Good Covid experience. One way system in place. Room service. Clean, comfy rooms. What’s not to like!

Our experience was super great. Gideon at the reception who check us in was amazing if that’s her name. Food was good, room was awesome and the atmosphere was great. Will go back anytime.

Since the Covid we have been unable to use swimming pool facilities due to staff failing/forgetting to put us on the list. After arrival and complaint the hotel staff blamed the heath and fitness center and haven't tried to sort things out. They assured me that I will gat an email/phonecall from the Health and fitness team on Monday which has never happened.
Very disappointed with both the hotel and the health center. Will never book the hotel there. I was very happy with Hilton hotels but this left me with huge disappointment.

Absolutely disgusted. No first aid staff in the swimming pool. Not offered any first aid, just a bit of tissue. Now taking my daughter to hospital for stitches in her knee. Hotel was happy for her t get back in the pool, only when I made a complaint the hotel manager showed me she was first aid and gave me a wipe and plaster! No one in the pool area trained. I will update further when I get out the hospital with my 10 year old daughter. Worse service ever received. Room was also filthy. I wouldn’t advise anyone to swim in the pool, it must be riddled with germs. Uninterested in writing an accident report form, it was only when I complained and said I will take this further and asked about a form that they then decided they should follow protocol, however was not interested in doing this beforehand. Manager was only called not because my daughter was injured but because my son was in the hot tub! For a Hilton hotel, I just say, I’ve stayed in a travel lodge and had a 1000% better service!

Thank you To all the staff at The Hilton Functions last night. I was the organiser for a party of 32 who attended our Christmas party. What a night. Delicious food, beautifully decorated venue and great atmosphere.

Lovely hotel. Very clean.
The comfiest bed! did not want to get out of it, slept like a baby. Lovely pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym etc. Enjoyed staying here, all staff so friendly. Would highly recommend. Beautiful breakfast too, everything you could imagine on offer for breakfast.

Nice spot, friendly staff. Sadly no marmalade at breakfast as poor stock control and reordering in place. Tip: Set new minimum levels. There’s a huge destination branch of Next right next to the hotel. Without question the best we’ve seen anywhere. You can shop and browse here for hours. Also Costa, Paperchase and Virgin Holidays In-store. We discovered that the Hilton restaurant and bars take TasteCard. This will give you a generous 2 for 1 discount on food (some restrictions apply)

Utter rip off for what's on offer. Had I have known the village chain were in that area would have certainly used them instead, they offer so much more in return compared to the Hilton god even travel lodge can do better.

Husband surprised me for my birthday as we wanted to explore the surrounding area. The hotel lobby was clean, modern and large. Breakfast was pretty spot on and hot. It was a bonus that they serve you orange juice on arrival, something my husband usually has to ask for. The sausages were particularly nice. Our room was a slight let down for the price. The pillows were very soft which wasn't so bad for me as I dont mind it, although sitting up to read wasn't easy. Hubby hates soft pillows so wasn't so great for him, but bearable. The TV doesn't swing round enough to face the bed so we had to manually move it ourselves. The t. V. Itself is good quality and modern but the rest of the room could do with modernisation, in particular the shower is pretty old school considering we were staying in a luxury hotel, and the water pressure needs to be adjusted so the hot isn't scalding! Also there is no air con unit that swings to hot or cold, it's either fans or a storage heater. My husband asked for a quiet room with a good view. We got the good view if the garden, but the noise level was pretty high and this isn't high season. They did go to extra lengths as it was my birthday and on my husband's request left a lovely cake and chocolate on our arrival. I was disappointed to be told we wouldn't get robe and slippers in our room as we didn't have a deluxe room? My husband booked me in for a massage, she used a very odd technique.

Stayed here on route to Dover ferry port as we needed to break our journey up. The hotel is just off the M20 and easy to find. We stayed in a family room which was clean, spacious and had tea/coffee making facilities. As is usual with Hilton hotels, staff are courteous and helpful. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but there is an excellent array of breakfast options on offer in the morning. There is a pool, sauna and jacuzzi available to use which adds to the stay. There is also a fitness suite (think this might be at an additional cost? ). While there is on site parking you do have to pay for it which I always find a bit irritating in any hotel. Overall, though, very happy with the stay.

