An ideally located Premier Inn, a good choice for anybody who needs ease of access to the south coast area around Portsmouth or the port. Friendly staff, always helpful and a big Tesco Extra just around the corner.

Excellent service from reception. Only 2 coffee sachets in room but reception immediately gave us more. Breakfast was amazing served in the adjacent beefeater, bit disappointed that we arrived at bar 11.03 and we couldn't get served. Having said that staff were very friendly, especially Kelly.

We stayed here while visiting Southsea and it was a really great value stay compared to other large chains further south and actually on the island. The reception staff were helpful and friendly regardless of which shift they were working. Food is served perhaps 30 meters away and the breakfast quality was excellent. Free parking on site. There is the potential to confuse this slightly older version of the brand with a more modern and larger building across the street and run by the same chain. We made this mistake and pulled in to the wrong car park, however the staff there were also great. This site is fully wheelchair accessible from the carpark.

Room clean and spacious, bed very comfortable. Breakfast at neighbouring partner Beefeater was delicious, an excellent all you can eat meal. What was confusing was the presence of another Premier Inn right next door which was far more noticeable from the road!

This premier inn is located next to a beefeater restaurant. There is another premier inn just next door which appears newer, however, this one seems to be newly refurbished. We had a family room with a double bed and 2 singles (a sofa bed and 'camp bed'). All were comfortable enough and there was sufficient space in the room for all of us. The room got a bit too warm overnight and being right next to a road we couldn't have the window open. We had breakfast at the beefeater where the kids ate free. The staff in the Premier Inn were all very friendly and helpful Over all, it was fine for all of us for one night, not sure we would want to stay for much longer as a family. For a couple or single traveller it would be fine for longer stays.

Place was clean bed was nice food on second day was nice.

It's okay we've given a ground floor room. Lots of thumping noise from the upper floor.

Gret costomer sevice and great museums to visit. Not the boring sort tho.

Very nice hotel that allowed us easy check-in in & the rooms were very comfortable, the beef eater meals really made the trip & excellent value for money with the premier inn meal deal.

Lovely place to stay had a lovely weekend great night's sleep breakfast was good value and lots to choose from.

Nice room, slightly weird having the wash basin in the room. Shower room only no bath. TV could have been bigger. Nice breakfast.

Hotel is good value for money the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was nice and plenty to choose from. The rooms are big and the shower facility is lovely. Will go back again.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Room was a good size with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was a buffet with an excellent range of hot and cold food. Location could be good depending on what you need. Not too far out from the centre, but we were staying for an event in Portsmouth centre so got stuck in a lot of traffic on the way in which we would have avoided if we'd have stayed more centrally.

The service was lovely, and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast which was good too on the adjoining building.

Second time me and the Mrs have stayed here and the service has been really good on both occasions. The rooms are ok and the food was very good for the money. The dinner and breakfast deal is a must.

Booked family room. Room was obviously too hot when we arrived but air conditioning sorted this out. Not many available plug sockets. The extra children's beds they put in were not in a sensible place, but easy to move. TV was small. Room was quite. Parking was easy. Room was clean. Wife thinks room was good size, I think just adequate. Sink was weird: it was a half tube which meant not all water flowed down.

Always have a good stay at this hotel. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, no matter what time you are walking through the door. Check in / out process is very easy. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good quality. Everything you need.

Nice hotel to stay in although it is a short distance from the gunwharf, staff are friendly and helpful consider we had 6 rooms across the hotel. They have multiple fast food options including a Tesco within a 5 minute walk. Rooms are clean and tidy.

Clean, good warm service. Modern quality. Good place to stay a night. For tourism not so good due to the environment, but we were happy to stay.

Not a bad place to stay. Fairly industrial area. Used it as a jump off point for ferries. It is ideal for this.

We spent a month at this premier inn due to our little one being in hospital. What can I say? The hotel is very well kept, clean and the rooms quiet and spacious. The breakfasts are amazing too. What made our stay however was the staff. The staff here made things a lot easier for us. They are friendly, courteous, respectful and went out their way for us numerous times. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone, and I personally thank every amazing member of staff here for making the most horrendous time of our lives that much easier.

You know what you're gonna get with a Premier Inn. Big room. Comfy bed. Good shower etc. USB charging points at the bed side. Great for those traveling on the channel ferries. Car park is a little tight though. And breakfast is not an option for the earliest car ferry travelers. Next door is a Beefeater pub/restaurant was packed on the Friday night so book if you can — traffic permitting. Other fast food places are really close and a 24hr Tesco.

Good overnight stop before taking the ferry. Extremely helpful staff, clean and comfortable room.

Absolutely fine for a night. Staff welcoming and friendly and they sorted out a slight problem with the room quickly. Decent value breakfast if you go for a package — two adults cooked breakfast and the two kids ate free — and plenty of tea and coffee. Not a great location if you want to have a wander about or eat out — lots of fast food outlets and car showrooms — but you can walk to Port Solent in 20 minutes. Good night's sleep, comfy bed, reasonable price. What's not to like?

Annoyed — tried to phone and see if I was booked in and the woman on reception took five minutes to get my name right. Wouldn't be an issue if you were not being charged 13 pence per minute! Since when do you have to pay a premium rate to see if your booking has gone through?

Staff and service were truly outstanding. Bed was quite small, but fortunately circumstances dictated that my wife and I slept in shifts. I would like to see Lenny Henry sleep in it.

Good location for our trip to the isle of Wight. Room was comfortable. Food ok.

The hotel was well located and clean. The restaurant was usefull and tesco was only round the corner. It was great for the price.

Comfortable rooms. Had much better breakfasts tho… very disappointed with the Beefeater next door.
