One of the worst Hotels I have ever stayed. Rey disappointed.

The Italian bartender Maricano is the best. He is warm, welcoming and a great story teller. He made our time at the hotel feel like we where guests treated top of the line and at the same time made as feel as though we were family. He was so right about Paris and Parisian.

I had an overnight stay in this hotel. Everything was perfect but the staff I came into contact with were exceptional. Check in and out quick easy and friendly service. I love hotels that go the extra mile for their guests. It was raining when I left very early in the morning and I was walking to where I needed to be. One member of staff ran around to find me an umbrella as I didn't have one. Thank you so much really appreciated.

Very bad service, old building not clean. I had major issues in the toilet everything is not working properly! They called the plumber to fix it and he was explaining things to me about flashing the toilet! One receptionist only. I don’t recommend it at all.

Ideal for visiting London. In front of Hyde Park, very good service and good breakfast. Next to the Lancaster Gate subway.

Traveled thru out Europe this year. Of all our stays this one was the worst for accommodations. It was very hot in London and they have no air. Some guests got fans, others (us) nothing. Our room was near a power supply that made a loud hum all day and night. The toilet in our room didn’t have water pressure enough to flush. You have to do a certain sequence of things to turn the shower on. One thing though, great breakfast.

Breakfast was nice but the hallways could do with a bit of an update. No air con and no fans either led to a sticky.

Not a good hotel this time of year in this heat. Rooms with next to no aircon so they were boiling. Food was average and staff were not very helpful or informative for our first time here. Lovely looking hotel I was very gutted about our experience.

This is an exceptional hotel in a great location with brilliant staff. The breakfast is fantastic. I absolutely recommend it.

Service was good, rooms and location was great, sadly it looked a bit tatty in places. Buckets catching water from ceilings, things that may have been original features like the fans where tatty and broken in places. Hot water coming from cold water taps and vice versa, some walls where just patched over with paint. For the price I think I'm being more than generous with a 4.

The hotel is a bit old. It needs urgent to be renewed especially the bathrooms. It has excellent staff: polite and helpful. Good location.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It is a small hotel but very elegant. Upon arrival we had to wait about 15 mins for room to be available, but were given an unexpected room upgrade to junior suite. The room was lovely, comfortable, and the bath — well it was the biggest / deepest and just right for a lovely long soak. Breakfast was perfect, and all the staff could not have been more helpful. We will definitely come back.

Very easy check in and out, beautiful room with a very comfy bed and large bathroom. Slightly outdated TV is though! Would definitely recommend.

Most definitely the place to be. Beautiful room's great staff and room service. A wonderful building overlooking Hyde Park. A lovely continental breakfast also a cooked breakfast. With t. V. and lounge. Lovely interior design. Recently had refurbishment. High quality. Be revisiting again soon.

Nice & tidy hotel. Good location with limited free parking spaces for guests. They have suitable halls to hire for meetings and conferences.

We had an amazing stay which started with a very warm welcome from Simone, who was very helpful. The location is great and the hotel has lots of character, is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely use this hotel again. Thank you for a great stay.

Good value hotel with some character, large rooms next to Hyde Park. This is not a modern, small uniform room central London hotel. It is an old property with well maintained clean rooms. Several tube stations and Paddington all within a 10 minute walk.

Not a bad afternoon tea. Some bits were tastier than others. 3.5 stars.

Stayed here for a few nights in July 2016 and it was wonderful. Not far from the tube, and restaurants, and it's across from Hyde Park, great location, and the price was within my modest budget. The hotel itself was beautiful. Yes there were some issues, but it is an old building, so I chalked that up to longevity. The staff were nice and helpful, and the rooms were larger than the normal London rooms I'm used to, a plus. The only issue I had was there was no A/C. In the middle of July, and a rare heat wave in London, A/C would have been nice. The hotel did provide a fan, but that only helped so much. Other than that, my stay was comfortable. Recommend if you in town for a couple of night.

The good: Upgraded to suite upon arrival. Food was good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Location is good. The bad: no power sockets anywhere near the bed in this day and age is crazy. TV reception was worse than bad (some channels didn't even have sound). Couldn't pre-book parking. Couldn't go out on balcony due to health and safety. Thin walls and ceilings means noises can be heard easily (kept waking up due to room above).

