Amazing food I had small fish and chips and ny son had beef and ale pie, perfect for lunch but could it for dinner too, surrounding of the place was lovely we had a nice set up a few steps from bar 2 a quaint lovely table with armchairs, service was spot on and manager so lovely, thanku for a nice experience 👌🏾

A regular… had lunch here yesterday again, all staff the team are phenomenal! Management, bar staff, front of house behind the scenes, in the kitchen all are amazing we love visiting, always good ambience, on point service and the food is unbelievable what more could you want from a local.

This pub has a lovely atmosphere they serve good quality beer and excellent food. We've stayed here a couple of times the rooms and service are of a very high standard and the full English breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend staying here or popping in for a drink and or food.

We ate with you today at lunchtime. Tasty food, friendly service, great atmosphere. All Covid safe proceedures were in place and working well, we felt perfectly safe and at ease. We'll definitely be back! Many thanks.

Fantastic food! The dish with 3 different lambs, were the best I ever had. And the strawberry filled meringue was divine as dessert. Excellent and friendly service.

Not often do I go to a pub for lunch and find I am struggling to narrow down the menu. I think I could have chosen absolutely anything and thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m a self confessed fussy eater.

Brilliant little pub, dogs are allowed for the weary walker. Food is also served, however, as Silver doggy was with me and the wife we only had coffee and tea. The food smelt really good, so maybe we will have to go back. The only downside was the step at the front of the public house. This meant that the site's mobility scooter stayed outside. Glad, really that I had bought a rain cover for it. Only the second time out for the wife since hospital appointments, small steps that may never change, oh well, I will try.

I was last here in the 80's and some parts of the building haven't changed. Fabulous ambience, very welcoming. The food was wholesome and delicious and as there were five of us we each had something different and none of us were disappointed. I can thoroughly recommend the savoury mille feuille, lots of super flavours and textures. And you must try the maple and cherry bread pudding, gorgeous.

Absolutely amazing location. Used it for our wedding night. Perfect and beautiful.

Autumn/winter menu still being offered in June? Even so, the food is fresh tasting, well cooked and delicious. Please try and give the gluten free community more choice.

Delicious ham egg and chips. Real chunky ham. Since warm welcome. Very relaxing atmosphere. Friendly chatty staff. We will be returning. Thank you for your hospitality.

Love this pub! Had a lovely Lamb shoulder Sunday Roast. Very nice and plenty of veg.

We had lunch here and stayed over in the 'feature room' as we had our Wedding party at the brewery. We had a lovely time here. There is a varied menu for lunch/dinner and caters for varied dietary requirements. The quality of the food was great and very large portions. Our room was beautiful, such character with the wooden beams and bath in the bedroom! Very comfortable and all has all the amenities, even a coffee machine, bottled water, toiletries etc. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, again, a lot of options to choose from. It was all made to order, so arrived hot and fresh. The staff were all very polite and friendly. We couldn't fault our stay and all of our Wedding party guests who stayed here loved their rooms and had a lovely time. Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful, went in on the off chance of a vegan meal. They had a choice of two main meals. Super spicy lentil burger with excellent chips.

Retaining many classic features of old town pub only lack of choice of Real ales brought the rating down.

Good atmosphere with live music. The staff were courteous even under pressure. The selection of drinks was adequate. Wheelchair accessible areas. Plenty of areas to sit. An overall enjoyable evening had.

Old fashion styles Shepherd Neame pub restaurant. Food is of reasonable quality, however the portion sizes make the meals lower value for money than they could be. Drinks are the usual Shep's price, ~£3.50 per pint of beer.

The pig's cheeks with chorizo and white beans are gorgeous, one of the best dishes I've ever experienced. Excellent service and ambience too.

Lovely atmospheric pub with good restaurant. Lost of different areas to sit, particularly next to the fire in winter. Live band every Friday. Large courtyard which is popular in the summer.

Cozy and welcoming in the winter. The Sun can be relied on to have many of Shep's beers in stock. I visited recently to have the special Christmas Ale. Most excellent, and hard to find elsewhere.

Good service, good food, cheese board had been left out which meant brie had melted, apart from that all great.

Good traditional pub. Very friendly staff, large space inside with armchairs should you want to sit comfortably but the bar side is very welcoming too.

Only stopped for a quick pint but the pub had a nice traditional feel. Friendly staff and local Shepherd Neame brews on tap. Good to visit if you wish to sample local beer without doing the 2 hour brewery tour.

I used to frequent The Sun a lot many years ago. Popped in for a drink when passing the other day and it still has all the same feel and good beers that made me love it all those years ago. Great friendly atmosphere and staff. Well kept local beers and one of the best beer gardens around.

Great pub in Faversham owned by Shepherd Neame. I've never had a bad meal here. Menu includes pub classics such as ham and eggs and fish and chips, and more upmarket dishes like cod poached in a white wine sauce and potato gnocci. Great selection of ales on tap, and a decent wine list. They also have a nice garden area for when it's warmer.

A very nice pub with accommodation. Live music weekly but it stops at 11 sharp so no problem from overnight stays. Cars must be parked in the public car park behind, fees payable during the day. Central location for the brewery and the town itself with lovely markets on Saturday.

Booked to stay here for one night in a family room, which is beautiful. Already planning to offload the kids at a later date and come back on our own.

Had a couple of drinks and a meal yesterday. We had the soup of the day, roasted pepper and quinoa salad, gnocci and asparagus in a cream sauce with sweet potato fries with crumbled feta cheese. Ales that we had were grand and the food was amazing. It was busy but we were served quickly in a professional and friendly manner. Based (only on one visit) I would highly recommend.

Just terrific! Being a pedestrianised area there was no road noise hence a great night sleep. The building was old but very tastefully converted into hotel rooms. Clean and modern yet with period features great bar, excellent ales.
