Too noisy, the window couldn't be closed and you can hear people talking while you were sleeping. The bed is too soft and pillows are too big/high, so uncomfortable and couldn't sleep all night. Nice staffs though.

Shower was changing temperature from cold to cooking hot and back every few seconds. Had to take care not to get burned. The matrasse is too old and too soft. We had so big pains of. You can listen to your neighbours talking in the next room. Very loud! No a/c and even no fan inside the room so it was so hot inside. Not worthy! We will never come back!

This is an average hotel at average cost. Location is ok if you need access to city centre, but terrible for your sleep if your window faces the main street. Furnishings are average and a bit outdated. Staff are great, helpful as much as they can. Breakfast was ok. I wouldn't book it again though.

A clean hotel but food took almost a hour each night… So the last two evening's we went elsewhere to a local restaurant and really enjoyed, this hotel has two veggie dishes and nothing vegan…

Room was ok, but there wasn't any air conditioning. The Wi-Fi is free but only for 20 mins a day and have to pay in order to use for longer and for more than one device. The staff were great, they were nice and welcoming.

No bed electrical sockets, old bathroom fittings, no 24 hour bar or room service, expensive for quality and service provided, yet another "hotel" for female callers.

Nice, clean, and comfortable. The service is as good as any other chain hotel, and their food is good too.

The Hotel is very nice, the rooms are cheap. The location is near the city centre and it has a parking area. The staff is very friendly.

It was ok if your going there for a night out the location is great. If your going for business then not the best place u can hear the music from the club's may keep u awake. But if u get a room facing away from town u might not hear anything. Room was small but clean beds could of been more comfortable I had a twin room.

Clean comfortable rooms, warm with good showers, really good value for money, 24hr reception.

Would never visit this again. Cheap dirty mould in bathroom broken bed moody receptionist and bar staff. Sort of place you'd stay in if you were a contractor and just wanted to get your head down. You've been warned.

We've sent customers here as there located nearby and have good offers on throughout the year. Staff are friendly and helpful and It's a very clean hotel rooms and has good food selection from the feedback we've received. They have a bar that's open until late and parking facilities onsite. Overall a well located and non expensive hotel a stoned throw away from Leicester city centre.

This hotel is fantastic value for money! Only 10 mins walk from the city centre, it's central enough without all the noise, hustle and bustle. The rooms are very clean and functional, offering free Wi-Fi and free view TV channels. There is a restaurant available should you choose to eat there rather than venture into the city centre. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and the parking is free.

Very clean, staff great couldn't do enough for us. Night porter again was great helped us when ever possible.

I did not sleep well because of the noise from the traffic through the window. If you can sort it out or have double thick glazing window that does not allow noise from outside to disturb our peaceful sleep.

Bed a bit springy, room hot even with radiator turned right down. Shower tray slow to drain. Staff friendly and helpful.

Was not expecting much but was very surprised. Very clean and extremely nice staff. Very good value and is within walking distance of the city centre.

Great hotel for an overnight stay, only a 10 minute taxi into town. Room had a good TV with coffee and tea provisions. Cardboard cups only and no glasses however this did not bother me. The continental style breakfast is free, well no one is checking. However hot breakfast is served very small no buffet style and you need a voucher. There was only one of each item, fried egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, beans and mushroom. The breakfast voucher is £8.75 and not worth it! I would save cash and eat somewhere else! Staff were lovely and helpful, just a shame about the daylight robbery going on with the breakfast.

Decent location just outside the city centre on the ring road. One of the biggest pluses of the Campanile Leicester is the free secure parking at no extra cost. This is a pretty basic hotel, as you would expect from the price, but it always clean with friendly staff. I have stayed here numerous times over the years and never had a bad experience.

Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom needs updating. Will stay there again. Room was on car park side so quieter than the road side.

The room was dirty. Beds we so thin could feel the mattress springs. Blankets were so thin it was cold. Pillows were dirty with strains on them without pillow case covers. Bathrooms was dirty we could not even shower the next morning because of the state of the bathrooms. Floor was sticky and dirty like night club floors. Overall the room was awful. I will never book it again and I will never recommend it.

It was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The sink was blocked and had previous person's stubble in it, the bed was small and uncomfortable, the toilet paper was cheapest on the market and believe it or not there was only 1 plug socket in the room. I would not recommend this hotel. On the positive note the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Spent two nights there this weekend only reason me and my husband stay here is because it's convenient to the 147 pool club sorry to say after stayingetting here this time being convenient wont come into it our double room was like a single room with a double bed in it it was so small. You now get paper cups for your coffee or tea instead of proper cups and saucers. For what you pay gorgeous the rooms you should at least get free Wi-Fi. We paid 147 for two nights and for some reason all the room prices were different some of our groups of friends paid more or less than us. Its a joke. Belmont hotel much nicer.

