An amazing 3 day break. The grounds are beautiful. Facilities immaculate pools very luxurious and as for the food. Just out of this world Well done Champneys. I will be back.

Lovely people but the place is rather dated now in comparison to other Spa resorts out there. We come here quite regularly but have seen the decline in every visit, stayed for 2 nights and a few annoying things: The Cafe now closes between 5 — 5:30 due to lack of staff, maybe not a big thing to most but when your here there is nowhere else you can buy drinks etc so realistically once you've had your evening meal then it's bed time as no drinks to buy equals no evening entertainment either! I know it defeats the object but we took to the car and found a lovely pub: The Crickets Inn and popped in for one drink just to avoid early bedtime. Food was really good at Springs but an awful lot of extras you need to pay for ie: tea/coffee after your evening meal, cooked breakfast as they serve only continental. As a guide an egg is £5 (egg on toast, scrambled egg etc). Lunchtime today my water glass had lipstick marks around it and when I advised the young waitress that I had taken a glass from another table due to lipstick marks on mine the response was simply "Aah that's ok love" she placed the marked glass on the table next to us for the next lucky person to find! I could go on but I will finish by saying that next time I will be at Eden Hall or Ragdale! Enjoy.

Me and the mrs went for her birthday and it was an amazing time, the place is great and clean and the staff and service (especially from Kurtis) was next level goodness can’t rate them highly enough 5 out of 5 from us.

Just what we needed. Lovely welcoming resort with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent facilities — particularly the hydro-pool and the Head In The Clouds massage from Maria topped it off. Fully recommend if you need that getaway from the kids/work/everything 😂

Had the most amazing spa day at champneys. The setting is beautiful and the treatments are the best I’ve had. Can highly recommend the facial and back massage. Relaxing and my skin has never felt and looked so good. Special mention to Abbie who ensured we could have our treatments although I would highly recommend booking in advance so that you aren’t disappointed in the day as they book up quickly. Just the most amazing luxurious spa.

Diabolical. I lost my £6000 ring during a facial with hand massage. I did not accuse the lady who did the facial, I suggested checking laundry etc but the Staff did claim to have searched and couldn’t find it so advised me to ring the police to get the lady who performed the facial searched as they simple weren’t interested in doing further searching. Sadly the police did not find time to do this before the lady finished her shift. Then, due to living so locally to champneys and of course it’s staff, I had the lady in questions boyfriend message me personally through social media abusing me and coming out with all sorts of twisted versions of events which were simply false. GDPR comes to mind? He was Trying to call me a liar regarding loosing my ring. I simply stated that cctv will prove it went missing after the facial and my receipt will prove the purchase of the ring and I then had to block the gentleman. How dare a member of staff be so unprofessional. I understand he might want to defend his young girlfriend but to personally hunt down customers and message them at 8pm at night is disgusting when I didn’t directly accuse anybody. I have every right to have the loss of my ring investigated considering staff confirmed more than one standard Protocol was not followed during my facial and cctv was available to look at. Now I am suspicious. Then to top things off I was served raw halloumi covered in charcoal twice. The replacement was as bad as the original.

Just returned home from yet another lovely stay at Champneys Springs. The staff are fantastic, my room was clean and bright. Definitely my happy place 😁

The surroundings were very beautiful, excellent lunch, catered for gluten free intolerance guest. Our table waitress was lovely and very polite.
Disappointed with the pedicure treatment as it was very basic for £37, 25mins. I could of done it myself.
Outside tables were not cleaned a bit shabby. Quite crowded and busy. Pool and whirlpool was very busy. Wouldn’t go back to champneys springs. Needs to improve their services. 🤨

My booking was cancelled at Christmas due to covid, understandably.
It’s been 67 days since they cancelled my booking and they still haven’t refunded my money.
Very disappointed with the service and speed at which they are refunding. I definitely won’t be booking again.

We have just returned back from a 2 night stay, it was heaven. Staff are so welcoming and approachable. We felt very safe as all staff and guests wear PPE, hand sanitiser placed all around the spa.
The food was very tasty and they ha e a variety of different food, for all kinds of dietary needs. I myself have Coeliacs disease and they, had no problem making my dining experience wonderful. Carol and Dale made sure that my best friends birthday, was one to remember. If you can you need to experience a Springs stay. We are so completely relaxed and refreshed. Just returned from a 3 day break at Champneys Springs, well what can I say! Amazing staff, so helpful and engaging in every way. Nothing too much trouble. Facilities so clean and a relaxing vibe all over the spa. Our room was huge and beautifully warm, clean and comfy. Food healthy and delicious. Can't wait to return for more pampering, shopping and relaxing.

