Very quaint and interestingly designed pub. Food lovely but quite pricey. The drinks at the bar are also dearer than we are used to paying. However the ambience and style made for an enjoyable evening.

Charming place, kind hostess, but simple, basic dishes are too simple and overpriced.

They have a row of little chalets that are very convenient to stay at if you have a family member who is staying at the nearby Benenden hospital. My room is quiet, big, has a little fridge in the corner. The bathroom seems newly fitted and the water pressure in the shower is adequate. The hot water tap at the sink dispenses incredibly hot water and there is a warning sign.

Another great meal at The Bull. Place was buzzing with people happy to be there. Staff are a real joy.

What a lovely friendly place. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us for a delightful meal. We were staying in the area and will definitely return with family in the near future.

I had my birthday party there; no problems with guests' dietary needs.

I was on holiday in Kent over the weekend celebrating life with my partner and we were recommended to visit this little pub. I was greeted by a nice bar staff member who explained to me at exactly 8:24 that the pub was still serving food and would be until 9. I was undecided as to whether to eat so I said to her that I would make my mind up by 8:45. At which point the landlord sneered at me and told me that I would NOT be ordering at 8:45, that the kitchen would be closing soon and that I would need to order NOW because I was holding the kitchen up. Surprised as I was I returned to my table feeling like a told off child. Clearly this irked me over the next few minutes so I returned to the bar to make my complaints. At first it seemed he refused to come back and talk to me about his behaviour, he seemed to be hiding at the other end of the bar. He sent his wife out who gave me the weakest apology I have ever heard from a human being and proceeded to tell me he 'had a bad day'. Diddums. In my world if I have a bad day I don't take it out on my customers. I still wasn't happy so I asked to speak to him directly. He came over and whilst the words 'sorry' did come out of his mouth he immediately proceeded to justify himself by saying he was just 'telling me how it is'. This guy is so miserable that he feels the need to implicate his customers in his issues about a kitchen being open for a few more minutes. If he had just asked me nicely I wouldn't have minded when I order.

Potentially a great pub if it weren't for the rude landlord. If being treated with respect and common courtesy is high on your list of requirements for a pleasant pub experience then avoid this one at all costs. There's another Bull pub in the next village (Benenden) where you can expect good customer service, go there instead.