Can't fault it. Nice big clean room, helpful staff and a great breakfast. This will now be our hotel of choice when stopping over on our way to Europe.

Great good evening meal and breakfast is a killer. Room a little aging but clean. Too bad to have to pay for the extra parking.

The hotel is nice but we were there during the heat wave. Since they don't usually have 90+ degree weather, there is no air conditioning in the room. This did make our stay less pleasant. They also lost a star because we requested a fan which we never received. It is about 2.7 miles from the train station so the ride cab from the hotel is about 7£. The restaurant staff is very helpful and accommodating. Bearsted is about 1.7 miles and has two very good restaurants. This place is worth a try but not during a heatwave.

Stayed in room 216 last night, 19/07/18, and found the room extremely large, comfortable and clean. Bathroom was also spacious and modern and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The only complaint was breakfast. Awful cooked breakfast kept in them horrible trays. Everything was Bland, tasteless and dry and my wife ended up just having some fruit. Drinks machine was also empty but that was being replenished when we left the restaurant. The hotel has removed the price of our breakfast since we mentioned it. Would I stay here again? Yes but I'd avoid the breakfast and head to a local Cafe.

My favourite hotel when visiting London. The hotel is in Maidstone and takes arou d 45 minutes to get to and from Central London (outside of rush hour). The rooms are extremely pleasant and large, I don't believe they have A/C but they do provide fans, however I've never been so warm that I'd need to use one. The breakfast is as most Hilton's however the evening menu is really good. They have a bar and cafe area as well as an outside seating area which are nice on warm days. There is also a pool and gym, although every Hilton I've been to has a fitness room this has by far one of the best training rooms so far. Parking is generally charged per day at this hotel but at the same time I've always been able to find a space. Staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to resolve any issues.

Booked two rooms for myself and my husband and my mum and my son for my husbands 40th Birthday night in Maidstone. Room 174 a twin was a lovely room that my mother and son shared. My husband and I went to room 259 and when we entered the room hadn’t been made up from the last guests. We went to reception and was offered room 255. I couldn’t stay in this room for mould around the windows and a low immune system. (I took a picture too) My husband went back to reception and we were offered the original room 259 and a complementary drink voucher. The beds are so uncomfortable and creaky we barely slept! Such a shame because its a quiet hotel in a good location but seriously needs the rooms/beds in the second floor rooms updated. For a 4 star hotel it did put a dampener on my Husbands special occasion. If totally honest Premier Inn would have been a better stay.

We went for a wedding and had a fantastic stay. The room was lovely, breakfast fantastic and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. And my friends' wedding was superb with brilliant service. My only critique is the rooms and main areas were very hot. I would expect a Hilton to have air conditioning (thankfully the wedding reception room did). But let's face it, we live in Britain, this is rarely a problem.

The Hotel was very clean, and well presented. Room was also of the same high standard. However not the same can be said for all the staff. My 5 stars are to reflect the Hotel, Room, and the staff that represented the hotel as you would expect.

Attended a university event there, great tea, coffee and cake! Lovely conference room, very clean and well decorated. Recommend.

Service is good, however its £105 per night and they've got children's public swimming classes in the pool on both Friday evening and Saturday morning. Nothing against kids but the constant screaming doesn't exactly make for the relaxing spa area it used to be…

Stayed in a family room. 2 double beds. Good sized room. With tea coffee making facilities. Big area at entrance to sit and relax. Cafe, bar and restaurant. Great swimming pool with Jacuzzi and sauna. Had a lovely stay.

Got a free upgrade, but very disappointed as it was the first time myself and my wife had been away from the kids for 21 years.! Staff friendly and the breakfast was very good. BUT room 158 was very date and in need of a overhaul. Chipped bathroom floor and taps without tops. Oil stains on the curtains and a very worn carpet. Very disappointed. The room spoilt our stay.

Attended a family gathering. Catering of sandwiches and cakes was nice. Staff polite. Hotel nice and clean. In an unusual location next to a shopping village.

