The food was wonderful, we all loved our meals. It was difficult to choose what to have off the menu, as, it all sounded lovely. The staff are helpful and make you feel very welcome.

Had lovely meal with family. Good food, relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the Admiral Rodney Hotel.

Lovely lunch, friendly staff…

My husband and I have just stayed for two nights at this hotel. Jenny on Reception and all of the waiting on staff especially the Duty Manager could not do enough for us. We enjoyed a lovely champagne afternoon tea, compliments to the kitchen staff. We highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and the bed was very comfy. We would hesitate in staying here again. Thank you.

Enjoyed our 2 night break here. Really nice room, good food and the staff were all lovely. Special mention to Viktor who is amazing, he works so hard to maintain very high standards and his customer care is fantastic. Also Estrella and Jennie (nan) are a credit to the company! thank you to all concerned!

Lovely stay at the Admiral Rodney. It was a friends get together. We were given a very friendly welcome. The rooms were well equipped and beautifully decorated. Our dinner and breakfast was delicious. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff. From the Ladies that Tour.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. However woefully lacking when dealing with a twin pushchair. Lift is tiny and doesn't fit much in it. Doors didn't open wide enough to get into the lobby.

This is a lovely old hotel that is grade 2 listed. The reception staff and restaurant staff were lovely and friedly.

We had our works Christmas Meal there. So good. 19 of us and they managed everything so well.

Good food presented so well. Service was excellent only sorry I haven't got the name of our waitress she is originally from the Philippines she has served us on previous occasions very pleasant and efficient.

Sunday Roast was beautiful, Roast Beef cooked perfect the Gravy wow it was lovely.
A lovely shock when we walked inside the Bar and Restaurant are beautiful x.

Group of 5 Travelled to celebrate a friends 60th birthday for the afternoon tea… the Staff, service and food fantastic. Was in no rush for us to leave. Will be visiting again for a meal very soon. Mx.

We have been here a couple of times and we have been impressed every time! The staff are friendly and always go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The food is amazing and a brilliant choice on the menu. The kids menu is great too and really good portion sizes. We tried the caramel latte and it is delicious! Visited the restaurant for my other halves birthday, as a foodie I can honestly say it’s the best place I’ve eaten in Lincolnshire hands down. The staff are great, our waitress, a blonde lady, was really friendly (didn’t catch her name). Thanks all for a lovely evening X.

Absolute First Class Service from everyone. Rooms are immaculate and we all enjoyed our stay. Food in the Restaurant was first class and a very varied menu that pleases everyone.

We have just come back from a night away (Oct 28th) and we honestly could not really fault it, the staff were lovely, particularly the duty manager at breakfast (sorry I didn't get her name), who was welcoming and lovely, was really informative about the area and also the other inns in the group when we enquired about them… she's a real credit to the place.
The room was lovely, though I found the shower really powerful, bit too powerful! the extractor fan was also not working so very steamy. The TV was also a bit temperamental and the Sky attachment seemed to be held on with blutack. Apart from that it was a lovely room, very clean and the bed was comfy.
We ate at the restaurant, again everything was great, waitresses were attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our food, we had the Sunday lunch, portion sizes were good, the food was very nice and good value.
Breakfast was also lovely, in fact we were stuffed, we enjoyed it so much we will be staying here again and have actually looked at other places within the group that the duty breakfast manager recommended.
So well done everyone and thank-you, we will certainly be back!

Wow what a place. From the front you have no clue what is inside. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the decor is amazing and the rooms are very nice. The beds were very comfortable, we had a family room that was huge with a bath and shower. Really lovely outdoor seating area. Parking is free around the back. Breakfast was really tasty, and all top quality. I would quite happily stay here over and over again. Loved it.

This place is an unassuming little gem! As you drive past on the main road it looks like any other bar or B&B but as soon as you step inside you are transported to a chic and cosy paradise which has a real sense of tranquil luxury.
We stayed in a family room on a bed and breakfast basis (2 adults and 1 child) for less than the cost of a premier inn and the quality of our stay was second to none.
Our room was more like a suite with a full bathroom including bath which was a …very much welcome treat after a long day wandering the picturesque town of Lincoln and exploring the castle.
The decor was of a very high level and in very good taste and the linen and towels of excellent quality. All the little touches that really take a place up another level.
The beds were very comfy too which is a must. Downstairs the restaurant area has a contemporary ecclectic feel with a relaxing atmosphere and a lovely little courtyard seating area with fairylights overhead.
We didn't have our evening meal here but the menu looked reasonably priced with a good selection and we did order drinks and sit out in the courtyard which was lovely.
Breakfast was amazing with a great choice of cold and hot options with impeccable service that made us feel like royalty.
All of the staff were welcoming and friendly and Krissy was particularly pleasant and gave us some excellent tips for sight seeing locally.

A quality hotel in the town centre. It has spacious dining and lounging areas, function rooms and bar, plus well appointed bedrooms. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. All is enhanced by the nautical decor.

Hi we visited the Rodney for an impromptu birthday meal and we're very impressed. The food was excellent and the service also. Very unusual dining room, lots of character. Overall a very nice experience. Thank you.

