We have stayed here many times. Love it, fluffy huge towels, great beds & bedding, constant hot water and fab breakfast, what more can I say, we will definitely stay there again.

We have just had the most amazing stay at this lovely hotel. Every aspect was excellent. Rooms were a good size and spotless. The lounge and chill out areas were spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was lovely and the food was to die for! We had a 3 course meal on the evening and full English in the morning, the quality was superb and the food piping hot. Every member of staff was friendly and chatty and couldn't do enough for you. Big shout out to Jamie who, when we asked if the hotel had a pack of cards and they didn't, went out and bought us a pack! If that isn't excellent customer service I don't know what is! Amongst all of this, the covid guidelines were strictly adhered to without spoiling the enjoyment of our stay. Can't recommend the hotel and it's staff highly enough. We will be back!

I’ve just returned from a lovely weekend away at the Brookfield and can’t recommend it enough!
Food was lovely, good choice of dishes and tasted delicious, the staff were all so friendly and would go above and beyond to help in anyway they could. Our room was lovely and spacious and cleaned to a very high standard. The hotel was extremely Covid safe with all staff and guests wearing masks around the hotel. There were one way systems in place, all tables in restaurant were well distanced from each other and over all we felt very safe for our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return!

Extremely impressed with the layout of tables to allow for Social Distancing, the staff are very well turned out, polite and considerate, the food was amazing, very tasty — jus a lovely place to go for a meal.

We had a delicious 3-course luncheon for £17.95. It was beautifully served and hot. There was a really good choice with some unusual things to choose from which made a change from other restaurants. The waiting staff were really courteous.

The hotel is a lovely place to stay the staff are extremley friendly and helpful the dinner we had last night was excellent, we had a lovely quiet room great nights sleep and the breakfast was great we would definitely come again xxx.

Wonderful place! We had our wedding reception here two weeks ago and I cannot thank Jamie & staff enough! Every single detail was thought of, it ran so beautifully from start to finish, the welcome drinks in the beautiful garden, the wedding breakfast was delicious, the buffet plentiful and tasty and we partied the night away! Jamie and staff worked hard to make sure everything went to plan, we even had some last minute changes but nothing was too much to ask for, Jamie even arranged for the sun to shine! All my guests commented on how lovely the setting was and service, many considering holding their own celebrations at The Brookfield. My husband and I stayed overnight, as did a few close family & friends. All rooms were lovely and breakfast the next day was top notch and cooked to preference. I have already been back today for afternoon tea in the garden for d-day celebrations which was wonderful! I will be returning for many years to come. Thank you Jamie and staff, you made our dreams come true and our day absolutely perfect.

Enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the lounge bar and the proximity to the local town — great views walking the beach route, as recommended by the receptionist. Thank you for a lovely break.

Spent 2 peaceful nights here. Ideal place to stay with a 10 minute drive to Gunwharf Quays & Historic Dockyards. Only complaint was I found the restaurant cold & food service was a little slow due to a large group that came in after us. Staff friendly & polite. I would happily stay here again but eat elsewhere.

Really disappointed with the service and attitude of staff before, during and after my grandmother’s wake. Lessons in care, compassion and customer service greatly needed.

The staff were nice but the bed was solid, the lady that cleaned put a duvet under the sheet for us. It is quite pricey. The Wi-Fi didn't work in our room either.

Had the pleasure of staying here again after a few months. Friendly reception and speedy check-in. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Had a lovely shower in the room with a glass shower screen I so hate those fabric ones which always seem to wrap themselves around you! As the sun was out it was lovely to sit in the garden enjoying a few pints of real ale and the house burger and fries. A very friendly member of staff — Jack served me and we shared pleasent conversation during the evening. All in all a great stay, almost forgot there is a large car park as well, look forward to returning soon.

Lovely venue, friendly staff, excellent food. The only thing that lets the hotel down is lack of air conditioning. Albeit we had an exceptionally hot day for my sisters wedding, I know the guests were complaining the rooms were too hot to sleep in and the main ceremony room / restaurant was sweltering to the point I thought the groom was going to melt!
If they could get this fairly important aspect of guest comfort sorted this would be a well recommended venue. As it stands I wouldn’t recommend it in the summer.

A lovely hotel which we visit for a Sunday meal with friends every few months. The ambience and the food are always first class and the staff are extremely attentive and efficient. We will be returning very soon.

Well what can I say fantastic setting but I'm biased as I grew up in Southbourne and know the area well. Warm welcome from the ladies on reception, the room (no. 39) on the left of the building at the back was peaceful and beautiful as for the food it was outstanding. We booked for the date night and we will definitely be returning. Couldn't have had a better birthday. Thank you to all the staff you are a credit to this establishment. Only thing that we didn't have was the glass of prosecco but as neither of us like it we weren't bothered. If you're looking for a luxury hotel at a reasonable price book here you won't be disappointed.

We got married here today, and I cannot fault them. From the wonderful evening meal to breakfast for myself and bestman and usher. Jamie and his staff are not the normal hotel staff, they are genuine and very attentive. The food for the reception was outstanding and the overall cost was more than reasonable. I can only say that I will be recommending them to anyone that I can.

