We have been to the Ferry House Inn a few times for lunch now, and every time it is as good as the last if not better! The food is always divine, and the staff are enormously friendly and happy, welcoming you in whether you’ve been there a thousand times or never before. Cannot wait to get married here.

Highly recommended little hidden jewel in Kent. We absolutely loved our stay with you last weekend in Room 5! Stunning location, superb views, so so quiet and tranquil, gorgeous grounds, lovely dinner and service and a fabulous breakfast, so much fresh produce and not a processed meal, freshly cooked. The room was beautiful and spotless, the mini fridge with fresh milk was a great idea for my husbands morning cuppa, beautiful bathroom and lounge and facilities. The little touches were welcomed. Can’t wait to return.

I LOVE the Ferry House Inn. Such beautiful settings, brilliant, friendly staff and great food. I’ve come here many times to dine and most recently get married (today). The team have been so supportive during uncertain times and really went above and beyond to make the day as special as can be. Highly recommend coming here whether that be for a pub lunch, dinner, just a drink over looking the water and beautiful grounds, a nice stay away in beautiful accommodation and most of all to get married. You can’t go far wrong! X.

So good to be back for our 3rd anniversary meal… the bubba loved his first meal out too. The pasta was amazingly fresh and the perfect main for him. The adults meals were also excellent, as always. We were very anxious and nervous to venture out for the first time since lockdown but it was a very well planned and welcoming as usual. Thank you guys… can’t wait to comeback!

Been here for meals and the food is just flawless, super fresh, beautifully served and seasonal. Never had a bad meal here at all. The restaurant is a vision too. My best friend had a wedding here too. Best day ever. Beautiful sceneries, staff super friendly and family friendly. This place is one, if not, my favourite place to eat on the island. Stayed one night too. The rooms are massive and comfy. Seriously can’t fault The Ferry House Inn at all.

I have never been here before, until today when my hubby, booked a table for my birthday. All I can say is… What an incredible place to go to have food. The food was lovely, the staff were super friendly and the play area for my child, was just amazing, he loved it. Would go again nice place for all Family. Can't wait to visit again.

The food was nice when it finally got to us 2hr 30 after the booked time and the only reason they are getting 1 star is because it was nice and the waitress was polite under a lot of stress. The manager was useless and sent the waitress to deal with iterate customers. Not once did the manager apologise or give any explanation, she was just plain rude. I left there annoyed having been told it was good and having family travel for a couple of hours to go out for a birthday meal it ruined their day too. Never again will I go there and never will I encourage anyone else to.

Food was excellent as was the service. Just be forewarned that they host many weddings and as such, it can effect their already limited food service hours. Your best bet is to make a reservation if you want to eat, especially for supper. The bar is open from noon on and there are plenty of tables outside so you can enjoy the beautiful countryside. There's even a little playground for the kiddos.

Attended for my nephews wedding. Staff polite and helpful. Food lovely. Rooms clean and very comfortable. Lovely wedding venue.

Just recently got married at The Ferry House inn on Friday 13th July 2018 and we can't thank all the staff enough for putting soooo much effort into our lovely day! Emily was amazing and took control of everything along with our toastmaster phil to ensure we had the most amazing day! Also Ellie was fantastic throughout the day and frankie who took over in the evening was brilliant too. Both were so informative and helpful! … From the venue to the scenic views and quality of food this makes a great wedding venue and we are so glad we picked it! Thank you all so much for making our day so special and run smoothly!

The only reason this place did not get five star was the wait between courses and the ladies toilet floor could have been a lot cleaner. Otherwise, the setting was beautiful, the waitress attentive, the restaurant very pretty with a lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent. A proper clean of the toilet floor and faster service between courses will make this place perfect.

A lovely looking pub with amazing view across the water. It's very dark inside but holds a traditional feel. Sadly the menu is extremely limited and the food is very expensive. But the place itself is very pretty and in a beautiful location.

The whole experience was 5 star. Very welcoming staff to us and our dog. Very clean place including toilets. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the local cider. We fully recommend the ferry house inn.

I booked 2 nights here as somewhere quiet to get some rest. I really only chose it because of the remote location. I didn’t actually know that they’d won Kent Dining Pub of the year in 2014, 15, 17 & 18. I’ve just eaten the best fried breakfast of my life, with locally produced everything, and sausages and bacon made on-site, and I’m off back to bed for some more rest! Wonderful so far!

Location is stunning, barn is a fabulous setting for weddings and the pub has a real country feel! Food is great, have visited many times and never had a bad meal (reasonably priced too considering this is an upmarket venue). Staff were awesome and very friendly towards well behaved dogs. Emily, Lauren and Victoria (the wedding crew) are a credit to the service and the rooms were lovely too :)

We had our wedding here Dec 17. It was amazing! The location speaks for itself, making an excellent backdrop for our photos. They truly do look stunning. You won't be disappointed with the planning or running of your day either. Every member of staff could not be more helpful or accommodating, ensuring we had a glitch free day. The attention to detail, along with all the other attributes really does make this venue incredible!

Food massively surpassed our expectations. Great flavour and excellent presentation. Cozy proper pub with an open fire at the best spot on the island.

Great location and staff. The chef is always accommodating and produces beautiful vegan dishes for us on request. The food is fresh, home grown and so tasty and as a result the service may take a little longer but so worth it. There’s cozy fires to sit by in the winter, and beautiful gardens and views over the creek to enjoy in the summer. The pirate ship playground is always a hit with the kids too.

