All staff very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
bar is priced well and food is excellent and freshly made.

Myself and my husband stayed on Wednesday night. Everything was lovely. The receptionist Ana is lovely and will go out of her way to make you feel welcome. We enjoyed it that much we decided to stay another night. So Thursday night after a few drinks and food in manchester we went back to hotel for a nightcap before bed. It was 11 oclock. We were told by the night porter that the bar was closed. It is advertised as 1 oclock close. After mentioning this he opened up reluctantly. We had 2 drinks then went to our room. Before bed I wanted a cigarette (bad habit I know). As I was going outside I noticed the porter had his headphones on so I didnt speak to him. I went through the electric gates because the sign says just to buzz when you wanted to go back through. Well I buzzed and buzzed and buzzzed. No answer. By now I am upset because I am in a unfamilar place in the dark with no way of getting back into the hotel. The porter couldnt hear me buzzing because he had headphones on. Eventually the gates opened. No apology nothing. 25 mins I was stuck outside on my own. Very anxious and upset. Will not be returning.

If it's close to where u want to be and u are after a bed for the night and a roof over us head then it does the job fine. Clean room, everything works (which is a bonus compared to some cheaper hotel) and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Sometimes that's all u need.

Was nearest hotel to where a was going apart from that would not recommend food menu terrible choices and £9.95 for a 5 item breakfast use the kebab shop round corner.

Bathroom was tiny. Noisy child in the next room with only a door separating the rooms. Never again!

Clean, great friendly helpful staff. Ideal location 1/2mile ish from The Arndale centre. The Italian just a few doors down is a fantastic place for a pizza.

Beds rooms adequate to an extent all fashioned materials for bed and rooms are tight bathrooms needs updating the TV freeviews needs reconfigurating.

Does what it days on the tin. Great location for town etc. Tiny room. Clean. Really nice people on reception etc. Only thing was it's a bolt-on economy hotel, but we paid over £150 for one night with no breakfast and paid £8.50 for jacks and coke and half a strongbow.

Nice, clean, friendly hotel. Good size room. Free parking and Wi-Fi. Food no frills but good. Bar open till 1am. All the staff especially Rhona were lovely and helpful. For the price this is a good place to stay and a short hop from the city centre.

Room very clean although small. Bed comfy and staff helpful. 10 minute walk from arena, straight down main road so easy to find.

Very nice place to stay. Very friendly staff. Free wi fi, free parking. They also do breakfast but that you have to pay separately. The rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Paid 60 pounds for the privilege of hearing other guests thumping music until the small hours. Breakfast not included. Absolutely shocking.

I stayed only one night in this hotel, and I’m very thankful it was only one night! Was way overpriced for the room you get, the bathroom was not designed very well at all either! If you’re slightly overweight or stocky you’ll have serious problems getting showered properly as the stall is very small, and there’s no ventilation, felt like I was in a steam room and left me feeling very dizzy. I also left the bathroom door open for a couple seconds and it set the fire alarm off! The person on the front desk insinuated I was smoking in the room when I don’t smoke! (She also said, if I had to, smoke out the window so as not to set the fire alarm off! ) The staff member I spoke to was very rude and it made the night very unpleasurable. The walls were thinner than tissue paper, I ended up falling asleep listening to a conversation in the next room. I’m just glad I’m a deep sleeper, my partner didn’t get much sleep at all! All in all, a horrible experience that I won’t wish on anyone.

1st impressions were ok. But the bed was like laying on concrete. There was a crowd of people in the middle of the night shouting and making a lot of noise. What sounded like shoes going round in a tumble drier went off every 30 mins throughout the night which was really annoying. The cooked breakfast took 40 minutes to get to us and people coming down for breakfast we’ll after us were getting theirs 1st. We had to ask for cutlery, the coffee was like black tar. All in all it was rubbish and I’ll not go back.

Basic and a little tired. Very comfy bed and good shower. A 20 minute walk from the centre of Manchester, which felt a little longer when walking on your own in the dark. A couple of take away places close by and a little corner shop nearby.

A decent, basic hotel. Rooms are small but clean and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are very small, but again, clean and the showers are decent. Friendly and helpful staff. It's not the Hilton, but you're not paying Hilton prices. Pretty goid location, well within walking distance of Manchester city centre.

Excellent, friendly staff. They catered for our every need. Facilities were clean and well managed. Bathrooms were pristine, so clean and tidy. Would highly recommend this place to anyone having a short stay. Very close to the arndale and print works as well as Victoria station. Walking distance.

