It’s a great little hotel to stay in whilst on transit. Great location and pleasant staff One thing I would request is that I get checked in by a person and not that person telling me to “go over there and use the machine”

Very clean hotel, excellent and very friendly staff in the reception area and bar area. Food good in restaurant when we arrived. Relaxed atmosphere even with my husband watching football in the bar! Would definitely come back again if flying from Heathrow.

Been on a course all week and stayed staff are polite and friendly rooms are clean and spacious would stay again.

Really great experience here — all the staff were so helpful and friendly. We watched another guest completely kick off at the morning concierge and she handled it so gracefully. We were also recommended to take a taxi to terminal 3 instead of the 30min long hopper. Best service I have seen in a long time! Plus great pub The Pheasant 11min walk away!

The person who was outstanding is called Ellie. For me she was courteous professional and and friendly.
What really impressed me was the way she dealt with a quite obnoxious man. She was and is a credit to your business. Promote her. She is a long term asset.

Lovely clean room. Sleep not disturbed, even tho very close proximity to Heathrow. Kids loved watching planes taking off and landing. Nice breakfast.

The beds are delightful… like floating on a cloud. After a long day sightseeing and after a tasty meal in the restaurant we went to our room. The beds… ah the beds… total relaxation for achey legs.

Everything from food to rooms and parking but the Indian concierge guy is the highlight for me. He is so helpful!

Very convenient for terminals by free public bus. Staff helpfully told me about this instead of pushing the “hoppa” bus which is not free and also serves the hotel. The included breakfast was ample and delicious and had options for all dietary needs. The room was clean and comfortable, and though the runway is close by, I didn’t hear the planes at all. The price of the room was surprisingly low. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

It’s what it is stop over for the airport! But l wasn’t flying. I was on a weekend theatre trip from Yorkshire to see a show and London sights. We don’t know which hotel we are in until we get there, they are always high end hotels so never had problems. I gave 4 stars just because the bathroom was out dated and a little bit grubby, some refuse in the tiles and some mould in places on the bath sealant and the plug was missing in the sink which does not look nice and could have lost jewellery fine it. Beds where ok and breakfast was lovely. Staff were polite and gracious.

Single room was excellent. Shower lovely and can sting it is so powerful Restaurant good. Daniel at reception was very welcoming and provided great advice when asked. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was small yet I have never slept so well in a hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was good but the shower curtain couldn't stop hairspray so it didn't take much to soak the bathroom after a shower. The staff were great and for a one night stay over it worked. Within walking distance is a 24 hour MacDonald.

Great hotel, near the airport! He took down the star for the fact that the bus goes longer than to walk.

Stopped for a coffee and lunch. Some of the nicest most helpful staff I have met. Plus a thoughtful 'thought of the day's on the board as you enter. The staff are a real credit to the company. Recommend they are cloned worldwide! Had a very unpleasant experience since. I received a parking fine for £100 even though I paid to park. Although this was eventually withdrawn it is one of these situations where because it is put out to a 3rd party the hotel initially think they have no responsibility. Hmm.

Location is great in relation to Heathrow Airport, there is a shuttle to the airport for £4.50. I thought the decor would be better for the price you are paying, felt like I was staying in a motel vs a hotel. Service was fair, I didn't ask for much so it's a little hard to give a decent review of it.

Excellent staff nice hotel for the price you pay, just starting to look a bit dated in the bedrooms and corridors. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The restaurant is quite expensive and their is not really much alternative except McDonald's.

The hotel is conveniently located near the rental car return and the airport. It is rather worn off but kept clean which is more important. Breakfast was good offering rich choice. Personnel was superb which is why I gave 4 stars. Otherwise the hotel would deserve between. 2 and 3 stars only.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good food. I had a salad. Nice, fresh vegetables. The rooms are a bit dated but not too bad. This is the first hotel built at Heathrow so what do you expect? It's historic!

Written by an American for American visitors. This place is perfectly acceptable for staying near the airport to catch a flight the next day. Compared to a lot of the other Holiday Inns I have stayed at this one is a little bit rough. It's been around for a while. It is well-maintained on the first floor and the grounds. The rooms, however, are a bit rough. This hotel is arranged in a circular design. As a result the rooms are wider at one end than they are on the other. They're pretty small to start with, at least the standard rooms are. They do not have the 5 volt USB plugs available. The area around the sink is quite small, which is in keeping with the rest of the room. The closets are relatively wide, but very very shallow. They will not hold a suitcase except possibly standing up. There is a fold-out suitcase holder rack. But when you open this up you can't close the closet door. The desk is quite small and there's already a fair amount of stuff on it. So, for business travel, with medium demands, this is a perfectly acceptable hotel and reasonable prices. If you need to get to Heathrow the next morning check with the front desk and they will arrange for a cab. I arranged for one very, very early and the cab arrived right on time.

