At last a decent hotel in Wigan. Rooms are fab, good service and the Cumberland Sausage at breakfast is to die for.

Adequate, litter free parking and a clean reception area with helpful staff gave a great first impression. I was allocated a good sized, clean, quiet room with excellent facilities and a comfortable large bed. The bedroom had a nicely appointed shower room/toilet with a wide shelf to accommodate toiletries. A more than adequate breakfast was included in the price, continental or full English, and this was in the form of a self service buffet. Should I visit Wigan again I would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

A nice new hotel. One of the best HI I’ve stayed in but unfortunately it doesn’t have a pool or gym as stated in the amenities tab.

What a great place me and my wife only had the 1 night but will definitely come back spotless clean bedrooms spacious comfortable beds staff polite and helpful buffet breakfast nice little bar late bar nice sitting area outside can not fault the place 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.

I cannot Express how much I can recommend this hotel. The staff were really friendly and so helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious. My stay was absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, definitely be going back.

Nice brand new hotel, friendly staff, clean. Just a bit in the middle of nowhere so if you don't have a car you need a taxi to go to a restaurant. The hotel bar anyway offers some food which is basic but not bad. Breakfast is good too.

Extremely impressed with our stay @ Holiday In Express Wigan. The hotel is brand new and extremely functional especially for business travellers. Really happy with the service we received and will not hesitate to return.

Staff are polite, courteous and helpful. Rooms are very modern, clean and generally very nice. But… The food options are expensive and can be pretty dire… Be prepared to have to return your meals, absolute sham for what you pay and eventually receive. Breakfast on the other hand is a reasonable show…

At the time of the visit the hotel had been opened for four months. New car smell. Rooms spacious and modern there's plenty of plug point for all your devices plug points if wherever you turned. Staff friendly and helpful. Menu for evening meal basic but acceptable. Ran out of salad. Breakfast selection good.