Had cocoon wrap with Mandy. She is absolutely amazing very highly recommended. Thanks for a lovely stay x.

What a great time we have had strange but under the circumstances the staff have been wounderful thanks Annett and James and co.

Come home from a stay at champneys spring's yesterday this will be my 5th visit over the years, the room was lovely but it didn't feel the same this year, needs a lot of repairs and didn't feel as special, their was a extra charge on food and wine really expensive we paid £34 a bottle and nothing special also food as gone down the hill a lot unless you pay extra, we noticed a lot of rust about and spa music was not loud enough this always adds to the experience, in years gone buy you would feel relaxed as soon as you walked into the building, this time was not the same, I would recommend as still enjoyed because of the company but not at the price that you pay, the added price of food and drink and how run down it feels.

Had a lovely Visit on Thursday. Very relaxing. Had to book a slot at the pool which was a shame, as it wasn’t busy, but otherwise everything was great. Lovely food, incredibly nice staff & the cleaning regime was outstanding. For a relaxing day to unwind well worth a visit. Look forward to when the Sauna and steam room open again.

Champneys in Leicester! Not enough showers, and having to wait for people to shower (almost like we are having to watch them shower)! Service generally quite slow (staff at full capacity too)! Not enough water stations to drink water from. Jacuzzi not warm enough. Steam room out of order! However, great time with friends!

A great place to chill out if that’s all you want but there were lots of classes and activities on offer. My friends and I always make a point of booking a badminton court. The meals are great with plenty of choices.

Two night stay for the Wifflet and her pet Walrus, much nicer than I expected… lovely staff and luxurious surroundings… great pool and hydro. Food was way better than I imagined… very very relaxing.

Love Springs more than any other Spa, including the other Champneys. Nice food, lovely staff and great facilities.

It’s more focused on the health and fitness rather than a SPA.
The hydrotherapy pool was excellent way to end the day.
We didn’t experience the sauna or steam room. This is because I was with my husband and we couldn’t go in them as they’re in the Male and female changing rooms. So we would have been completely separated, which is a little bizarre to me. However to the food and therapy treatments are highly recommend. Staff are great too.

Absolutely loved my day. The staff made my 18th a day to remember. The food was delicious. Definitely definitely recommend. Will 100% be returning x.

Had a spa day there with my daughter yesterday… loved it! 3-course lunch was delicious, treatments and therapists perfect and the hydrotherapy pool out of this world! Well done Champneys… would fully recommend it to friends! Also. The lovely blond lady in the Champneys shop made a point of finding me to offer to gift-wrap the Xmas presents I had purchased… loved her kindness… thankyou!

Staff here are so lovely … best one out of all champneys.

Im staying for buisness and very comfortable, lovely staff, access to gym. And pool after a day a work, live the food, 3 menus on rotation, no bar which I don't miss.

Appalling company, took full payment with a boot camp booking, then ring with less than two weeks notice to say it is cancelled! Very poor customer service, even getting a refund costs you money to ring them and they will not even allow you to complain by phone.

Had a lovely relaxing time. Staff very attentive and friendly. Lots of places to sit and relax. Definitely will be returning.

Fabulous welcome from staff, really polite, friendly and attentive. Beautiful large spacious bedroom. Stunning location, we had glorious weather so everyone was sprawled outside in the vast grounds on the sun loungers. Loved the hydrotherapy pool & decent spa facilities. A shame there isn’t a chill out room & steam room for couples to use. The highlight was definitely the quality of the food though, amazing evening meal & a fabulous buffet lunch! Would definitely return!

We had a spa evening which was good value and the 3 course meal was lovely. Disappointed that the female sauna was not working and nobody told us what time the retail area closed. Would've loved to treat myself to some Elemis face cream but the shop was closed after our treatments. The Elemis face and body sensation treatment was gorgeous and I would thoroughly recommend it. Overall a lovely relaxing evening, 4* due to the above mentioned.

Please be aware that organising a group booking is not easy at this location. Once there it is lovely and highly recommended. But two activities weren't listed on our itinerary some of our group missed out. Also a manicure is a bad idea at a day Spa. Mine never actually set and was still sludgy 5 hours later. The grounds are lovely and staff very helpful, food was nice but not very hot. We had a room for the day which was very nice but if I'd booked it for a short break I would have been dissatisfied as it was next to a smelly manhole cover. Sewers I think. Perhaps we were unlucky. So on the whole good could have been perfect but wasn't.

