Second time we have stayed here, both times there have been no problems. Travelled with two dogs and all the staff appear to be very dog friendly. Nice pub (Phantom Winger) next door, very good menu at a good price. Recommended.

It's a decent place to stay the night. Much like any other motorway motel… Breakfast was decent and all you can eat. Was booked in a double room, but our child came along at the last minute, and the hotel. Was more than happy for us to bring an air mattress for the room.

Stayed here Christmas 2017. The staff were very polite and the room clean but in need of some minor repairs. The 'all you can eat' breakfast' was absolutely vile. So much so that I left and went to the nearest Macdonald's to have a coffee so that I could clear the taste of greasy bacon and cheap burnt sausages out of my mouth. The mushrooms (? ) were strangely hideous, looking like a dark, slimy mush — probably tinned reheated a dozen times. It is a budget hotel and there was a so-called 'continental' option that looked ok, but one can't expect much from rectangular stainless steel tureens that had to be 'restirred' to remove the sticky, revolting deposits from the sides.

Rooms and hotel overall is very basic, in need of a facelift. Walls in the hallway had been filled where something was removed but poorly repaired. Bathroom door was split and lighting in the room was dim at best. Room was cold (although that suits me fine) and fire doors in the hallways slammed themselves shut rather than closing softly which became irritating during the night. Staff were pleasent and helpfull and booking in was very quick, plenty of parking and food was good.

Have just had a smashing night staying here. Staff were really friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived. Our bed was very comfortable and the room well laid out. Breakfast was hot and plenty of it. Well done. Will definitely return.

We enjoyed our brief stay here. It is conveniently close to the motorway but we did not find it noisy at night. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was available but we were in a hurry to press on with our journey. There is a bar, with a range of drinks, should you wish to enjoy them. Staff were welcoming, helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Stayed here as a stop off for The Lakes. We wasn't expecting much as we just needed a bed for a night but my was I surprised. The decor was stylish and modern, the room was a nice size, shower was great! Not like many hotels where you have to mess about to get it right. I advise going for the breakfast, it's lovely! More importantly the bed was comfy… almost too comfy.

Lovely hotel for a stop over, clean, the staff are lovely, so helpful and friendly. We had the dogs with us and they were all brilliant in accommodating our needs.

Their service was excellent. The breakfast was really satisfactory because there are different varieties of food to eat and drink. It was serve yourself.

Easy access from M6, comfortable room, friendly staff, great value for money, what's not to like!

Really lovely hotel with a good atmosphere and very clean. Special thanks to David the night manager who was so accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was very tasty too, good selection.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, wasn't expecting much for a hotel at the cheaper end of the spectrum. Efficient and really friendly check-in, even at 1am. Basic but clean and comfortable room. Even though window looked out to M6/M55 slip roads, could barely hear it (triple glazed). Even a steam iron available from reception rather than a cheap non-steam one you often get in more expensive hotels. Breakfast was available from 6.30 but was there when I went down earlier. A good selection including cooked items plus a real toaster rather than a conveyer belt one!

Great location and value. Friendly staff and comfortable sleep with many pubs, shops and restaurants near by, plus right next to motorway.

Wish this place would get its act together. Some days it's a book in time if 9 and out by six others it's ten and out by five. Otherwise comfy sleep.

Hotel itself was OK. The hotel had everything you might need, and the breakfast was decent too. A few problems: the bathroom was that idiotic half glass style, so that when you take a shower you splash everywhere. Also we had booked a room with 2 beds — in the picture, it showed TWO legitimate beds (and we confirmed this on the phone). When we got there the second bed was a roll away from the sofa. It was possibly the worst makeshift bed I have ever had to sleep on. You'd be better bringing a sleeping bag and sleeping on the floor. Also, finding the place is impossible because you can see it from the freeway, but there are no signs telling you where it actually is so you get lost in the maze basically.

Not a bad place, there was some noise and our room smelled like someone had been smoking in there. We did mention it to the staff and they promised action but we didn't get a response after they checked it out.

Nice, clean, spacious rooms. Could do with separate dining area but every over all an enjoyable stay. Easy Wi-Fi access.

Can;'t fault the hotel. Met all our needs. The breakfast was a little pricey for a buffet breakfast. The pub next door offered a full breakfast far cheaper.

Positives — a star each for great location and fantastic staff, who dealt with complaints and difficult guests with the utmost professionalism. Negatives — many loud, inconsiderate groups of guests returning at all times of the night and early morning. Constant yelling, whooping, banging on doors. Avoid any room near/above the hotel entrance where they congregate outside to smoke and chat (yell at each other), rolling drunkenly out of taxis from midnight to 5am. Had to change rooms for the next (Saturday) night, but there was a party in the neighbouring room from 7pm with loud music and many people running around the corridors and yelling. Fire alarm set off by smokers 6am Sunday morning, so gave up any hope of sleep and emerged bleary-eyed after two completely ruined nights. It seems unfair to blame the hotel for its guests, and it is a basic, clean and convenient place to stay, but at the end of the day the weekend was ruined, and will never stay there again.

Good shower, friendly staff. That's it. Rooms are "tired" and grotty. Beds not comfortable and the breakfast is pretty poor for the price of it. Next time I need to stay anywhere like this I'll spend the small extra and go to premier inn.

Good comfy bed, well equipped room, good food but best of all the staff have been excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to everybody.

Good location just off the M6. Decent size rooms that are well appointed and clean. Nice informal atmosphere with cheery helpful staff. Good value for money, good available 24 hours if needed.

Reception very efficient. Room generally clean and well prepared. Carpet looked dirty but may have been the pattern? Plug on sink not fitting properly. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Will use again.

Its clean its cheap and cheerful as you would expect. Stayed here a couple of times staff are really friendly. Good location and there is places to eat and drink next door.

Friendly and helpful staff, hence the 3* and not a 1*. The whole hotel seemed Reasonably clean and my room was equipped quite good (although my heater unit was hanging off the wall). Breakfast was pretty bad. Bacon was basically hot laminate flooring shards, Bread for toasting, but no toaster? Rubber sausages and some jars of stuff (think it may have been yogurt but nothing to confirm that assumption. Hungry Horse pub next door. We ate there and it was pretty cheap but nothing special. My steak from the mixed grill was someones bike tyre (everyone at the table had a bit to try and chew which was fun, couldn't be bothered to send it back as this was more fun.

Good clean hotel, basic but meets the requirements of somebody who wants a room as a base. Reasonable breakfast selection. Rooms looking into the M55 can be a little noise.

Perfectly fine; exactly as expected of an Ibis hotel. The room was clean and comfy and the staff helpful. Also a good hotel breakfast.

Comfortable and convenient. Rooms are modern and comfortable, plenty of pillows which is a bonus. Didn't sample the breakfast but I hear it's fine.

Very poor check in experience, room floor was dirty with splits in the stained carpet. Asked for a room change more inline with our booking and begrudgingly the room was changed with a lot of belligerence, both rooms smelt, 2 stars for the decent shower pressure.

Comfy beds but the room and ensuite stunk of fish. Had to get some febreeze : — (.

Very friendly staff very clean and comfortable rooms would definitely stay there again 9/10 overall.

Stayed one night Friday 03/08/2012 found it to be clean with helpful staff, 15 min from Blackpool worth a look.
