Great spacious room for wheelchair users.

Had a lovely dinner service was brilliant lovely and clean.

Lovely friendly service and food. Extremely clean.

We stayed at the Ramada Encore in Leicester for a night, initially the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon entering the room we noticed that a couple of the floor tiles in the shower area were loose and that the water from the shower could leak into the floor below.
After returning to our room after having a meal in Leicester, we settled down for the remainder of the evening, at approximately half five in the morning I was awoken by a dripping noise, I then noticed that some of the ceiling tiles were damp and the dripping noise became more consistent. I attempted to contact the reception to no avail, in the end I went to the reception and there was no reception staff there. Eventually someone turned up, I advised them of the issue and they said that they would get the manager to attend our room. No one arrived and we decided to leave the hotel at around eight thirty rather than the 11 book out. The reception staff asked if we'd enjoyed our stay to which I replied NO. After explaining the issues we'd encountered he stated that a manager would contact me to discuss the issue, that was approximately 36 hours ago. Still heard nothing!?

Budget hotel near Leicester City Centre and Athena, crowded reception, but as helpful as could be. Rooms sparse, cold rooms, with electric wall mounted heated, does warm room up quickly though, nice bathroom. Small bar, Buffett breakfast included and was basic but good enough. Staff keen to help.

Love it. This is my first time staying at a hotel by myself and I love it here.

An excellent value for money hotel, centrally located with good facilities and very kind, helpful staff. Our family room was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and the free wide choice of breakfast was delicious! Thank you.

Stayed 13th October 2018. Bed was very comfy and room was clean. Perfectly located for the curve theatre. Food in the restuarant was shockingly poor.

Really bad form and really overpriced! Booked a twin room. When we arrived the receptionist never uttered a word about the fact that they were putting us in a double, rather than twin room. Went down to complain and all he had to say was sorry. Sorry isn’t much use to me. Room itself is so basic. I’ve seen better conditions on a 90s ferry.

I didn't stay in the rooms however I visited a friend during stay. Decor modern. Good atmosphere and location.

Terrible experience — booked for 2 adults and 2 children, checked in fine, then no beds for the children! When asked at reception, was very rudely told that irrespective of what it said on my booking confirmation, that it would be 15 pounds extra if I wanted my children to have a bed! I was completely shocked. After speaking to the manager, he was adamant that is system said there were only 2 guests — so that was the end of it — 15 pounds extra or its my kids on the floor with no bedding. Absolutely appalled and will never stay in a Ramada hotel again.

Nice rooms with plenty of space. The food was particularly breakfast was very very good, and is not worth missing. The main stair case was new and original. It was situated in a good area, with a shop directly opposite. The only draw back was that the noise of the city life at night was very loud and made it hard to go to sleep.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip, nice clean hotel, rooms very pleasant with a walk-in shower, clean and spacious. The hotel has a nice fitness studio in the basement, and the breakfast was good. The hotel has limited parking, but there is a parking facility nearby with discount rates for hotel users, but you need to arrange with the hotel before arrival, alternatively you will need to park in a nearby street (like I did) and walk in. I will stay here again.

Great location, smart clean rooms and friendly and professional staff. Modern decor with great facilities. Parking is discounted at halford street multi storey car park which is very close by. Just ask at reception to get your ticket validated. Breakfast is of very high quality and an extensive range of options, catering for all tastes. Very enjoyable stay, I would highly recommend staying here.

Good hotel and services, slow service on arrival due to being busy and low on staff. Good buffet breakfast. Comfy beds and good sized bathroom. Noise from the city centre wasn't blocked out by the Windows, so slightly louder night than expected. Expensive hotel bar, but always expected in the city centre.

Nice hotel for a weekend stay. Location is great. Shame no on site parking but the ncp is literally a stone's throw away. And you get a discounted rate. Lovely rooms. Had the twin room with 2 single beds. Only 2 things that stop this being a 5 star review. The beds were way too soft! Felt like I was sleeping on jelly and the noise outside can be quite loud inside. Even though we were on the 6th floor (1 below the top) and the window was closed. Breakfast was really good with all branded items. Only thing that let it down was the cranberry juice. Tasted more like cranberry cordial and was really watery.

Spacious and modern rooms, pretty good overall, the only thing I missed was a small fridge in the room.

The hotel is at very good place in town. Very nice and clean. I tried the coffee but wasn't very good. Very quiet.

Disappointed in my experience. The room and prices are fine and what you'd expect for a 3 star business hotel. Nothing amazing, nothing terrible. I'm disappointed in the staff and their lack of attentiveness or even effort. Multiple times during my stay I tried to speak to the front counter and every time, no matter the employee, the service was bad. As if I was bothering them with my queries. In addition they lost laundry for myself and multiple colleagues. If budget is your only concern, go for it. If not, look elsewhere. Also something I've never seen before. As I work evenings I have slept in during the morning. The staff leave plastic bags with fresh TP and towels, it's sweet, but feels extremely budget.

Very pleasant stay. Breakfast was very nice, a good choice of different foods. Very spacious room for the price. Would visit again.

No storage for stoppering or wardrobe food ok.

