dust and fluff. Food in Italian restraunt very average. Breakfast in morning we had to wait with 5 other couples for 15 minutes to be seated in restraunt, having paid £99 for our stay, I can only speak of dissapointment. On 1 positive note I found all the staff very friendly.

Went with a group for my future sister-in laws hen night. Went on abba night on Friday 18 June. The dinner was good, veg option was lovely better that the usual pasta dish most places offer. The entertainment was ok. Room was good and the breakfast was good too and for £50 was a great deal. Met some nice people especially some lovely welsh lads.