I went here for an Art Exhibition. The artist was Anita Mortimer and we had a fantastic time. The Admiral Rodney is a beautiful place, it's classy and has so much character. The restaurant downstairs it very nice, very comfortable and the food it's presented well and tastes wonderful, and little on the pricy side but very nice indeed. The room that was used for the exhibition had a small bar at one end and a small dance floor at the other end which would be great for a wedding reception. It has rooms but I've never stayed here but I think it would be lovely.

Nice hotel situated in Horncastle town centre. Good standard rooms, clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection and standard of pub classic dishes.

Very clean relaxing hotel we went for a drink been refurbished since last went in. Very tastefully done. Bit pricey for 2 cokes out of a bottle.

Hotel with character. Friendly Staff. Great Food in unusual courtyard dining area. Seperate Bar area. Rooms at rear are quiet with excellent facilitys & provisions — Comfy Beds, Good shower/bath & decent towels, Sky TV, Nice touches such as Tea & Coffee variants, biscuits, bottled water etc. Many good Pubs and Restaurants within a 5 minutes walk too.

Very nice atmosphere food was nice but nothing that interesting. Spoilt by having to wait over half a hour for for dessert well we cancelled the order and paid. This is not a reflection on the waiting staff.

We had a Superior double next to what we believe was a staff bedroom? T. V on at 5.30 in the morning doors banging, coat hangers sliding etc… paper thin walls. Not what you would expect really from an advertised Superior room. Saying that we did come back late from a wedding the night before, so I guess we had it coming… Lol. Nice staff and bar, very polite. Wouldn't stay again thou because of the building…

Really enjoyed my stay as I work away from home so I stop in a lot of hotels, this is one of the better ones, the staff are really helpful and it's nice to have sky TV in my room although you don't have every channel it's still a big difference to most other places, I've yet to try the food but I've heard lots of good things about it and can't wait.

A class hotel in Horncastle. However the evening meal was a bit of a let down with cold soggy " double cooked" chips which were over cooked and tasteless. Our room on first night of 2 was overlooking the road outside. Very noisy at 6am. Reception cheerfully moved us to a side room. No charge! Overall a good stay and will go back.

Fantastic place, homely friendly, amazing rooms, great price for rooms and food definitely worth a vist.

The car park has plenty of room and the entrance is well lit and welcoming. Whilst walking through to the bar all the staff greeted me and everywhere was clean and well designed. The bar was efficient and easy.

The place itself is very nice and the coffees and drinks we had were very good too unfortunately food was not being served due to a larger party which was a shame.

Lovely hotel & good restaurant. Really good layout in 3 bedded room — third bedside unit would be useful + lower watt bedside lights. Brilliant floor level lighting in bathroom.

Went for a 2 night Xmas break. Service and staff excellent, room very spacious, comfortable and stylish. Most of the food was superb, just one let down but this didn't spoil the experience. Can definitely recommend.

Bed was big and bed linens luxurious. Food and service also v good. However sound insulation so bad we could hear man next door snoring all night and spoilt whole hotel experience.

Really lovely hotel in the middle of a quaint English town. Staff were friendly and very helpful, room was well decorated, spacious with a comfortable bed the only little niggle is the room was very chilly but would definitely recommend.

I went to the hotel with my family for a funeral and I had a great time. The rooms were comfortable and the food was great. It was a great get together place for the family. Only problem was that it was expensive but apart from that it was great.

Very good value for money. Well decorated. Comfy rooms. Rooms also well stocked with various towels and bath products, nice little touches here and there. Was plesant suprise and will be back next time im down.

Recently refurbished hotel in the centre of town with amble car parking. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the bedrooms are well equipped and spacious with very comfortable beds. We'll be back.

A delightful find. An overnight stay whilst away on business. The staff were very welcoming and my room was very nice. Only downside was that it had been recently refurbished and still had a strong smell of paint which neccesitated the window to be left open. Unfortunately the room overlooked the main road so traffic noise spoilt sleep. Bed was very comfortable though. Ensuite bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. Very powerful shower Very good evening meal served in the very impressive dining area. Breakfast was excellent with an impressive choice of quality ingredients… the Eggs Benedict were delicious. Would highly recommend.

Only ever used the bar. Comfortable, welcoming, quiet enough to talk. Great selection of gins if that's your thing.

Had the half rack of ribs, I've had them before but once upon a time they used to be very meaty and big, the portion size was small. The chip portion was small as were the side order of mushrooms — they arrived in what looked like a coffee cup. Overall I was disappointed with the food, portion size inadequate.

The staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. Even found me another room and moved me into it whilst I was out visiting clients. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Would be very happy to stay there again.

I live just across the road and pop in to sample the ambience, the food aroma, coffees, hotel muzak, chat occasionally with holidaymakers whilst Wi-Fi ing. Something of a courting couples spot in the evenings, with dinners and cosy bar area.

Have been here most of the week, and like most other Best Westerns it is a comfy, warm, relaxing place to be. Food served is of good quality, staff are very friendly, ample parking is available however it is round the back of the hotel (with an access entrance, so no traipsing around the building with your suitcases! ) and not too well signposted. The website does list its postcode though, which made it really easy to find. Rooms seem quiet enough and the bed is average. Will definitely be back here when next working in Lincoln. **EDIT** Forgot to mention, there was a person in the bar area complaining about the Wi-Fi coverage being poor, both in the bar and in his room. However, this was not the experience I had. I managed full coverage in both my room and any part of the bar or restaurant.