Lovely venue if a little out of the way. Attended a wedding here and stayed at the nearby Hocketts Farm Cottages. Pleasant staff, and a real old school vibe with the low ceilings, oak beams and wood fires.

My wife and I made an impromptu stop off for food. Great food. Warm friendly staff. Good prices. There is a limited menu but there's something for everyone. It's a little out of the way but well worth the trip.

Extremely expensive, terrible food we had to wait over an hour for and there was only one other couple in there, and ridiculously small portions (had larger starters), you expect to pay extra for quality & high standards… we got neither, genuinely inedible disgusting greasy food, then they charged us extra because the steak was larger than the menu stated.? Who does that.? I'm genuinely shell shocked, at the standard of food, the poor service & the POSITIVE reviews…? If we got them on a bad day, my God did we get one… can't stress enough… please please go elsewhere (eaten better food at burger vans).

Stayed in the cottages for a wedding. The venue was spotless. Everything needed was provided and in a beautiful setting. Wedding co-ordinates did get some details very wrong but this is not to do with the venue.

Great shooting, lovely people, enjoy a drink in the pub after. Summer months you can opt for a meal deal, shoot and dinner for set price… Great idea.

I once would have rated this beautiful place a 5star but on my last visit on Sunday 30th July the food was aweful, didn't complain as it was a family dinner but has put me off going there again for a meal, saying that great beer and nice staff.

Gorgeous views and setting. Rooms are ok but pillows really uncomfortable (bring your own). Food is lovely. Decent drink selection. Could seriously do with more staff for busy events.

Don't be put off by the long drive you will get there eventually. The pub had seating outside so on a good day lovely outlook didn't actually eat here but I did see food being served and it looked very nice. Loads of parking spaces too.

Came for lunch on a quiet mid-week day. The staff were nice and accommodating but the food was very much just ok. If you're serving herb crusted lamb rack the lamb really should be pink (not grey) and herb crusted. Likewise the partridge starter was rather tough. On the plus side the views from the Inn and on the single track road there are rather special.

Stayed there last night and very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Booked a table for an evening meal and the food was absolutely fantastic Free breakfast thrown in when you book a room and again the food was great. Would highly recommend this hotel The staff are very friendly and professional.

Went yesterday and it was nothing short of spectacular. The food was to die for and the service was top class. Me and my wife are making it a regular weekly visit for the lunch special. I will make my way through the menu. Hidden gem. A must visit for any foody.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Chips were cold for the evening buffet and bacon limp in rolls. Otherwise a lovely setting very clean and would happily refer other family's for a wedding venue.

Although completely off the beaten track. The ferry house inn is in a stunning location. They have high speed internet. And wonderful views. Only popped in for a quick drink. Had a quick glimpse at the restaurant area which looked and smelt amazing.

The Ferry House Inn has some of the best food we have ever had. Although it was a little pricey, the taste and amount of the food more than made up for it. Additionally you would expect to pay a lot more for food of a similar or lesser quality in other establishments. We also stayed at the cottages nearby, and they are very spacious and homely. The welcome basket was delightful and the beds were heavenly. The only negative I can really give is the location, which is in the middle of nowhere. That said, it is remarkably beautiful and was worth travelling to. I don't think we could rate this lovely place any higher, it's top class and highly recommended.

Pleasant place to visit Food is very nicely presented and reasonably priced. They have a high level of service and customer care. Would recommend this venue.

Staff were rude and uninterested in serving or accommodating us. Food took a long time to come out, and one person didn't even receive their order (there were only 7 of us! ). The food itself was a bit hit-and-miss, with some enjoying their meal and others not so. We expected better based on the good reputation that they had built, and the fact that it it's 3 miles off-road to even get there. We also pushed to get a refund on the starter for the person that didn't receive their main course, which they were VERY reluctant to do, but gave in eventually.

The venue is clean and beautiful. It feels very cosy and the staff was very friendly. They showed us around the venue, showing each area. The good was reasonably price and their dessert was scrumptious.

We held our wedding at FHI with guests staying at mockers farm as well as the FHI hotel. This was a fantastic, rustic, relaxed venue which catered for all our needs. My husband and I recently went back for a night in the hotel and again great service and delicious food. Can not recommend highly enough for an event, a special occasion or a relaxed pub meal. I really feel that the food is worth a second mention as has never failed to both impress and fill us! My favourite place to be!

It was a beautiful building. The location is brilliant and the grounds are stunning! All the staff were very friendly and the prices aren't too bad either.

The food was perfect, the beef burger was delicious and the homemade coleslaw was the best.

Called into the Harty Ferry Inn, bought our drinks sat down at the table, we were then told we would have to go because it was a private function, there werent any notices on the doors or at the entrance where the sign is, so how are the public to know this is so. If people dont have computers how would they know. Have been to the Harty on many occasions and was happy to be there.

Visited as part of a a wedding party and had a wonderful evening. Lovely surroundings, friendly staff and an enjoyable evening.

The Ferry House Inn is a fantastic B&B. We had a very comfortable stay. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the T-bone steak. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we didn't want to leave.

Staying at Mockett's was delightful. A real treat! Everything we needed was there and the surroundings were stunning. We ate at The Ferry House Inn twice and enjoyed both visits very much. Can't wait to go back.

So disappointed went there to celebrate my hubbies 60th birthday with a nice meal with family table in the bar area (not restraunt) then presented with the smallest menu choice all on A4 sheet including desert. Nothing worth writing home about we had one drink and left. It used to be brilliant, I think the wedding 's have taken over to much. Time they made a decission wedding venue or pub/restraunt.