Not very clean, but serviceable as a cheap stop off before or after a flight. However, when we arrived early, we requested our luggage to be held for the 2 hours wait while we headed out. I was met abruptly and cut short, but told our room was available early so they would be happy to let us have the key and put our things there instead. Absolutely astounding service, I thought, until I checked my bank account, and saw that they had attempted to charge me a £50 early check in fee. I wouldn't have minded, but I wasn't asked to pay, and the whole process was underhand and completely off. Wouldn't recommend for this reason alone. Appear to attempt to disguise underhand money making, behind half decent customer service.

Based on 2 visits. Friendly/great staff, nice rooms, great location (free city bus to/from Heathrow Central bus station). Some decor a little old/tired, & this is minor. Would stay again.

The location of this hotel is convenient for us to stay, before we drop off our hire car on our return to Canada. I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel for more than one night. The entrance is beautiful, but the rooms, although clean, are very dated and old which makes them feel grubby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When we came down for coffee in the morning, there was none left. It's a very old building and in my opinion, could benefit from an upgrade.

Pretty modest hotel for something that carries the holiday Inn name. You can find better for less if you have to stay in the area.

Reasonably priced airport hotel. Staff are excellent. Small bar and good restaurant. Rooms a little smaller than other Holiday Inns, but I don't need a lot of space — mainly needed a good bed and early shuttle to the termunal.

Great hotel chain happy with every where I stayed highly recommend if you're in England and you need a place to stay whilst you travel around this chain of hotels is consistent and very accommodating took the stress out of being in another country and far from home. The Chinese visitors though tended to overwhelm the breakfast bar to the point where most of us had to stand around waiting for the kitchen to catch up.

As expected. No frills airport hotel. Can get good rates for stay and park. It's a £10 taxi to Heathrow or you can get the Heathrow hoppa.

Was an easy check-in, good room with amenities required to get ready for anything (iron, iron board, quick drying towel rack, hair dryer). Cosy room with excellent temperature control. Friendly and helpful staff to cater for any needs.

Great Hotel, looks a little tired from outside, but customer care was excellent, food good, bus stop opposite for easy transport.

A bit like every hotel around Heathrow, a bit in the middle of nowhere, gets stuck quickly when you want to shop outside hotel.

It was a great stay, lovely room, great staff, everything was fantastic, I never heard one plane in my room, slept like a log, best breakfast buffet I've ever seen.

My experience at the hotel has always been good. There are good lines of transport to get you to & from the airport. Rooms can be hit & miss. The staff are excellent & a special mention to Sophie & Teide who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. It's for these details that I will definitely return & recommend this hotel.

The rooms feel quite dated and small and not on par with the price you pay unfortunately. Very tired bathroms. Great staff and a convenient location though but is well overdue a makeover and renovation.

Really clean and accessible to the nearby free bus stop to the Heathrow terminals. We came at 2am in the morning and they ended up giving us an executive room. Great service!

Nice clean room. Small by US standards but that's okay. Bar near the lobby is convenient, good beers on tap. Check in was easy and informative.

Standard of rooms alot better than in Scotland very comfortable. Great breakfast. Good for travellers. Would advise to use FREE shuttle bus from terminal as hopper bus is expensive.

Great location. Room seemed a little dated, but nevertheless it was clean and well appointed. Staff welcoming and helpful. Showerure and temperature both excellent. Bed comfortable and no noise heard from airport overnight. Breakfast freshly cooked and tasty though only one coffee machine which was slow.

The room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was delicious — good quality food nicely presented. First time at a Holiday Inn and would definitely recommend. Excellent value for money and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Overnight hotel in the Free Travel Zone for Heathrow. Very efficient check-in, reception were very friendly and recognised my status with the chain. Room was as per my preferences, away from the elevator. Double room made up for a single person. Unusual for the UK, but nice. The room wasn't the largest but the bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well and the shower had lots of pressure. Would stay here again especially if flying out of T2/3 as can use the free London bus to get to the terminal.

