We didn’t stay there just went for a meal. Can recommend the food it was excellent and plenty of it, very friendly will be going again.

Great friendly pub with a good selcton of beers and ciders, good range of gins as well as other spirits with double ups offers on alot of spirits bar area has dart board and pool table juke box… the restaurant is open for food daily with a good pub food menu

Nice pub, good breakfast, very friendly central location, bus stop just out front, lovely local town centre, I always stay there when in the Forest of Dean.

Superb place right in the centre of Coleford. I got a great deal last minute, although with the England match being on I did not get to try an evening meal! Superbly decorated and sympathetically restored historic building. Excellent breakfast too. Would stay again for business or pleasure.

Very good and very reasonably priced.

We were blown away when we walked into our (superior double) room; Really beautiful decor, grand, spacious and spotlessly clean. Very easy key entry system for accessing the hotel after closing time which was helpful for when you are out late. Free Wi-Fi too which is always a bonus. There is a pub and nice little breakfast room on the ground floor of the hotel. Friendly staff. Laid back feel. We really enjoyed our stay and found it to be very good value for money.

Had a delightful experience in the hotel! Staff is awesome, breakfast good, room very clean and comfy. Not one complaint. The hotel is right in the city center, in the roundabout around the Clock Tower, which means there's nowhere to park. Right by the door there's a bus stop, so it's tricky even to unload bags, if you are like me and travel with a thousand baby stuff. That said, staff suggested you won't get a ticket if you do park to get bags on and off. There's a cheap (very cheap. Like £6/week) parking up the road and also in the Co-op the street above. I had no issue parking in Easter bank holiday. The pub itself is nice, but I didn't eat there. Right next door there's a club. I couldn't hear anything in my room on the second floor, but would ask about it just in case. The pizza in the corner is not great, but can do the trick if needed.

If you want a quite comfortable room dont be put off by the busy bar etc. Downstairs its beautiful.

Management are very friendly and helpful and rooms are a great size. Unfortunately, the room was very dusty in places, particularly above the bed and a tapas bar next door plays very loud music till 2am Friday and Saturday. Not something which can be helped by the hotel but did have a big dampener on the stay.

After being stranded in coleford all week due to the bad weather conditions I was really looking forward to a Sunday roast. So I decided to go for the roast beef after it arrived I wish I hadn’t off bothered the menu says ‘ roast beef with all the trimmings ‘ you get one roast patato and I think for 10.95 and 3.30 for a pint off Pepsi to be told more roast potatoes would cost extra is ridiculous! So s roast and a drink costs 14.25 and if you want more than one patato you have to pay extra. So if your hungry I wouldn’t recommend going here!

Nice place. Food was lovely. Room was nice. Struggled to climb in bath for shower. And the mattress was very uncomfortable. Which was a shame. Everyone was so friendly.

Nice to see the place busy and under new management. Looking forward to making this my local again after a summer break of avoiding the mess the previous management was making of it.

I live locally, been here 3 times for food with the family, the food is excellent definitely recommend. Staff are friendly.

Spacious room. The four poster bed was incredibly comfortable and the staff were very friendly.

A wonderful friendly place, food is excellent both evening meal and a very hearty breakfast. The staff were very friendly. The room was delightful, clean, plenty of tea and coffee with extra milk. Bathroom clean with nice double shower. My only reserve is the bed could be more comfortable. A great pub, resteraunt and hotel. Which I would highly recommend.

Lovely building. Only popped in for a pint but the bar area was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Prices are not expensive either.

Allows dogs in bar. Bit dark but comfy seats. Toilets not 100% clean. Cheap and cheerful food. Friendly atmosphere. Has a brighter restaurant but we did not use it as no dogs allowed there.

Great location at it is right at the center of town and it has a bus stop right out side. Rooms were nice and the staff friendly.

Rooms were nice, we were arriving very late and the owner waited for us to arrive. Very friendly and also has a lovely dog. Would definitely recommend.

Could do with a lot of TLC could be much nicer. Needs a good spring clean. Lots of dusty memorabilia on shelves around the place that haven't seen a duster in months. Various miss matched ceiling lights. Mostly with at least one bulb out. It's our local. And a lot of the pubs have closed down in the area. Like a lot of areas. Upside is. Staff are very friendly. Food is usually quite good. And it's a big enough place to normally be able to find somewhere to sit. (Maybe not on new years eve though lol)

I only visited to get ready in a friend's room before a wedding, but the room was beautifully presented and very clean. My friend had a great night's stay there.

Great local place to meet up with friends to have a drink. The food is lovely and affordable.

We booked here as we were attending a friends wedding in nearby Clearwell, the service was appalling! We were not informed of the nightclub beneath the hotel or of the 11pm curfew until presented with a laminated piece of paper after check-in and paying for the two nights. Later that evening we popped down to reception to place our orders for breakfast only to be greeted by a surly youth. There was no apology for being kept waiting for a good five-ten minutes, two small pieces of paper were thrust at us and he disappeared again. We guessed we filled them in and left them on reception, the following morning they were still on the desk and the chef had no idea of our order. On returning from a bbq, before our 'curfew', we were greeted with thudding music which went on until 1am. The best bit was we, as guests, had free entry to the nightclub beneath us (open until 3am) but no way of getting back in to our room after 11pm! Thoroughly disgusting and would never recommend this hotel to anyone!