Worst place we’ve ever stayed. No sleep due to morons shouting right outside the door. Banging doors, drinking and talking in the corridors. Decor is awful, you get a thin sheet as a bed cover, no duvet, napkins for pillows etc. The bathroom is ridiculously small with mould in the sealant in the shower. The windows are single pane so you can hear people from across the street never mind the paper think walls so you can hear everyone else in place.
Places like this are bearable for stag do’s at £30 a night but when they charge £116 a night it’s a disgrace and pure robbery. The only thing keeping this place open is it’s location.

The location was great; 10 minutes walk to the city centre. The room was basic and a bit old fashioned but adequate; it was very clean which is a big thing for me! There were tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and TV. We were in room 6, which was a disabled room. The bathroom had a shower over the bath and hand rails in the bath and next to the toilet. There were three emergency cords in the room (one next to the bed and two in the bathroom). Staff were friendly. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Parking is free and secure. Whenever you leave the site you are asked to give your room key in and to collect it when you get back. The reception is manned 24/7 so this isn't a problem. Free Wi-Fi is available. Overall a pleasant stay and we would go there again.

Very good location close to city centre. Only one pillow provided so sleep could have been more comfortable. Rooms are quite cold and it sounds as though the windows are open but there are good heaters in the rooms.

I have given this hotel 3 stars because the staff are fabulous. If I was reviewing a cheap budget hotel I would have gave 5 stars but for the price we paid for 1 night not including breakfast (which was deliscious at £8.99) we could've been in malmaison. I'm by no means a snob and the room was basic but comfy but if you were any bigger than a size 16 there is no way you would've got into the cubicle shower. Which was reminiscent of the tube that the tubby boy got stuck In on Willy wonka. Anyhoo If I had paid £40 plus breakfast I would've been a happy bunny and gave a 5 star review however charging us £141 for one night with breakfast as extra came straight from the dick Turpin school of highway robbery. Well done the staff though.

Hotel just outside the center but reachable in less than fifteen minutes walk. Parking is available I do not know if a fee for those arriving by car. Breakfast, all in all convenient. Can also make the dinner. Rooms clean although not very spacious, but in line with the category. Sin no one speaks Italian! I gave it four stars because the Room had the window on the highway and was a bit noisy. If possible ask for a room from the inside.

Great frendly staff. Good parking facilities. At the time of our visit the hotel us under refurbishment. Our room nice and up dated. Shower room very small but understandably not an easy fix. Keep your door closed. Our friends set the fire alarm off using the shower. Public areas still need an update.

Room seemed like it had recently been refreshed as was nice to have USB plug sockets around the bed. The bed seemed smaller than a standard double, there was lots of noise outside which wasn't ideal and the bathroom was quite small and could've done with a bit of a refresh.

Staff were great but the mattress in the room was awful. Very hard mattress which prevented us from sleeping comfortably and gave us back aches. There's good parking nearby, staff are friendly. Rooms are in an okay condition. Rooms would benefit from softer mattresses, new duvets, more pillows. Hallway would benefit from a new colour theme.

The staff service was excellent and the place/room was very clean. To me that's the most important factor, especially for a "budget" price range. The restaurant food was decent and sensibly priced. You can also temporarily store your luggage for free after checking out which is very considerate. Again, the staff made this experience above what you'd expect for budget by always cheerfully offering to go the extra mile for you.

Rooms were good. But SOME (not all) of the staff was kind of impolite. They also closed the restaurant early on the second night I stayed there without informing the tenants, and when we went down to eat, there was nothing and it was already late so most places outside were closed also. Overall, an OK experience, but could have been much better. At least the rooms were fine.

WE chose this hotel because it was perfectly located for our visits to Manchester House restaurant and The Arena. Sadly, that's the best thing I can say about this hotel. The service was really nice and friendly though in all fairness. We got rooms facing the street and there was a construction site right across the road which was really noisy as was the traffic. The breakfast was really quite rubbish sadly as well. Good parking though.

The first room we were given was facing the road so all night we were woke up by the traffic, we asked to change rooms if possible and they moved us to a room that was not facing the road. Overall the rooms were small but just for sleeping in, they were good. Overall I had a nice experience and the location is good as you are just 10 minutes away from the arena and shopping.

