Absoluttely brilliant, high standard with clean comfortable rooms. This hotel is much better than most of the 4-star hotels we’ve been to. Breakfast is by order (brilliant), parking is easy and secure, rooms with air-con and up to date, staff extremely friendly (thanks guys! ) and the hotel itself is much bigger than it seems! We just came off a roadtrip including 5-star hotels, and this is the place we will return to. Thank you!

Caught up with a few friends a couple weeks ago for a meal. The vibe was lovely as was the Chicken Kiev I had! Ollie was my server, very polite.

Fabulous food. Good service. Reasonably priced. Car park a pain to get onto, as you have to pull up to the barrier, and then phone for the code. Will definitely go again, but park elsewhere.

Family place to go. Very nice spot to sit out on in the sun. Good customer service. Good sun trap and pretty.

We went for a Sunday roast. Shame I could have made a better one at home. And a much cheaper one as well. Also my girlfriends meal was bought out when we were already finished ours as they forgot her meal. They obviously rushed it out as the food was half cooked. One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to.

This was a very pleasant location. The room was excellent with a good shower and en suite facility.

Lovely pub in the middle of Radlett. Was very quiet mid afternoon but the service was attentive and the food was nice. The pub has a car park and you have to call the pub to gain entry through the barrier.

Stayed here for the weekend whilst visiting the Harry Potter studio tour. Me and my girlfriend had a great time. The hotel is attached to a local pub and restaurant both with great, friendly atmosphere, log burning fires, a good drink selection. The food in the restaurant was very enjoyable if only a tad expensive. All of the staff were happy to help and the room was very spacious and modern, especially the shower room. Situated right across the road from a taxi rank and train station transport is extremely accessible whilst still being in the heart of the town where any last minute items required are only a few minutes walk away at the local Tesco. Definitely recommend.

I have been drinking Youngs beer for the last 40 years and this was the worst pint of Ordinary I have had. I complained and was told some people like it. I sampled the special which was worse. They did not sample either themselves which says everything. I strongly suggest cleaning your pipes guys but your beer and attitude means I will not be returning.

Nice pub situated in the middle of Radlett and opposite the train station. Rooms are quite nice and comfortable. Bathroom is ok, but paint was peeling in places… Breakfast was excellent. All in all, very good value.

Service was very fast, ideal for a working lunch. Food quality was very good, if a little on the expensive side… But happy to pay for he quality and service.

The staff were helpful but there are loads of stairs. And the iron ruined my husbands shirt that he was going to wear to a wedding that day.

Really beautiful place with a charm. Nice personal and really good food. We were really happy to stay in this hotel and recomended it hightly.

Had a good nights stay when work booked the red lion for me. Huge rooms, good food and friendly staff. Would use again.

We stayed there overnight. Used the restaurant for a meal the night before with good food and drinks. The rooms had comfortable beds however there was issues where a radiator came off the wall and the shower would not work. A good discount was given however.

Good atmosphere. Attentive staff. Great food and drink. Cater for children. Dogs welcome.

Enjoyed our stay, lovely staff, situated in an ideal place with plenty of places to go out and eat. The food in the hotel was lovely and decent price, bar and restaurant was beautiful and had quite a rustic look to it. Pub was attached to hotel but noise of beer garden outside didn't come through our windows or disturb us. The bedroom was lovely with beautiful photos of the village. Basic TV in the room with freeview and plenty of wardrobe space. Bathroom was beautiful as well and clean. The only thing I can fault is we stayed Tuesday to Thursday and no one had been to our room to refresh our towels, empty the bins or refresh toilet roll. Radiator in our bathroom was hanging off the wall which I notified reception then the next morning it completely fell off which could have injured us but luckily didn't. This resulted in me having to get ready in the public toilets in the pub due to maintenance being in the bathroom. But they came straight out when we told them so it was alright. I think if it wasn't for the lack of house keeping and the radiator situation I would return again.

Lovely place. We were so happily surprised with it. Great rooms, modern bathrooms and a great pub downstairs. We also had dinner at their restaurant and the food was good and plenty. Excellent option for the price range.

It's ok pub but not good as it used to be. There are better pubs drive distance to Radlett. This used to be my fav winter pub in the area but things changed now. The beer is good mostly but they need to live up the place a little bit! all summer, havent seen a day with a nice party or bbq day.

Very comfy beds. Good service. Evening meal very tasty and breakfast well cooked and filling. Generally a good place! One thing to note is that you will need a barrier code for the car park. Ring for the code before you get there otherwise you could end up blocking the road.

Location was good, easy to find and well sign posted. Rooms were adequate. Some water damage to walls, drafty windows and minor bug (ladybird) problem. Shower was beautiful and the beds were fresh and comfortable. Service was great, very pleasant and polite. Could have had more vegetarian/vegan options available, had to eat elsewhere because of this (my partner suffers from a dairy allergy) Overall a pleasant experience.

Nice relaxing pub with a good choice of food and friendly staff. Although they have removed the fry up from their menu… Was not please about that last time I was there.

What could be an amazing pub, but reaches just above mediocrity. Sports screens (a big turn off for me). Average quality, but slightly pricey bar food. Very overpriced mediocre restaurant food that strives to punch above its weight. Geared perhaps more towards hotel guests than locals. Good selection of beers. Large selection of overpriced wines kept in appalling conditions (under direct light in some cases! ). There is potentially a lovely terrace, yet this is spoiled by a plethora of smokers, whose smoke also enters through the old draughty windows in some corners of the pub. I wish it were better. The whole area is crying out for a decent pub.

Had a lovely stay here. Was about 15 mins from Harry Potter Studios so definitely worth it if you are planning on going there. It also has a nice pub which got quite busy when we stayed but we had no problem with noise. As it's on a nice street there's a few options for bars and restaurants as well. The room itself was lovely and they supply a nice selection of coffee and tea which is always a bonus. There is parking just around the side which requires a code so its worth ringing in advance to get it.

Last minute booking was made, what a wonderful surprise! Secure car parking, Welcoming staff, great menu, quality food and reasonable prices. Will visit again!

The sauteed prawns were served with "burnt pan" flavouring the dish and the prawns were not so "King". Couldn't really taste any of the flavours promised on the menu. The mains, once we found something that hadn't sold out, were nothing to write home about. The roast beef dinner didn't have any greens with it, (no broccoli or peas etc. ), 1 small carrot and 1 small slice of parsnip, 3 small potatoes, over cooked yorkshire pudding, grim red cabbage and when asked for mustard we were given mayo?! The fish and chips was the same standard as you would get in a Wetherspoon pub and the chips were under cooked. Then the desert menu had half the items missing so we didn't bother ordering anything. So we just waited an age for the waiter to come back and ask for the bill. The lager was flat-ish too. We weren't asked if we wanted drinks during the dinner. The table next to us made the comment "faulty towers" and I think that was quite apt. Really not the standard that it was a year ago, well over priced for what it is. £70+ for 3 people to have a Sunday lunch is not really that good considering what was put on the plate in front of us. Will not be returning. When the waiter did serve us, he was lovely and very polite and pleasant, just a shame everything else was not of the level you'd expect — or not even close. Nice decor though!

Went there yesterday evening to try the revamped dining room/kitchen. Food was really good, the scallops were excellent. Hopefully standards will be kept up unlike last time. Radlett needs a place like the Red Lion. Now if only they could serve decent ale.

Nice venue, Bar staff look as though they have all been slapped. Smile.