For what it is the hotel was fine. My bed was comfortable and clean but the room was far too hot, and the carpet was very lumpy. My biggest issue was with the breakfast. I'm staying in many hotels of a similar style on a long business trip around England but never have I had to pay £13.95 for a cheese omelette and toast. There were no other sides to justify the cost. My colleague had eggs on toast for the same price and we both felt ripped off. Breakfast service was slow and the continental spread was tired with no fresh fruit and stale pastries. In general the whole breakfast experience was a let down for the price.

We had a table of 4 and the staff were so obliging and friendly, the meal was perfect. I would certainly recommend it, the presentation was to perfection.

This is the second year we have had a big family birthday both times have been excellent could not fault anything. Rooms clean, staff hard working, very friendly could not do enough for us. Food excellent! They catered and looked after us a wedding buffet, then the evening buffet 60th party. A formal rotary club function in the larger lounge. Aiming to have my 60th next year.

The food was excellent so was the service. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. I would recommend this restaurant completely.

We ate in the restaurant and although the food was pretty good however I don't think it was good value for money. The price seems top restaurant quality but the food was not top quality. We were well looked after by the staff. But the place was not very busy so you would expect the staff to struggle.

Not a gourmet restaurant, but reliably good food, mostly traditional English, and reasonably good value for money. The staff are nice, and provide an efficient service.

Beautifully appointed room. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was great too.

Rubbish. Three meals dropped over us. One person burnt and two bits of clothing covered. No apologise. Just told ' it is Christmas' Avoid or be burnt!

Room was clean and presentable. Curtains were black out curtains which is good, but the lights were quite dim, so room was dark even with the lights on. Bed was big, and comfortable enough. Towels were provided and very soft.

Lovely cream tea marred by sitting in the reception, which was full of a loud wedding party. Did not appreciate the conversation about the contents of baby's nappy and uncle's rash, peppered with swearing, whilst I was eating. I feel that we should have been seated in the dining room or they could have had a private area as they were such a large party. Also treated to a blast of cold air every time the door was opened. However, the food was plentiful, very tasty, reasonably priced and the staff were pleasant.

I had a great stay in one of the new rooms at the top of the hotel. The staff were helpful and asking for a souffle omelette at breakfast is worth it. It was great to have a nespresso machine in the room. Good base to explore Portsmouth from. Will be staying there again. Hope my photos do it justice.

Room was fine and clean, and in general a good place to stop over. Breakfast good enough and server polite. My only real concern and feedback hotel management need to consider is there are no lifts so when my wife is carrying heavy luggage through the hotel and up stairs and 5 staff walking past offer no assistance you have a problem which needs seeing too.

There was an elderly lady in our group, and straight away she was asked if she would be comfortable in the seating. As it was very low, we were moved to the dining room. Where we spent the next 2 hours receiving excellent service and quality sandwiches (to our tastes).
We 'saved' ourselves for the scones (just part of the lovely array), and we weren't disappointed. Freshly baked, with a hint of vanilla! And endless supply of tea just made this 'special' afternoon tea even more memorable! Faultless.

Lovely rooms and food especially breakfasts, great staff.

I was expecting more for £130 per night in standard double room, which was a little bit outdated. It takes almost 30 mins to walk there from Havant station. The hotel is next to a really busy road. On the plus side you can get to Chichester harbour in about 5 mins (walking time) and then have a lovely stroll around the coast. The hotel should charge a lot less for their rooms.

Nice meal and pleasant atmosphere in restaurant. Room modern and clean. Enjoyed our stay and definitely good value.

We had a wonderful lunch on Father's Day to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary. The food was wonderful, as were the staff who catered for all our needs with professionalism and courtesy.

Such a delightful welcome at the front desk, tea was offered whilst I was waiting for my relatives in the main seating area. The front desk attendant introduced himself with a warming smile, promptly followed by an open a conversation whilst I waited. He gave honest advice on the services within the hotel, including the use of armed forces discount. Of which I intend to use in the future when friends and family to stay. Breakfast was above standard, with poached eggs cooked to perfection. Catering staff on hand with teas and coffees. Throughout the build the décor exuded a ambient warmth, whilst maintaining an air of professional bearing. Whilst only visiting, I was able to view my medium sized twin room of my relatives. It was immaculate, well decorated and contained extremely comfortable beds. Somewhere I shall in fact stay myself.

We have been looking for a venue to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary in June, so after talking to assistant manager Andy early on Saturday morning booked for lunch to sample the food. We were shown a lovely table by the window overlooking the pretty garden our choice of 2 courses exceeded expectations this was served by a friendly waiter, there was nice music in the background. As coffee was being served Andy suggested we talk about our requirements in the lounge, nothing is too much trouble and we chose an excellent package including a private function room, came away with 3 menu varieties to collate for our guests, and were offered rooms at a good rate to stay which my husband decided to book for 2 nights, we are both looking forward to celebrating 50 years of marriage at the Brookfield.

The resturant have the typical english atmosphere. The taste of bread with olives was very good but the menu isn't rich of proposals. The service is in the middle than the other restaurants. The food quality is quite good.

Attended a wake at Brookfield. Impeccable service throughout. Well recommended.

The rooms are not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel, (reception, bar etc. ) There was some wear and tear on the furnishings and wall paper. The 'Brookfield burger' is excellent.

Nice garden, lunch was pretty good.

My family have been there for lunch a few times and can highly recommend it. Reasonably priced, well presented and tasty food with good service. Very nice in the summer with a good garden and seating outside.
