A very nice hotel in the centre of Liverpool. Staff have been very plesent and happy to help. Good restaurant and some interesting options on the menu.

This hotel has been in nightmare since that moment we entered our room. Upon opening our door we were met with very hot air. We immediately turned the fan and the air conditioning up as high as it would go. After 45 minutes of waiting, both of us very red-faced and closer the lobsters than humans, I attempted to call the front desk to see if we could have the air conditioning fixed. I trief to call the front desk five times and no one picked up. I even let the phone ring for over a minute. I finally gave up calling and made my way down to the front desk to make my request in person. Instead of having the air conditioning fixed I was assured that someone would come and bring us a fan. It was also suggested that I shut the blinds in our room. She didn't seem interested that our air conditioner wasn't actually blowing cold air. I have to admit that the fan arrived very promptly. However the fan really didn't blow any air. This is one weak fan. It also just blew around the hot air. We moved the fan to be in front of the window, that barely opens, to try to pull in some cool air. This helps slightly but it was still very hot in the room. The room itself is in very rough shape. The most notable issue is the tiles in the bathroom. The grout is missing and all the tiles move when you stand on them. They even pop-up slightly when you step on one of the corners. This seems dangerous. There are very dark stains on the carpet. Even the toilet paper holder is coming out of the wall.

The hotel was lovely, the location central and most of the staff were very helpful, specifically, Jose, Paulina and David the chef, whose Liverpool scouse was simply amazing. The only thing that let it down was the bar waiter. He left me for around 30 minutes before he came to take my order and when I did give it, I had to wait another 20 minutes before it arrived.

The waitress informed me that this was an attempt to be 'cool. ' Meanwhile, the menu was written in ultra-small type that was impossible to read. All in all, the experience was unpleasant. The hotel room: Excellent. Comfortable, spacious bed. Spacious, well appointed bathroom unit, featuring a wonderful shower. The room itself (single) was clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. Single-rooms in modern hotels can be depressingly compact; but none of that here — it was a cheerful, generous layout. Breakfast: I opted for the cooked take-what-you-want buffet, and it was pretty damn good. Bacon, scrambled eggs, etc. High quality stuff, and it's worth noting that the bacon was cooked properly, not overcooked and not undercooked. However the coffee did tend to be tepid rather than properly hot. After a couple of days, I became addicted to these breakfasts, in spite of the coffee problem.

Excellent town centre hotel, with an excellent restaurant and bar offering a great deal of variety. A very helpful and friendly staff who go out of there way to help you.

Excellent central location with many shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The pool and the steam room were very nice. Staff are friendly and efficient. Parking is only available in the Q-Park across the road. Novotel will issue a bar-coded ticket fan will give you a 30% discount. Highly recommended!

Bedroom was comfy, although had to ask for the sofa bed to be made up twice. Swimming pool was also great. Good breakfast.

Very comfortable nights sleep. Clean room and shower/toilet. Staff were polite and friendly. I would recommend staying here, good central location. Book in advance if possible to get a good deal, just check all the usual comparison websites. Can be a bit pricey if booked late and there is a football game on that day or weekend. Albert Docks nearby, check out the pics. Overall, a satisfied customer.

Very nice hotel! Excellent attention and Liverpool a marvel!

Location is great, breakfast is nice, service is always fast and helpful and the rooms are nice except for one or two problems. The problems being plug sockets and the air conditioning. The air conditioning seems to just about work, even when set to max, and one plug socket across the room from the bed is not enough for one person, let alone two. You can salvage one more socket if you unplug the Bluetooth speaker, which is a nice inclusion. But sockets are definitely needed near the bed, at the very least get an extension per room and leave them in a drawer somewhere.

Had a wonderful weekend at Novotel Liverpool stayed in the Executive Suite (upgraded by the lovely Jade). We were welcomed promptly and everything we needed to know was explained calmly & politely. Breakfast was lovely especially the cooked full English! Thankyou Novotel.

The food was delicious. Both starters and mains were well presented and flavoursome. The staff were friendly and the very helpful. There was a bit of a wait for a table despite it seeming fairly quiet. We did not stay in the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms or the other services.

