Great food good service and cold beer.

Made to feel very welcome by Jason, felt very at home good selection of drinks and the most amazing cod and chips we’ve ever tasted.

Nice quiet local pub with clean rooms, friendly staff and customers. Would definitely visit again.

Warm welcoming, family ran place they allowed children in and we had a lovely sandwich beside the log burner. It's a wee hidden gem.

It's clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The meals are good value and nice to eat, the homemade steak and ale pie is one of the chef's special. So overall good value.

The food here is extremely good. In the last few days I have had the gammon which was of very good quality and tonight I hadn't chicken curry, rice poppadoms and I onion bhaji. Both meals were superb. The rooms are great value should you want to take advantage of the excellent selection of drinks on offer! Thoroughly recommended!

I absolutely love this place I could go on about it for ever but all I will say is that it was taken over in 2015 with a bad reputation and boy have these people turned it completely around the Owners are fantastic, staff fantastic, atmosphere fan food fantastic, beer fantastic, and as for Sunday Lunch fantastic you will not find a better one but you have to book it early.

Lovely warm cosy pub, great food and staff. We enjoyed our stay and would book again. We have one criticism, call me old fashioned but a member of staff serving breakfast wearing a hoodie and pyjama bottoms is not on. Please smarten yourself up to give an aire of professionalism.

Good value and comfortable accommodation, and a great base for exploring Herefordshire. Good local beers, and delicious Steak and Ale Pie.

Absolutely lovely hotel. The whole place is nicely decorated, the staff are welcoming and will do anything to help. The food looks really nice but not tried it yet. There's not much around the village but only short drive to nearby towns. Would stay again no doubt.

The welcome when we arrived in the early evening was spot on. We were helped to our room with the big suitcase and nothing was too much trouble. The room was okay, basic but clean. We are only sleeping in there after all. The shower was ok although it did take a bit of working out.
We had a meal the night we were there as well and it was beautiful. I agree that the menu isn't huge but the quality was spot on. The only letdown for us was the chips. Given the quality of everything else it would have been that bit more had they been home cut and cooked. Not frozen ones. (Perhaps a quirk of ours)
The service the rest of the night, superb.
The following morning we were a bit picky with the way we wanted our breakfast but it was delivered ok. Only issue was the poached eggs. Which were hard poached. Other than that all was good.
However the big letdown was when we came to pay our bill. There was 4 of us (2 couples) and our friends had had a problem with their shower that morning. (Couldn't get it to work) When she told the guy we paid, he was quite condescending to her. Telling her that he assured her it did work and she was doing it wrong, further more he knows it works because he has had the same issue raised by other guests and proven to them it did work! It just needs pressing harder! Is that not worth acting on? Perhaps ensuring your customers know there is a particular way of operating it? A sign to explain? It's a shower! It should not be difficult!

Stopped for a quick lunch nice food good beers. Right in the middle of the village. Not expensive. Good service.

We didn't expect too much from our room, when comparing the rates with others in the area. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The shower had a problem though, and we had to hold the power button in for the water to flow — one handed showering. There wasn't a lot of choice for breakfast, but again it was great for the cost. The food was well prepared. I would be happy to stay here again.

It was okay. Front of house staff were flawless and on the ball, but I think the kitchen needs a bit of TLC. Went here with my partner and his parents on a Sunday. We were a little surprised at how limited the menu was (choice of 4 starters, 4 mains, 4 puddings) and not even anything like sandwiches or light bites menu. We all had the roast beef, and it was a long time coming. When it arrived, I will say that that the meat was beautifully tender and very lean. As for the rest…… being brutally honest, my home roasts are better. The Yorkshire was homemade (big tick! ) but mine and my partners mother's were burnt. We had never seen stuffing served with beef, and it was bland roast potatoes and boiled veg and mash and swimming in gravy. It was a nice atmosphere, a little local pub run by a family. Think it just needs a bit of TLC when it comes to the food side.

A spotlessly clean bar and restaurant with a warm welcome from friendly staff. Excellent ales, wines and spirits from a well stocked bar. Take your place at your table and be spoiled by the wonderful freshly cooked food. Difficult to single out a menu item to select as I've tried it all and found it all of the same superb quality.
Having eaten and drank your fill, retire to the comfort of your room for a peaceful nights sleep before venturing back down for a tasty English breakfast.
To summarise, a superb family-run Inn that's worth a visit, in fact, it's worth several visits. You won't be disappointed — you'll be delighted!

Under new ownership, what a find the chase inn was. Fantastic food served daily with some very well kept cask conditioned ales. The building has undergone extensive refurbishment boasting a restaurant area, lounge area by the fire and a pool and darts room. I will definitely be back!

I was absolutely disgusted with the state and service regarding the room I stayed in. The bed was not made each day, the carpet was disgusting with black marks all over a beige one, there were spiders all around the ceiling and window, the hand basin had a large crack across it, the toilet is squeezed into a very tight corner with no room to move and the toilet roll holder digging into your side and the food wasn't anything to write home about. Defintely will not be staying there ever again.

Very good value for money, whether food or drink. Excellent service from courteous and friendly staff.