We had dinner with friends who were staying at the hotel. Their room was acceptable but the food in the restaurant was sadly very overpriced for the quality. Two of us had the chilli which was actually very tasty but you could hardly see any bits of beef and it was mostly sauce and beans and for £17.50 this is simply not acceptable. The other two had the beef and ale pie. Well quite frankly the way it was presented was a joke. Pie on a large round plate, chips in one of those mini wire chip pan frying things, mushy peas (which were far too runny) in a small white bowl and a white jug of gravy all on the same plate — I'm all for presenting food in unusual ways but this was just too much and simply looked overcrowded and again the dish was way overpriced and the pie not particularly tasty. Unfortunately I would never recommend this restaurant and will obviously not be eating there again. Come Hilton you can do much better than this.

We were the only diners for Sunday lunch. They had very kindly prepared a vegan dish for my son. The turkey was lovely but the beef overcooked and dry. The cauliflower/broccoli cheese was delicious and the roast potatoes excellent. I felt sad that they had to go for so much trouble for us as we would have been ok in the bar. It is a very convenient place to meet with my mother just off the motorway. Perhaps it will get busier later in the year.

It's a place I stay every time I go to Maidstone. Decent rooms and okay service. The staff in restaurant forget what you ask them for, especially in the evening. Very poor choice of beer. The health centre is good, although they don't have a barbell. Swimming pool okay and a good sauna.

Location: Spacious with lobby rooms: 2 beds One armchair (which can be converted into a bed) and a desk and a skipping service a can slow but impeccable.

Comfortable stay in a splendid environment. Made good use of the pool and spa. Definitely recommend the restaurant as everything we ordered from the menu was cooked to perfection. All that plus the exceptionally helpful staff made our time here immensely enjoyable.

Very Friendly staff, attentive, rooms very spacious, breakfast very good lots of choice and well stocked. Love their idea of £5 voucher to use in the bar if you don't want your room to be cleaned daily. Refurbished Gym and saunas were great, swimming pool looks the same as our last visit few year's ago, warm and great for kids. Only qualm is the rooms need investment.

Creaky bed. Dated room. Definitely not the one in the pictures. Too tired to ask to swap. Ground floor at the end of a long corridor. Felt like a motel with the traffic outside. Having to pay for Wi-Fi in a hotel is pretty unreasonable too. Mentioned it at check out and it’s free if you’re a member?! Pros: Food was good. Staff in bar / breakfast area were very nice.

Arrived for my works Xmas dinner as was staying in hotel. Went to use the bath and the shower came on so got soaked. Phoned reception and someone came straight away could not fix it suggested I run the bath from the shower or have a wash. I asked if another room was available and this was dealt with quickly. Food was lovely. Was kept awake most of the night as bed was very creaky. Did inform staff in morning who found it helpful that someone told them.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Bar area was functional and slightly uninviting compared to the reception area and restaurant, yet people seemed to be drawn there. Pool and leisure centre was a bit disappointing due to current changing room maintenance, not to mention my poor decision to attempt to use the pool during kids swimming lessons, best avoided. I was chuffed with my 'guest of the day' accolade which covered the cost of my first drink in the bar, thank you kindly.

Just dropped in for a coffee and a piece of cake while waiting for the car to charge. Coffee bar closed so ordered from the dining area behind. Nice friendly greeting but choice of cakes rather poor. Coffee served in a mug/cup minus handle so had to ask for paper serviettes in order to be able to pick it up. Nice looking place but major attention to detail needed.

Came here as it was midpoint to Dover. Needs renovation or a major updating. The chlorine smell permeated the whole hallway and our rooms. The staff are very attentive at check in. The bar staff can use some coffee or something as they were almost comatose. Finally one young lady came in and had to do the work of the other 2. The breakfast buffet is well stocked and fresh.

Great place and great staff. Couldn't do enough for you. Room was spot on and spacious and the kids loved the pool. Would definitely recommend it.

Very nice and large room but I think the noise insulation is lacking a bit. The staff throughout the hotel are nice and helpful. The gym is small but had most things you'll need. Nice pool area, sauna is good, steam room not working properly. Nice breakfast and pleasant staff. Schools breaks so lots of kids, some parents allowed their kids to do what they want. A wedding group were pretty poorly behaved. Hotel can't really mitigate for that and they didn't cause too much disruption. An entirely decent and pleasant hotel.

Absolutely amazed by the service I received by the staff at reception, the bar and the restaurant. Breakfast was the best, full of everything. Rooms were very clean. Must visit.