The waitress plays on the phone, no information! Reception poisonous! Building is great.

Stayed mid week for work, the room was clean and tidy could do with a few more plug sockets. Breakfast was good both days. Will have to try the pool on my next stay. One down side is that the heating was fully on and the room was very warm despite the Indian summer temperatures outside.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The reception staff were lovely, made checking in and using the facilities easy. We brought our dog to the hotel to stay. The location was ideal and the staff fussed over him which was fab. I would definitely recommend your hotel to others.

I stayed overnight for work mid week. Good central location in Liverpool with cheap overnight parking at a nearby car park. The rooms were clean and tidy, the gym facilities aren't great but adequate for a hotel gym, the pool was small and looked nice although I didn't go in. There is a nice looking bar in the hotel but the staff are incredibly slow. Breakfast had a lovely spread but it was very difficult to be seated and this was at 0730. Nice place overall.

Friendly staff. No early check-in available. Request in advance for room with 3 beds was ignored. I understand now that this was not possible. But communication in advance (response to request) would have been good. Otherwise I think it's best not to ask guests to make requests during the booking process. There was no bed linen on the sofa bed. No bed linen in the cupboards or anywhere else. So with my 2 kids in the Queen bed, I ended up sleeping on a sofa bed with no covers. The staff were very friendly and responsive. Though it was late, I probably should have called when I discovered the lack of bed linen on the sofa bed. The hotel is nice. The food and coffee was very good. So overall I would say mediocre. Though when paying £297 for a room for the night (half board), I would normally expect a little better. Facilities and rooms excellent. We had four rooms and one of us found the noise outside disturbing but the others didn't. Staff very helpful, although prior arrangement for two sets of adjoining rooms had not been carried out and we ended up with only one set after some changing around. Breakfast high quality. Location superb. Thank you we would stay again if visiting Liverpool.

Good! Excellent location. The room needed a little additional heating in the evenings. Breakfast — as a none meat eater there was really only a basic breakfast available. Otherwise a good stay. All things considered, I would return to the hotel again and recommend to others.

Excellent check in experience, room set up well for my husband, myself and 2 children aged 6 & 4, not sure they'd appreciate sharing a sofa bed in they were older and a different sex but for us it was ideal. The room, 520, was on the side of the hotel and facing the multi story car park. We found it was very noisy even at 5am. Luckily our children were exhausted. Breakfast served until 11 was ideal, we went down at 1030, waited some time to be seated. Unfortunately a lot of the hot food was gone. I waited quite a while for a plate and eventually managed to get a server to get some for the family. Myself and a lot of other people were having to ask for hot items, when they were eventually put out they were extremely tasty. Just disappointing having to ask for items when breakfast wasn't over.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable, including the sofa bed for the kids. The pool facilities were good for a city centre hotel. Good quality breakfast and bar. On top of this the location for exploring Liverpool couldn't be better, directly opposite Liverpool One shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the Museums, Docks and Cathedrals. A couple of extra sockets in the rooms for charging all the gadgets would be useful.

Pluses… Comfortable bed. Clean tidy well equipped room. Quiet room. Decent breakfast. Minuses… slightly corporate atmosphere. Chipped cup in room. Slightly awkward cards for entering room. Too many emails from novotel. Being encouraged to check on online which generated a £50 charge.

Would highly recommend the Novotel Liverpool centre. Very central to all Liverpool transport links and amenities. Wonderful clean and comfortable room and OMG it has a POOL, SAUNA and GYM. Bring your togs! Breakfast included was absolutely lovely! Couldn't fault this hotel! Welcoming and helpful staff and to top it all, the price for a room was perfect!

I try to book at the hotel as much as possible — it's our favourite place to stay locally. Breakfast is amazing. Rooms are always clean, comfortable and child friendly. Easy to get to local cinemas, shops and restaurants. We love it!

