The service was very good and friendly.

Lovely food and surroundings. Some of the staff need to learn better customer service. No smile on face of one member of staff until she heard us mention this. Spilt coffee was going to leave in saucer which was filled of coffee until we mentioned this aswell. Long wait for coffee. Dont mind paying service charge if all the service was good.

I was treated to a romantic night at Chilston Park on Saturday and the room, setting and service was amazing! The food was so tasty and the private dining experience was really special. The perfect place to get engaged and can’t wait to come back in years to come ❤️💍

Had a lovely dog walk around Chilston Manor this morning then had a well deserved coffee and a bacon bap. The staff were lovely and welcoming and so friendly. The lady that took our order in reception to the young man that brought us our food and made a fuss of the dogs. Thank you and we look forward to coming and having a meal on the Terrace.

Such a beautiful location and amazing food. Had afternoon tea was absolutely delicious 😋, definitely be returning. Service was fantastic, all the staff were friendly but our waiter Lewis went above and beyond to accommodate us, who knew what an amazing photographer he was, he knew all the best places to take a good pic. Thank you soo much really enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend 👌 it. X x.

Lovely peaceful environment and friendly welcoming staff.

Spent our wedding night at this hotel back in1997, lovely suite and grounds are amazing, didn't have social media back then so thought I would leave a review now as we are going there today with our dogs for a walk and bacon roll.

We had a lovely crisp Christmas Eve walk in the grounds, the map was clear easy to use and the warm drinks after were very much needed. Very helpful polite staff, and was able to use the toilets too. Lovely afternoon had by all.

Despite the most difficult of Corona Virus circumstances, visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) plus a scrumptious bacon roll with the freshest of bread for just £5! Tremendous friendly service and such outstanding value for money. Highly recommended. Lovely walks with maps and directions provided by the hotel.

Had lunch today outside with my two best friends. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. Haven't been as impressed at a hotel for years. Highly recommended.

Really lovely afternoon tea today. The hotel is very safe with social distancing, hand sanitizer and cleaning all the time made us feel safe. The afternoon tea was superb and staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. Can’t wait to visit again.

A beautiful place, sympathetically decorated. The staff are very attentive and the food absolutely scrumptious. Staying in the main house, particularly in one of the lovely suites, is just such a treat; the entire experience and stay gives you the feeling of being the Lord and Lady of the Manor!

This is my second stay here and yet again the service is fantastic from reception to bar to restaurant. They are all alert switched on and here for you. Plus the hotel is set in a beautiful location. Can’t fault it.

On Saturday 12 October we got to celebrate our happily ever after at Chilston Park Hotel. Our wedding day was like a fairytale. We had the most amazing day in this wonderful historic building. Beautiful place stayed here for 2 nights with my husband for our mini moon after our wedding at the Orangery.
We stayed in the Tudor suite and had dinner on the 2nd night.

Having visited Chilston Park on numerous occasions I can honestly say, the standard of service, the food and the presentation of the beautiful house, is always perfect. The staff are so friendly and the food is fabulous. I especially love a quiet afternoon tea. I’ve lost count how many phots I have of the beautiful stairway. Would highly recommend the Chilston Park Hotel. I staying over night my favourite room is the Camelot room, full of charm and sophistication.

Went for an afternoon tea. This was an Xmas gift. Tea very nicely served loads to eat and tea was plentiful. Staff very accommodating nice atmosphere.

Beautiful hotel with lovely garden. The rooms are comfty and clean. Inside they have a restaurant were they serve breakfast (buffet and also hot food that can be made to order and served at your table. The dishes they serve for dinner tasted very good and looked great. We enjoyed our stay here very much and even though we felt a little out of place at first (the hotel being so chique) we were pleased to find the staff to be very kind and making us feel right at home.

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. We stayed here 1 night on our way back home. We enjoyed the garden and the big chess game outside. Dinner and breakfast were both very good (both flavour and presentation). Do not forget to make a reservation in advance for dinner to make sure you have a table as the restaurant turned out to be fully booked the night we were there. At first we felt a bit out of place, thought it maybe was a bit to chique but the staff made us feel right at home and attended to our every need.

Excellent rooms and service at a reasonable price. Super English breakfast as it should be. The best poached haddock and eggs I had for sometime! The tea was also as it should be NOT in tea bags! Highly recommend.

The hotel and grounds are lovely. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. We had a dinner, bed and breakfast package and so ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel. This is where the experience was marred for us. While the food we had for dinner was very tasty, it took 45 minutes to get our starters and then the main courses were slow to follow. The same experience at breakfast. It appears there is not enough staff on hand in the middle of the week to deliver slick service and this is disappointing. Given the cost of the package, we expected far better service.

Nice looking place, very quiet. Nice service, good views, loads of green fields. Nice place to get rest from time to time. Old fashion looking buildings and at front little pond.

Gorgeous hotel, staff were very friendly and attentive. We stayed in the manor house had lovely comfortable big bed and lots of pillows. Breakfast was amazing and tasted lovely. The gardens around the hotel are breath taking.

Stunning Manor House with many different feature Rooms and Suites. Perfect for weddings (we had ours there two years ago). Extremely good restaurant and excellent customer service. We will go again!