Clean but double bed a bit narrow and bouncy. Bacon at breakfast was a bit burnt and sausages weren't the best. Other than that, it's a cheap place to stay the night.

Nice atmosphere however we did have to wait several minutes to be served when it was quiet.

Cheap and cheerful but skimps on some basic essentials. E. G. Bar staff! Had to go find somebody to serve the queue! Bedroom ok but horrible (cigarette? ) burns in table top and never repaired or replaced (see photo). Two non-recyclable plastic lined paper drinks cups in the room are environmentally unacceptable (especially for a hotel telling us in printed material how green they are). No cups in bathroom so aforementioned paper cups had to be washed up for overnight bedside water. No British beer on sale in bar. "We are a French company" said bar person. Me: "This is Leicester, not Paris". Bar person: We only serve French products". So the "Fish finger butties" on the bar menu are a French delicacy are they? Hotel also quite noisy from adjacent flyover.

Lovely and clean. Very hot. If you open the window it's too noisy because of the road. A pleasant one night stay. Needs air conditioning and would be perfect for the price. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean but no bath towels only small hand towels in ours. Road very busy and seemed to be popular with contractors with two car parking spaces taken with a lot of white vans. Found it very hard to find a parking space. Very boisterous workmen but friendly atmosphere. Bar was not attended by staff so had to wait for a drink. No seats as they were all taken by contractors. Would not recommend to visitors for the university. English seems to be a second language but passable. Very friendly staff though.

Location a little way from town centre. Reception staff great. Rooms very basic. We didn't try restaurant but overheard that they had sold out of a lot of food even though they weren't busy. Alice looked after us really well and deserves a mention.

Awful place. 130 quid was a disgusting price to charge for this awful place. The carpet was sticky, the bathroom was mouldy and dirty tiles. The bedding was clean but very tired looking. Place needs a good clean and updating, that includes the staff! Why did we stay, because we couldn't find anywhere else available as there was quite a few functions in Leicester and no availability. They saw us coming!

Absolute s### hole, first vist the spare bed was still made up, my God I'm not kidding I could not even walk in the room, it was side shuffling. Curtains hanging off. Small. Grimy, dirty. Had to stay there a second time as everywhere else booked up. Omg, it's rough, small, yuk. The premier inns eyc etc are a palace compared to this place.

Very nice hotel. Nothing too special but perfectly suited to a basic stay. Clean room, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

The staff were great, and it had all the right amenities. However I slept very poorly due to how hot the room was, and the fact that keeping the window open meant the noise from the dual carriageway outside was often overbearing. The rooms were in a fairly poor decorative state too, and the mattress could probably do with replacing. For the prices it's fine, so long as you're not in a room facing the busy road!

Room small and very hot Staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast very nice, lots of choice. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Facilities — tidy room but needs a good scrub and updating. Carpets need vacuuming, a lot. Bed very uncomfortable and noisy. Good TV with freeview but no free Wi-Fi. Kettle with assorted coffee and breakfast tea but no herbal teas freely available. Breakfast very expensive not worth it. Environment — room is spacious and bright but window and door lets all the noise in. Very poor soundproofing. Room was very warm but manageable. Bathroom large, but poor lighting and bathtub and sink have slow drainage. Location — close to centre of Leicester, many shops nearby. Immediate neighbourhood can be intimidating but workable. Staff — lovely. Changed my room to a quieter one on request. Cleaners I'm not so sure. When I got to my room on check in she was still tidying up but on her mobile phone.

After reading some of the reviews we wondered what we were going to find… we were very pleasantly surprised. All staff were very friendly… the rooms were clean and bright… we ate in the hotel in the evening, whilst it wasn't cordon bleu it was good tasty food,,, the whole experience was good value for money.

Room was falling apart cracks in the wall, screws where there used to be pictures and the door wouldn't shut properly but the staff are lovely and the breakfast was delicious.

I could feel every individual spring in the mattress, not a comfortable sleep at all. Very small cramped rooms. Bareable if you need somewhere quick to sleep, avoid like the plague if you want a hotel.

I visit leicester once every 2-3 months and recently have always chosen campanile because the rooms are well worth the money and so is everything else. Close to city centre as well. Loads more worth it than the premier inn. Great staff as well. Very satisfied.

Only stayed one night as we had travelled from nottingham to see motorhead/saxon at the de montfort hall. Nice rooms, warm, clean, fresh. Comfy double bed. Big bath. Although near a main road the room was quiet. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Restaurant/bar very nice. All in all a top hotel. Give it a go. Oh yes prices very good as well.