We stay at the Novotel in Liverpool regularly due to hospital visits for my daughter who has a significant illness. The staff have been very kind and helpful, especially our last stay where they allowed us to keep our room for longer so my daughter could rest after the hospital visit. Thank you. Our next stay is on or around the 30th July but maybe one before that also. The room is clean and spacious/comfortable, It is also central so we can walk out and be in the heart of Liverpool. The breakfast is very good also.

Stayed in Novotel Liverpool for a wedding, lovely room, great breakfast, kids loved the pool. Friendly staff. Would've preferred the sink to be in the same room as the toilet, but the shower area was spotless. Lovely generous toiletries great price as the two kids stayed and ate for free. Brilliant location. Walked straight into town and over to Albert Docks. Funky restaurant and a very nice and diverse breakfast selection. Accepted Tesco club card vouchers.

Quite expensive rate for a standard room but very well kept or recently refitted as the room was impeccably clean and faultless, well almost, really need to fit air con. It wasn't the hottest day outside but the room was too warm for me, I would expect air con for a 3 figure rate.

Smart central hotel, good location for shops and attractions. Small rooms and breakfast is chaos in the morning trying to find somewhere to sit.

Absolutely amazing. Lovely modern rooms and hotel in general. The only downside was the pool was getting done up when I stayed there but a great hotel overall. Can't wait to return.

Staying overnight for my girlfriends birthday. Requested a room on a higher floor for a nice view of the city. Turned up being offered room 1115 on the top floor being afforded beautiful views of the dock, Liverpool wheel and the Mersey river. The rooms was spacious with a very comfy bed, sofa, and a very very well equipped bathroom. I also paid for breakfast which was buffet style offering cooked and continental breakfast all of which was very high quality. Overall a very good room, restaurant and overall hotel one which I highly recommend!

Very good experience in the hotel. It has a great location right next to Liverpool 1. And I particularly liked the hotel pool & gym.

Amazing, room was clean. Staff were friendly, especially the bar staff. The location was perfectly played for transport links and amenities.

The hotel accommodation were Ok, but not safe at all. Some one walked into my room late night I did even know who it was, and I had the door locked. The staff was polite, no problems there. Do not recommend.

The staff are grumpy. The hotel has no air conditioning, instead they use "Air Cooling" making the rooms a "comfortable" 25-30C. I asked for an extension cord, because there is no power near the beds. They directed me to the store next door to purchase one. There are much better hotels in Liverpool.

What an amazing stay! Near to everything, shops, station, Tesco and son one. A really helpfull personnels. I've really enjoyed my stay.

Ideal location, affordable and really nice interiors. Good night's sleep, no noise from outside despite it being on a busy road. The staff that we came across were friendly and welcoming. The only food which we had was at breakfast which was a typical hotel style continental buffet. Nothing special but barely any queues and good service.

Lack of Polish (60 mln speakers) in check-in and check-out machine. Instead, Norwegian (5 mln speakers) and Dutch (20 mln speakers). If I would like my non-English speaking parents to stay in the hotel, they would have problem communicating. The hotel was nice, modern and affordable. The staff was nice but rather strange, offering a room for 89 pounds and then changing their mind to £65.

Good hotel but with deficiencies.
From its opening (two years ago) I have stayed several times at this hotel, always business except a few days ago in that I went with my family. It seems that the standard of quality is going down as time passes. In the bathroom, empty toilet paper tube was there for two days. Do not clean us paper, not clean us SOAP, we needed a cup (we were 3 people and everything was for two, minus the price), a towel, pillow. The last day met the cleaner into the room and told him the needs, said nothing of what was said, as well as throw me some products that I had left in the bathroom (expensive BTW).
The worst hotel and most ridiculous is the pool service, since you have to request a card to access it whenever one low, i. E. Should pass "in smaller cloths" (suit bath & t-shirt, for example) whenever you want to get in front of a crowd and wait in line to pick up the card. We discussed it at the front desk and we answered:
1 does esto for safety. For the same reason a room key should be given whenever one comes and goes.
2. One can dress down to the pool and change there. That would be fine if it were not dirty and all saturated, as we find it at 7 in the morning the first day I went down, and no towels or place where change without damaging all the clothes.
