Ordered some food, took an hour to arrive, not very good as the place had been recommended. Poor.

Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen food was rubbish and the place needs a massive makeover it stinks.

Lovely traditional pub with a real rustic feel. Serves good range of beers. In the summer they layed on a fantastic buffet for my walking group at a bargain price.

Stayed here for two nights while at a family wedding nearby, staff couldn't do enough for us. They even dropped us off at the wedding and waited for us, until midnight to pick us up. Lovely family run b&b. Rooms are clean and cosy. Quiet area and comfy beds! Couldn't fault the place at all. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Lovely spot in Lincolnshire Wolds. Sit outside in the sun and watch world going by. Popular with walkers walking the Viking Way. Friendly, interesting old bar at the back, and comfy lounge. Even sells ice creams.

Had a great 4day break in the cottage opposite spent every evening in the pub excellent food great atmosphere Richard and staff made you very welcome Wednesday when the football was on we had an early meal and half time we were given pizzzs and chips lovely touch the pub was buzzing even though England.

Not impressed, had to wait nearly an hour for our meal and we were the only people eating at that time, 20 mins after placing our order we were told one of the items we had ordered was not available, they could of told us when we had placed our orders. Table cloth and seats were covered in dog hairs then to top it off I found 2 dog hairs in my meal. Very bland food, will not be returning.

Typical authentic country pub, usually full of regular locals. Always a warm welcome, especially when the fires are burning in the hearths. Full menus with good selection of daily specials. Sunday lunch is a must! Never seen such an array of assorted veg in addition to the generous portions of roast beef/ chicken, Yorkshire pudding and REAL gravy. Entertainments some evenings. If you love history, then Alfred Lord Tennyson's local is the place to go.

This is an old building that's been lovingly looked after to keep all it's quirkiness and charm. It's not the polished, glossy, high end staple which is so popular now, but is a true escape from All Of That. It's a warm, relaxed, comfortable, and genuinely easy place to be in. This working public home and local hub has become what it is organically. It's a glimpse in to the life of this lively little village nestling in beautiful rolling countryside, and is very much one of a kind. Here you relax from a ramble or a long working day with dogs at your feet, supping a craft beer in front of the open wood fire in the bar, on the great settle that looks as old as the pub itself. Or perhaps you'd prefer to sit in the tea room — take a couch by the log burner, with exotic birds and maybe even the chirp of new chicks hatching (closely guarded by the house cats). If you prefer it more formal dine in the restaurant, or if less so, escape to the games room. You can even visit the families of exotic birds and rabbits out the back, while watching the horses being brought in to the yard. Maybe you'll catch a live music night — they put on a mix of great local acts here — nothing heavy, but a wide range from acoustic to reggae, we saw a great acoustic duo. This place is a glimpse of what hides in the Wolds, and the fact it exists at all really is warmth for the soul. We will be coming back.

Great atmosphere, piano player welcomes you into the pub and an excellent Sunday roast experienced with all the trimmings.

Great little country pub … amazing staff … amazing food … dogs are very welcome … some history here.

Fire burning, good beer, settle, tiled floor, food, dog, cat, locals, welcome, a pub like they used to be. Nothing else needed but good company.

A great place that is full of character. The staff were very friendly and helpfull plus the food was good. The room was clean and the shower was good too. There are a load of animals there that our son enjoyed chasing.

A very old school English place. Great value. Downstairs is a bit grubby long but don't let that put you off — the rooms are perfectly clean. Atmosphere and ambience in the bar reminds me of pubs from when I was a kid, before they started trying way too hard.

Dirty room in need of repair and cleaning. The pictures I posted on here speak a thousand words. Definitely not worth the money they are asking. The pub and breakfast area also acts as a playground for the owner's pets (cats and birds). Hence the common areas are quitd worn and amortised. The whole place is in need of a refresh. Also beware that the lub has live music on one night, which will inevitably cause problems if you aim to sleep early. On the upside at least the breakfast was quite good.

My partner stayed for a track day, he is going back again this weekend very happy with everything.

Such a friendly place! Stayed here a couple times and I couldn't recommend it more. The food is great, the room is lovely and there's plenty of beers to choose from! Although sadly we couldn't sample them all this time… there's always next time!