Came here for my 4th wedding anniversary with my husband. Booked through Secret Escapes and can say I have paid less elsewhere and had better spa facilities. For anyone who is thinking of booking, here are my disappointments! 1 — pool is like a leisure centre, nothing wow or fantastic … 2 — whirlpool is forever cramped and never has space as everyone just hogs the place 3 — sauna by poolside is big enough for 3 people only (sort it out Champneys as this is a disgrace, I get better at the local gym) 4 — steam rooms are separate and not by poolside (no good for couples! Again disappointing) 5 — a la Carte menu very limited, food is not great (you seriously need to look at your menu as tofu burgers can not be the only thing vegans or vegetarians eat) 6 — disappointed that could not use the thalassotherapy pool and had to pay EXTRA! To use it. (Thought it was supposed to be part of the spa? ) 7 — room is very outdated, bathroom especially, no air con unit in room for hot evenings and no heating facilities in winter? Just a thought. 8 — treatments are overly priced! Put me off booking any! £49 for the cheapest massage and that’s just for a head massage. Overall I’m disappointed that EVERYTHING is overpriced for the type of experience advertised, as it wasn’t the wow factor as promised and so hyped about. £160 through secret escapes is far fetched as opposed to what you actually advertise on your website is equally unbelievable.

Really disappointed with Champneys and honestly puzzled as to how it is raved about so much and how it is rated so highly! There's nothing in the spa to do! Sauna and steam rooms very small and crowded. The relaxation/chill out room had beds in with duvets for you to use which looked like a squat! Who wants to get into a bed with a duvet that other people have chilled out/slept in? Was really shocked at that as it's un-hygienic and gross! Only thing to do was swim in the very cold pool or sit in the cold Jacuzzi (aren't they supposed to be warm like a bath? ) There was 8 of us altogether and not enough beds around the pool for us all either. 2 of the girls have never been to a spa day before and they have both said they won't go to another after their experience which is a shame! We spent most of the day sitting on a settee fully clothed chatting as there was nothing else to do! Only positive thing to say was that the lunch was delicious especially the stir fry.

Visited for the evening Spa with friends. Tried to order some. Drinks from. The snack bar but it took about 15 minutes to actually find staff and get served. Meal was nice, but they do this sneaky thing where you get a certain amount of the menu available to you in your package, but for the things you would actually like to eat you have to pay a surcharge. The place is very relaxing and all staff were lovely, but it needs some money spending in the decor ad its getting a bit tired. Shame as I'd visit much more if these things were addressed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my spa day today. It exceeded my expectations as I had read a number of the reviews. I found the staff friendly, polite and helpful. The facilities I used were well maintained. There was ample breakfast on arrival and plenty of choices at lunch. My only negative comment would be that the website is difficult to navigate. When I rang due to some confusion the person I spoke to was extremely helpful. I would return to Springs without a doubt.

Great gym and pool. Sauna is a little small. The lady that cleans called Eve is incredibly efficient, everything is immaculate.

Lovely ambience, friendly service, excellent facilities. Highly recommended. You will have to book in advance because rooms are in high demand.

Nice place to relax. Slightly overpriced for what it is now — needs to offer a little more of a spa environment such as different types of aromatherapy rooms and open the treatment pool up for use. Other than that, friendly staff and facilities that are there are nice to relax and exercise in.

I booked an overnight stay for my parents for their anniversary and my mums 70th birthday. I rang and booked it over the phone as I needed to make the resort aware of my dads health condition. I paid for the booking over the phone and received the payment confirmations for the room and the treatment I booked. I heard nothing else from the resort but wanted some information regarding what was included in the booking so I could give it to my parents to take on the day. I emailed the resort to ask for the information and received a brief but rude email back saying that I should have bought a gift voucher if I had wanted that information. Eventually I rang customer services who informed me that I should have received an email with all the booking details on it but it had bounced back as undeliverable as my email address had been put in incorrectly. Nearer the date we booked, my dad was unwell so I rang to change the booking but was told that any change to the booking would incur an amendment fee per person. As my dad is terminally ill, we knew that this would cost us too much if we had to keep changing the date. He decided to just go on the date booked but needed to be dropped off as he felt unable to drive. He rang the resort the day before and asked if they could have their free lunch on the arrival date as they would be there early. He was told that if he paid £25 per person for the buffet lunch, he could have it the day he arrived. My parents packed themselves a picnic.