We had a lovely stay at the Hilton. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Ben and Elaine who worked breakfast who are absolutely fabulous at what they do and go over and beyond the call of duty. You guys made the bride to be a little less stressed on her big day. Thank you xx.

Good hotel with decent gym and parking facilities. The swimming pool is the highlight particularly if you have kids they'll love it. But was disappointed with the cleanliness. Hoover wasn't done under the bed and there was grey dust. The bathroom looked tired. Otherwise the room was of great size and been looked after well. Perhaps because I'm a hilton honours member.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn at Northampton and I asked my 8 year old child which she like best. She prefers the Hilton because the room were spacious (she likes to cartwheel) so she had the space to do it. She was allowed at the jacuzzi and got a goody bag from reception. Hubby on the other hand preferred Holiday Inn as their pool was much warmer and Jacuzzi was hotter. He was not pleased with the TV at the Hilton as they're were not many channel selections. I on the other hand, the only downside was that I booked 3 rooms but one room (grandparents room) were far away from us and the Hilton plaque outside was not polished and rusty. It needs to be polished for good impressions.

Not bad for the money I quess. The room was a good size. Needs work. Staff friendly.

Typical British faded glamour and lack of attention to detail. Annoyed to find the key card didn't work so had to queue to ask surly staff member to get it working. This he did with a shoulder shrugging attitude. The bar staff were noticeably excellent however, the hotel's saving grace.

Very clean facilities, good selection of drinks and food. Car Park can get a little busy but there is additional spaces behind the hotel but if it's raining it's a bit of a trek to reception. Staff were extremely helpful. Overall a good experience, would definitely use again.

I called these fools to try and book a room, all I wanted to know was availability and prices. After getting through the the automated menu and eight minutes of being talked over by some rude robotic girl, asked pointless questions and being put on hold without being asked, I get a different woman on the phone asking how she could 'help', so basically right back to square one. I explained that I was already speaking to someone and I asked where she had gone, the new call handler just grunted and hung up. I called back once more and again got nowhere. Really, all I wanted to know was if a room was available for three nights and the cost. If this is how they handle calls then I definitely would not consider staying there.

Reasonable hotel. Decent sized rooms and impressive welcoming lobby area. Let downs were the limited choice of dinner menu and very outdated TV in my room. The public Wi-Fi is fast (2.3Mbs download) which is free for Hilton Hhonors Members otherwise quite expensive but good to have a decent connection unlike other public Wi-Fi.

Lovely comfortable stay. Lovely accommodating staff. Nice gym and pool.

We had afternoon tea for 60. Sandwiches were alright (nothing fancy). Staff seemed happy to help.

Because I work for stakis then hilton in october 2015 while on holiday in england from our home in kos greece we visited the hotel what wonderful improvement you made since I worked there from1997 to2001 could not believe the excellent improvements you achieved will see you again christmas 2016 from amanda lawrence kos island.

The rooms were large, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. We didn't get a chance to use most of the facilities as we had to leave early but we would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant couple of days working off hours and staying here. Able to sleep during the day and work overnight, housekeeping and staff respecting the do not disturb sign and leaving notes under the door where necessary. All clean and well maintained, and good food too.

Oh god, where to begin?! This was intended to be a 21st birthday present from my boyfriend and after viewing pictures on their booking site of our room (the supposed best available room) was very excited and eager to experience a nice, relaxing time enjoying the spa facilities which my boyfriend had booked and paid form. Upon arrival, the venue looked decent enough and inviting enough however checking in presented a number of issues for myself. Firstly, after having read out to us the facilities that were available to us under the package we had bought (Pool, Gym and Spa facilities), we were surprised and extremely disappointed to find that spa treatments had to be booked in advanced DESPITE calling up earlier on in the week and asking whether bookings had to be made and BEING TOLD NO YOU DON'T! So we did not get what we paid for and therefore could have just bought a bog standard room for half the price. Secondly after being told the news that we would not be receiving what we had paid and stayed for, the woman asked if we wanted to pay £50 for unlimited access to the bar and restaurant. Okay this sounds pretty good I thought and just to clarify I asked "So we can eat and drink whatever we want and it will only cost us £50" and in a very slow and patronising manner said YES… only to find out later after dinner that this £50 was like a tab and we now owe an additional £40!