Stayed here last night before taking my son to Heathrow today. Even before booking the Reservations staff were fabulously helpful and once booked they gave me the free bus numbers and bus stand numbers to get from Hatton Cross tube to the Hotel and on to the Airport (285 or 423) the map provided is good too. Our room was great, double bed and extra rollaway bed, bathroom was fine, bed really comfy and window overlooking the runway which was good entertainment! Wifi was great, better than Sky at home! Restaurant was good, all staff were friendly and helpful. The location was superb especially with the free buses. I will recommend this to others and I will definately stay here again! I ve stayed in many hotels with my children but this was extra special due to lovely staff!

One of the convenient hotels around Heathrow is the Holiday Inn Ariel, it is only about 10 minutes away from the airport by bus, and remember it is free to ride on the London buses within the airport perimeter. From Holiday Inn you can use buses: 105, 111, 140, 285 and N9 and there is normally less than a 10 minute wait and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The hotel has a nice lobby and restaurant at the ground floor together with a bar. The menu has a good selection and prices are reasonable and the breakfast is good. The rooms are quite small and the decor is a little dated as are the bathrooms however for a airport layover they are perfectly adequate and the rates are often reasonable. If you are in the executive rooms you get complimentary chocolate and water. All in all a decent airport budget hotel.

The location is in the prime space if Heathrow. Easy access and there is a Hoppa Bus system to take you to the airport for a very cheap price. The twin room was large and room 284 had a wonderful view of the airport though a little loud at time. The process was much less than the city, only 110 for us for a single night on a Tuesday. And the service was great, friendly and fun staff. Very pleased.

Normal room, the bathroom left to be desired (for disabled and uncomfortable since the sink was at 1 meter high).

Front desk was extremely accommodating of our early check-in. Can't say enough good things about the front desk staff! Our room was clean and quiet, despite being adjacent to Heathrow. The tube into London is just a short free bus ride away, and Heathrow is just £5 away on the Hotel Hoppa bus.

Smallest room I've ever stayed at. Breakfast fried eggs resisted a knife that cut through the bacon just fine. On the website they tell you to take the Hoppa shuttle to and from the airport, which costs £4.50 each way, but bus 105 stops in front of the hotel and it is free to and from the airport.

The Wi-Fi access's prices just terrible. Paid £109 for the room and £150 at the end because of the Wi-Fi access which is £5/hour.? and the rooms aren't that good either.

The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff was quiet friendly and really helpful. The restaurant was quite expensive I used the KFC and McDonald's as a meal was on 7.30 there and you were paying up to 15.00 in the holiday inn. My pet peev is the price of a beer 4.20 a pint I mean rip off London or what! Finally I like to point out at the travel lodge for Wi-Fi for 24 hrs only 3 pounds and yet holiday in charging 5 for an hour or 19.95 for 24 hrs I mean really!

Stayed here when it was just Ariel Hotel in Dec. 1970. So fogged in you couldn't see cars in the lot. Remember hamburgers not available "you ave to go to Wimpy Bar to get a burger". First time I ever had peach melba dessert. Fun for a kid in those days and it was just overnight so we could catch TWA 747 to New York as it had just started flying. Rod Steiger was walking up and down the aisles of half empty plane giving autographs.

Modern what looks like newly renovated rooms. You would not think that you are close to a major airport. My room was so quiet! Friendly front desk staff.

£77 pounds for a dump. Piss stains on the sheets TINY PRISON SIZE ROOM 10x10 and this hotel does nothing but nickel and dime you 17 for parking 16 for Internet 10 for breakfast more cost more cost more cost and I can small the exhaust from the planes. Do yourself a favor and stay at Ibis down the street. Clean, spacious and free Internet 8 pounds for parking and larger rooms and updated.

Cold bathroom, no free Wi-Fi.

We stayed here in April before we flew to USA, it was easy to find and the hotel room was spacious and very clean. Parking was good although it was very busy, but I luckily found a parking spot when we arrived in the early hours of the morning. The transfer to the airport was efficient. I would do this again.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Ariel while on a 14 hour layover at Heathrow en route to Rome. The hotel was easily accessible on the Hoppa Shuttle from Heathrow (about a 10-15 minute ride). The hotel itself was clean and the staff were friendly and accomodating. The rates were extremely reasonable. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again if passing through town.

Rooms are okay, though there is no air conditioning in the standard room that we took. The electrical outlets are british standard so it would be advisable to bring an adaptor. There is a trouser press by the foyer for anyone who would like to make their trousers/shirts crumple-free. Good bathroom with strong shower, hot and cold water running. Liquid soap for the bath is provided and good smelling. Over all a good room. Price wise, typical of any Holiday Inn. Around 180 quid a night in a room for two.