Great couple of days. Excellent facilities with really helpful staff. Loads to do but also plenty of quiet spaces. Couldn't fault the room or the food. Will definitely return soon.

So close to being a luxury experience but 3 things hold it back: 1 — the hotel itself is tired and dated, needs some money spending on a renovation.
2 — it definitely could have been cleaner! We sat in reception to wait for our tour and there were giant cobwebs with spiders in the corners near the furniture, as if the cleaners hadn’t done a thorough job.
3 — half the staff were incredible, but were let down by the other half of the staff who were miserable and looked like they would rather be anywhere but there. Also worth mentioning that the spa facilities aren’t ideal for a couple, you can only really go in the pool together, or there is a tiny sauna which was full most of the time! And there were only 4 bikes for the whole resort!

Very very dated and overpriced. We had a discounted rate at it was about right for the visit and the quality of the hotel and service recieved. If we had paid full price we would have had a long chat at checkout. Good good and included, classes were all included but the Yoga. We thought we would try it as we had never dove it before but what a waste of money. Poorly led, confusing instructions and a class so busy that your mats were overlapping. Watch out for the random voluntary charges being added to your bill. All in all a good visit, the facilities were good, but get to the pool early for lockers and towels especially in the gents as they run out quickly and are slow to be replaced. Good but dated and decaying facilities.

I have visited several times for day spa experiences. Secluded location but actually conveniently close to the M42. Welcoming staff, nice breakfast and excellent healthy lunch options. Lovely big pool with sauna adjacent. Further sauna and steam room in changing areas. Good choice of classes throughout the day, well equipped gym. In good weather tennis is also an option. Good value treatments especially if booked as part of a package. Robe and flip flops provided. Free parking and Tesla charging points.

We have been staying at Springs for 20 years now and just love it.
Food is delicious, staff are very friendly and professional (especially Annette (duty manager) and Toni (Elemis) Dulcie (Therapist) and the treatments are just amazing.
We were in a superior room which are very large and comfortable a little TLC needed now but I believe there is an ongoing refurb so that’s to be expected.
Service charge and charitable donation was automatically added to the bill instead of being consulted prior to payment but it is well deserved so I didn’t mind.
Overall it was an amazing stay as always.

Lovely day with friends. Some great classes… thank you to the gym staff. Disappointed with service at lunch. One young waitress in particular needs to try to help rather than be so rude. Ironic we were asked to pay a service charge on departure. Not asked if we had enjoyed our day. Will possibly return. Hoar Cross maybe has the edge.

We had a really good time. Food is decent. Rooms are simple, but clean and tidy. For the money. This is a great place. The spa area is well equipped. The gym is well stocked and the treatments are good value.

I had a wonderful time e at Champneys Springs. Can highly recommend the full Declor full body and facial massage. The day was totally relaxing and chilled, just what the doctor ordered.

I nearly gave it 3 stars but think considering the price it was good value. The food was good, and service excellent. However, it could do with refreshing eg a mouldy grout in the bathroom and in some communal areas. A lot of the communal facilities are segregated by gender, so not as much for couples. Lots to do if you're willing to spend extra on treatments, same with the food — lots of opportunities to spend more! I enjoyed it but wouldn't go back.

Booked an overnight stay for myself and my husband. Our room was lovely and spacious. The gounds are beautiful with a country view. Dinner was a disappoint as we booked the last slot at 9pm, and they had run out of most of the mains, ended up with 3rd choice and didn't enjoy but when you're hungry not much you could do at that time of night. There are other meals available which have supplementary charges for dinner and for breakfast which are avaible at extra cost so be prepared also a £5 service charge for dinner which we didn't see till we saw the invoice, didn't mind paying but not clearly displayed so you're aware there is one. Pool and spa are lovely. There are many lovely treatments available. There are various classes and activities you can book. Basically you won't be bored as there is so much on offer. Would go back again.

Where do I start! The whole place is so beautiful! From the moment you enter the grounds you start feeling relaxed. The facilities are in good condition. The staff is lovely. We had the day package with two treatments. This included breakfast and lunch. The food was healthy which is exactly what I expected. Definitely worth the money.