The location was perfect as we had our son's wedding at the Athina hall. Shops and salons and eateries are all in the area and we made the most of it and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Expensive for a budget-standard hotel. Nobody picks up calls to reception (and I made 4 calls) so guests have to go downstairs to request an iron and board, which should have been in the room for a £196 per night rate. Underwhelming.

Great location, five mins walk from the station. Clean and comfortable rooms and good value for money. Recommended for everyday business travellers or even those visiting the city for a quick visit.

Have stayed at this hotel several times and never disappointed. Extremely friendly staff and always happy to help. Good selection of Breakfast and Dinner choices and Wi-Fi is decent. Hotel is surrounded by plenty of places to eat.

Room on the 7th floor was a bit noisy. Otherwise, okay.

The food wasn't bad, rooms were quite nice, shower is amazing! There was a really friendly waiter who did a top job and joined some of the jokes I'm not 100% but I think he's name was Stephen or something with an s.

Ramada Encore is a decent hotel with good services. The rooms are big enough but the toilets are tiny and do not offer all the toletries. Breakfast was good and had adequate options.

Nice clean rooms. Great staff very helpful. It has a gym witch is open from from 6am so very good for people who want to keep in shape, whilst on a buisness trip. Very close to the town centre and has a great atmosphere. Sadly the food is bad. Like really bad. I orderd almost everything on the menu during my stay. And most of the food is frozen and microwaved and is obvious it is the taste. If you are staying here then do yourself a favour and eat out.

Used the Cafe/bar. Team are very polite giving fantastic service! Hot Chocolate is amazing!

I found the hotel location ideal, a couple of minutes walk to the town centre and shopping centres, also a 10 mins walk to train station. the rooms were clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only complaint I would have would be the prices of food and limited options but the food itself was excellent.

Smart, clean with good professional service. Good sized rooms with excellent facilities. Ideal choice for overnight business trips.

Not amazing but not an outright no either as you might like it. Beds were too soft for my liking and the food isn't amazing however for a quick fix it did the job. Gym was good looks like a recent refurb and dumbbells go up to 20's.

Met a colleague in the public area; very comfortable and staff were really nice. Made to feel very welcome; assuming the hotel is a pleasant experience too.

Really nice hotel never stayed in an Encore before. Room was large & clean. Even had a mirror with a plug by it! Only negative for me was my room backed on to the cultureral quarter & it was Freshers week so very noisy at 3:30 am! Would stay again & hope that the students have spent all of their money. Great central location. There is a Prets & a Tesco just down the road.

Very nice room, lovely view and helpful staff. There is a need for a fridge, iron and ironing board in the room though.

The rooms are nice and tidy, I would like the option of a bath. The Wi-Fi was terrible and prevented me from working in my room.

Fantastic hotel! All staff we spoke with were very helpful and friendly, food was delicious and the room was lovely, clean and has everything you need. Location is great as based in the town centre so lots of shops and places to eat everywhere, all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is in a good city centre location. Parking is close by thought tricky to find. Our room was good but in the middle of renovation so the bathroom had one rough wall (room 301). Staff member was a little slow to attend at start, looking at mobile phone. Generally though a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Had to stay here the night thanks to Storm Doris! The reception/bar staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was nice enough, the noise from the streets outside was quite loud at times even on the 4th floor and the fire alarm went off at midnight which gave me a shock before it stopped again! The food in the restaurant was good. I can't really fault anything other than the fire alarm waking me up! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Stayed for one night staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, room lovely clean and well presented, food beautiful presented and tasty I would stay again if I'm ever in Leicester.

Everything was good. Location was two blocks from Athena where we were attending a wedding. The only complaint is that the breakfast wasn't very good.

Nice location, near to a car park (with subsidised overnight rate) and plenty of choice in the nearby city centre for eating out. Rooms generally comfortable and have what you need.

All or nothing… that's what you get from the air con. It's either red hot or freezing cold, but should you happen to stay when the weather in barmy Leicester is 'just so' then this place is hard to fault. Nice rooms, fantastic showers and very friendly staff.

I am an Assessor and Facilitator in Hospitality. I have been part of the Grading council in SA and have been doing this for 12 years. My experience with Ramada Encore on Monday night 1st of September 2014 was shocking and atrocious. I booked in just after 8pm, had a long journey and just wanted to relax. When I started unpacking I saw some hair on the red sofa, not just one or 2, as some people do loose hair. It looked like someone literally shave or had a hair cut. The chair was full of hair as well. It varied from short to long. When I called to complain about it, I was told they were fully booked and could not move me. That was it. No proper apology or we will send up housekeeping, nothing. I had to sleep in a room that was used as a hair salon. (I do have photo's) After unpacking I went down stairs to get something to eat in the restaurant and were shown away. I was told the kitchen ran out of food! The excuse were "We had big tables tonight". This was at 8h45. This is unacceptable for a hotel of such a magnitude. The hotel knew we were coming for a conference and not to be prepared for us is totally unacceptable! If this is the standard that the hotel allows then I will ensure we will take our business somewhere else. JO de Lange.
