I had a room booked here through work, I struggle with pub environments as I have anxiety around large groups of people, when I walked in the owner made me feel as if I had lived there my whole life, he was incredibly welcoming, showed me to my room and gave me a lovely introduction on the way. food here is incredible! I had a giant Yorkshire pudding and loved every bite 😋 followed by breakfast in the morning and a lovely chat with the owner as he cooked me fresh english breakfast! would 100% go back again! thank you to all staff you made me feel at home 🏠

Very welcoming, catered for my dietary requirements and dog friendly. This was our second visit, have booked third already.

Cracking beer, good food, friendly locals, decent B&B and not expensive. Highly recommended.

First visit — found after searching for a dog friendly room for the night. Dogs welcome in room (by arrangement) and bar area — accommodated us at breakfast with the dog also. Food was fantastic and staff friendly and helpful. Instantly wished we had booked more than 1 night. Will be back soon.

The staff are nice and talkative but the price for the food is a bit over the top.

Stayed for 3 nights. Didn't change the towel in 3 days despite asking. No Wi-Fi. The food is average but typical pub food. The bedding looked used and the matters was like sleeping on the floor. Never again.

A small country side hotel, good beer and a lovely food.

What a great friendly public house. First class food, a to die for carvery, all staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Dogs welcome in bar area.
We also stayed in the accommodation, what a lovely comfortable stay that was for 4 nights. My only negative observation was the smell in the wet room, I assume it's just because the room is not constantly used. May I suggest trying an air freshener in the room.
The river don Tavern is a wonderful find. A comfortable fairly priced public house with accommodation. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the wonderful staff.

Such excellent value for money for the Sunday roast.

Stayed all over england through work. Must say the best yet. Good food good drink lol… slept like a baby … management fantastic and brill staff… if around this area this place is a must. You wont be let down.