Sorry I couldn’t rate more as the staff are all professional and friendly. We had a great room which was a suite with an adjoining double (4 ladies in my group). The breakfast and lunch are definitely up to scratch but the evening meal menu leaves a lot to be desired. It’s a new menu which is far too fussy and I can never understand how the foods that are unlimited at lunch then become “side orders” in the evening at an additional charge! The spa experience isn’t much better than a local pool and leaves much to be desired. The whole wet area is definitely in need of a total refurb although the thalassotherapy is great. The dining rooms had dead flowers on the tables and are in need of soft furnishings/decor improvements. I was cold in all public areas and noticed that most guests were snuggled under blankets or searching for blankets. A few guests were complaining amongst each other about the lack of heat and two guests were denied the fire being lit in the area where the red bricked chimney breast was — they ended up grabbing their bed throws to keep warm. I feel that the service and staff are indeed 5* but they are having to deal with lack of investment from Champneys who appear to be busy updating and purchasing more properties “down south”.

Decent place to spend a weekend. Pretty good if you want to exercise with decent gym and classes. Food is good and healthy. Could do with a re-vamp decor wise and check out a bit disorganised.

Spent an evening with my wife using the spa and restaurant. Found gym and pool modern and clean. However three course meal in restaurant was disappointing. Menu outside restaurant door showed extensive choice for veg and non veggies. However, once inside the table menu showed that many of the dishes attracted additional charges on top of what we had already paid. For example choice of steaks, black peppercorn sauce, vegetable side dishes (which I thought would be standard with a meal) and cheese board had extra charges ranging from £2.50 to £8.00 each. Oddly, only wine sold (expensive) and no beer or spirits. We found food bland and portions were small. We came away still hungry. Shall not be returning.

I stayed in room 79, the interlocking door with 80 was left unlocked, reception dealt with this issue efficiently. The bed was not great for me, a bit too soft and sagging in the middle. Breakfast was okay, healthy options as expected. The pool was good, there was some maintenance work in progress but did not effect the facilities. The pool temperature was perfect.

Have stayed twice while on business in the area. Unfortunately this time my train was delayed so arrived too late to take advantage of the pool and other facilities. However did have time for the very best filter stake I have ever had. So tender, cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth delicious.

Had a brilliant birthday weekend spent here, really relaxing and chilled out atmosphere and great spots to lounge around. The pool are is very clean and changing rooms are well kept, assistants are ready to help with clean towels and whatever you need. The grounds are nice and peaceful and get for an afternoon stroll after lunch. We had breakfast lunch and dinner included which was very very nice and well prepared, all I would say is at breakfast remember there is a menu to order cooked food rather than the continental buffet. All in all its a great place to get away and relax honestly feel like your in the middle of know where. Highly recommend the Champneys resorts.

Very disappointing. Evening meal menu, which is the same across the Chamneys resorts is not nice, bland and identical each evening. The best meal is breakfast. The instructions in the aqua classes were not clear and were drowned out by the loud modern music. I also feel that asking strangers to join on a woggle/noodle made me feel uncomfortable. Also rather disappointed in the "Head in the clouds" treatment as head massages as not at all effective on a bed. I have been given a gift voucher as a present. Why should I use it? I really don't feel like coming back to this company.

Had a delightful weekend, but cannot consider this place a spa. When we first arrived we went into the tiny jacuzzi (which would only fit 10-12 people in) and there was a pool fitness exercise class to the left of us. Not exactly what I wanted when I booked a 'spa weekend'. All the treatments however were fantastic, I'd go there again purely for a massage. The food was also fantastic, good selection and very tasty (if not a bit too healthy for me! ) The reception and booking out process could be improved so much more. It was slow and there was always problems with booking out. Some improvements to be made.

It's beautiful, stunning, cleaning and healthy. But I am not staying here in a spa trip I'm here on business. Internet is spotty, no air conditioned rooms. Food is my biggest gripe. No beer, no sugar, service is seriously lacking. You shouldn't have to wait twenty minutes for milk or butter. Waited an hour for my main course, salad was undressed, meat was cold, sweet potatoes burned the heck out of my mouth. Disappointed.

Lovely hotel and health spa. Picturesque setting. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. One strange point is the hotel does not have a bar. Emphasis must be on the health spa!

The thalassotherapy treatment is the highlight here. On a random note, Wi-Fi speeds are really good here.

We enjoyed our stay here veryt, but just after we changed our rooms. We got first a room which was so small and dated that we had to ask for another one. Luckily the new room was much nicer and really nice. From there on we enjoyed our treatments and used the time to relax.

Took my wife here for a birthday treat. Well she loved her stay and the treatments which were included in the price of the stay. I was disappointed with our room which was very basic (but the bed was comfortable). Staff were very customer focussed and friendly. It was expensive and overall not good value for money. I kept thinking a boutique hotel which offered treatments would of been cheaper and better. I just didn't like the dated eighties decor. It was clean but in my eyes needs a reburb to bring it into the current century.