Helpful staff and excellent rooms. The grounds were really nice for a romantic walk, visiting in the spring there was lots of baby rabbits hopping around and lambs in the fields.

Lovely hotel, set on beautiful grounds. The hotel has real character and the staff helped to make our stay really pleasant! We were overnight guests at a wedding, we would to return next time we are planning a trip to the area.

Superb food. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as perfect as possible. Rooms are pleasant but not outstanding.

My daughter had her wedding here a few years ago so Chilston is always a very special place to us. We celebrated my husband's 70th Birthday here this week by having dinner in the library with close family. Food was delicious and Jack looked after us superbly. Chilston has not changed over the years but this is it's charm. Will keep going back, think a cream tea will next!

Stayed in Camelot room, was cold when arrived but soon warmed up, I have noticed that the room really needs a good clean, the frills at the top of the 4 poster bed were torn and this made it look so tacky and cheap, the mirrors in the room and the art work paintings around the hotel were not straight which in my opinion made it look like they couldn't be bothered to just make it look nice, the staff are so nice could not fault them, overall only 6 stars out of ten have stayed in better with better bedroom views. Will never stay again, have stayed in a lot better.

I love shooting weddings here. If your getting married give me a shout I love this place.

We went here 4 a wedding reception the grounds were very good the hotel where we were was a converted stables (look up camden stables) prices heavy car parking was tight as 2 weddings on.

Good hotel and keenly priced away from the usual busy periods. Staff are excellent and helpful. Food good.

Absolutely love this place. Have been here many many times over the years to the point where a lot of the staff feel more like friends. Special mention to zach as he is an absolute legend!. Oh. The food is amazing and the rooms I’ve stayed in. Mainly the cottage, have been perfect everytime!

What I did experience though was a lovely hotel and grounds
The staff were all very helpful
The food we had for the reception was lovely My only concern was with the bar, the hotel used the small bar by the staircase when there was a nice sized bar with plenty of room for all the guests to use
The small bar was in an area where people were trying to get through at the bottom of the stairs which led to the rooms, other than that everything else was lovely.

Lovely venue shame about the quality of our Christmas dinner! I would expect a lot better from a quality hotel even on a party night. For over £66 (without drinks) the main course of Turkey was small and anaemic. Vegetables almost none existant. 3 microscopic carrots, 3 sprouts and 4 green beans with 3 poorly roasted potatoes.

Update: Complaint raised was handled quickly and professionally, you can't get everything right all the time but you can rectify the situation, many thanks. Stayed at the hotel for one night as an anniversary treat (we had one of our first dates here). Lovely place, good food and great service, my partner and I were super impressed with Joe Simmonds especially. One problem with the stay, no hot water for the shower and both taps in the sink were boiling hot, not ideal when you have to get to work that morning. For the price I would expect hot water. Massive shame as we genuinely love the hotel and food!

Lovely place to stay with fantastic accommodation. The bar is pricey though so beware. When having breakfast order eggs and toast in advance of collecting your other items from the buffet as they cook these to order.

I was just there for a meeting but the staff were helpful and friendly. The tea, coffee and food was very good quality and served promptly. The hotel itself seemed to have good facilities, it was also clean and we'll presented.

I went to Chilston Park for my friends hen do and it was lovely. Me and my fiance were thinking about getting married there. It is a very beautiful place but very difficult to get to as it's in the middle of the countryside. However the afternoon tea we had was lovely and staff were more than willing to help all of our demands. The cost was rather high for what was a few small sandwich fingers however the desserts were very nice! Would gladly go again for a special occasion but only once or twice as I found it too expensive!

Stayed at the Chilston for a wedding. The venue is really lovely but what makes it special is staff. They were excellent very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel grounds are immaculate. The room was perfectly laid out. We had 2 adults, 2 children and a baby staying in the room. Service was really good.

Beautiful place with friendly staff. Downsides: check in is painfully slow. Nothing to do with the fab staff and all to do with antiquated procedures. The hotel could also do with some air-conditioning. All in all though a lovely place and great value for money. I'd recommend it to all.

Great hotel, no spa but surroundings are great and peaceful enough. Restaurant was very over priced for the below average service we received, but the staff were so determined to satisfy us they have offered a second stay. Whilst the hotel service was excellent, the restaurant pulls down my rating. Perhaps after our second visit I may change this rating to 4/5 stars. The restaurant staff don't seem to have a good balance of professionalism and friendliness, with most having one or the other.

Room was great, grounds we well kept and very peaceful. A beer near the lake in the afternoon sun is lovely. You can hear a little motorway noise but is your from a city its forgettable. Food is very expensive but well made and presented to a high standard. All staff are very highly trained and friendly. Location is out of the way and a little tricky to locate signs are green and in hedges so easy missed. Overall would highly reccomend if prices are a major concern.

Lovely overnight stay in the Tulip room. Staff all very attentive and food in the Culpepper restaurant was superb. Highly recommended.

We went to Chilston Park Hotel for afternoon tea, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent, the atmosphere is very calm and relaxed which is all down to the wonderful staff.

Beautiful hotel. Well kept. Food very good, but service lacking. Breakfast particularly so as as we had to ask several times for cutlery and tea and coffee. Rather than providing what was needed the staff seemed to find it more important to fill up the bacon tray but nobody had anything to eat it with. Shame as it's such an excellent venue!