We stayed here recently for one night to watch Coldplay at the Etihad stadium. Great budget hotel for the price, clean room, good service, bar, restaurant. We had a nice pizza before night out, reasonable price. Drinks good. Checkout even better 1130am, great after a good night out. And Secure FREE parking, what more do you want. Will definately book here again for a night in Manchester.

Basic hotel with small rooms but fine for short stays and the staff were helpful. We stayed in a 3-bed room which was really crammed but the beds were comfortable and we had no issues at the hotel. It was also relatively cheap.

It was a pleasent stay and had no problems. Although the decor is a bit old fashion and there was no ventilation in the bathroom. But for the price the hotel was worth the money me and my partner paid.

Budget hotel on the edge of Manchester city centre. Only paid £50 for a night in a double room, which includes free parking. Booked the room online the night before with no difficulty. We were given one key for the room and asked to leave it at reception when we left and pick up as we came back. This meant stopping at reception whenever we returned to the hotel. Also as night, the exterior gate is locked so you have to buzz in and give your name. Great for security but a little inconvenient. The room was a little dated but clean. The bed was comfy and warm, and extra sheets and pillows were available. The room also had tea and coffee making facilities. The shower room was small but had everything needed, including shower gel, soap and towels. It's a basic hotel but good for the price and suited us for somewhere to stay after a night out. Had little interaction with the staff but they were always pleasant and helpful when we did. Would happily stay again!

Cheap near everything, a bit worn but ok, no shower gel or shampoo luckily was with my very vain son who had everything. Basically good value.

Pretty standard budget hotel. Staff were friendly and courteous. Beds were firm and suitable enough. Bathroom was small, but adequate. Location to Manchester city centre was a five minute walk. Free car park was also a great benefit. Breakfast was expensive but included a full English as well as a continental buffet. Wouldn't recommend this place to fussy people as it is by no means luxury, but to me it served its purpose as intended.

Good budget hotel reasonnably clsoe to Manchester city centre, Central exhibition centre and mainline railway stations. Bedroom was clean, uncluttered and with a good overall layout. A bit noisy though as very close to a main road. The bathroom was a bit small and cramped. Recommendation: Install towel racks in bathrooms to save space and make the layout more efficient.

I think I booked this hotel because of free parking. Room small but clean I wish I had known how small the bathroom was I have had bigger ones on cabin in car ferries. Staff are fairly helpful Reasonably priced resturant for breakfast. Good central location but will not be staying here again the decoration is rather dated no safety window catch Pity when you enter from car park it looks nothing like the pictures on the web. A rather tired looking hotel that would do well with some upgrading and some TLC.

I was appalled with the behaviour of the staff the Stay Inn hotel in manchester on Saturday the hospitality is the worst ever at reception. I had earlier pre-booked a double bed room and when I arrived was rudely told to pay extra for my partner when I asked why as I had already paid for a double room the receptionist immediately became hostile, I then expressed my dissatisfaction with the way I was treated and agreed to pay the extra. The receptionist then started behaving erratic raising her voice in front of my wife and child eventually the police were called and I was refused entry I haven’t yet been refunded. This is the worst hotel ever don't waste your money on this horrible hotel. The manager on the said date was a pathological liar and never behaved as a good customer service Manager. Dont waste your money as Services at this hotel is extremely disgusting.

Previous visits have been most satisfactory. Returning soon. Most convenient for MEN/Phones 4u Arena.

We booked a room with them and for some unfortunate reason we had to come back home as we arrived there. We requested if they could refund us the money that we had already paid them over the net and they refunded us within 48 hours and there was NO problem at all what so ever. Recommended.

Solid budget hotel, good service, friendly staff. Even the restaurant is quite good at reasonable prices. Near the university, which is why I chose it in the first place. The only gripe as far as I am concerned is that they the windows don't shut very well and there sometimes seem to be issues with the room heating. They also would do well in installing hotel safes. On balance, I'd recommend it.

We waited over an hour in an empty restaurant for a toasted sandwich, the service and quality of rooms was very poor, for the price we paid we could have had an excellent four star hotel including breakfast. I will not be staying again. The staff were rude on occasion and most of the facilities were out of order.

Stayed here three times for gigs — walking distance from the MEN and a short taxi drive from the apollo which was perfect for us — staff were very friendly, checked in without any fuss, rooms were small but it was what we expected and just needed to get our heads down for the night. Have no complaints about the place, such a good location! heading back there next may when we have another gig.