Needs a little modernising but Otherwise excellent. Great Breakfast. Efficient staff. Recommended. Great location.

Room was comfortable and fairly quiet but would benefit from some refurbishment. Staff were excellent. Overall the hotel appeared to be quiet on my night of stay.

Very well connected to the centre.

The hotel is a bit older but it's very nice. The staff are attentive and the setting is wonderful. Everything is close by.

Was there for a conference. Spacious and well equipped boardrooms.

Rooms are small and I would say it is a 5star lodge than a star hotel. Location is great.

Lovely hotel, stayed there 01/07/2017 after green day in hyde park, reception was very helpful and sorted rooms quickly, nice sized rooms, only complaint I had is we stayed in room 218 and the fans outside the buildings Windows were very noisy (even with the Windows closed). Did not make for a good night's sleep, breakfast was good, would I stay again possibly if it was in a different room lol.

Room was small and bathroom needed an update, but location is great and the staff arw absolutely amazing. Very helpful and always went above and beyond for us.

We try to check in and no one to assist us. Finally someone tells us they have no one to help us get our bags. As soon as this happens two women check in with someone taking their luggage. My parents were exhausted because we had a long flight and we see the staff sitting behind the door. I usually don't write customer service even if I have a bad experience but this was bad. Then we were hungry and waited in the bar for 20 minutes to take an order. But no one showed. I regularly fly to London but this might have been a really poor experience. I hope the management will improve the service next time.

Having stayed at thistle hotels before I found this visit to thistle Hyde park very disappointing
It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we decided to stay in London for the weekend in your executive suite.
We stayed in a junior suite which was realky not worth the money we paid. Although large, it was lacking in any warmth and care with a tiny sofa. Also room extremely hot all of the time despite turning off heating.
The room was shabby and the bathroom really quite shocking with poorly repaired tiling in the shower, terrible craked groutng in the sink and tarnished taps that made a noise when used.
Bearing in mind the cost of this room, it was in severe need of a makeover and was not value for money.
The breakfast was very poor with rubbery bacon and mushrooms so hard they were inedible, clearly not being replenished
The staff although friendly never asked if we had enjoyed our stay or if we had any problems
Such a shame. A Lovely old hotel in much need of a makeover and some tender loving care.

This is a beautiful smaller Victorian hotel across from Hyde Park. It is very charming and clean. The staff have been very nice. There isn't much to eat in the immediate area other than the hotel restaurant, but you can get to the underground and plenty of food options within a 10 min walk. This has been a great stay.

We were really unimpressed with the Thistle Hyde Park. The rooms are very dated — 1 plug socket in a hotel room in 2017 is simply not enough — and in desperate need of refurbishment. In our room the pressure in the shower meant it was just a trickle which we raised with the hotel staff who to be fair were very helpful and efficient in moving rooms. It's a good location but for the relatively high price there are much better options in the area. We needed to extend our stay in London by a day but decided to stay elsewhere.

Beautiful old building, but the rooms are small and cold single glazed windows and an incredibly noisy extractor fan outside the window. Bed not particularly comfy the smoke alarm was covered. Water pressure non existent and hot water tepid at best. Breakfast says nice enough. All staff very polite.

Spent 1 night there with my wife. The bathroom had cracked tiles all over the floor. Room was dirty, air conditioning very noisy and did not keep the room cool. Very disappointed. Supervisor offered me and my pregnant wife a complementary drink to make up for me cutting my foot on the cracked tile. Would not go there again.

First Class! Nothing was too much trouble and even when I left my shaving bag, the arrangements they made for me to collect it were spot on. Thank you — we will definitely be statying again.

I liked it all! Friendly staff, spacious rooms. But there are problems with insulated Windows. In room 129 was cool in May.

We were moved to this hotel from the other Thistle hotel just along the road where we'd booked a top floor room to be given a second floor room looking out at the trees, — and considering we'd been 'upgraded'. We had not been told prior to arrival so it took us a further 20 minutes to book in before we went to the a pre-booked event. The room 204 was very tired, — cracks in the paint, wall lights collapsing, all the chrome plating missing from the bathroom taps, the cabinets were worn and tired. The food was really excellent quality, but we had to wait 40+ minutes for Friday evening meal and Saturday Breakfast.! The staff were very friendly and did their best against adversity. They told us that there was a small budget to redecorate by the end of 2012. Considering it's not been touched since the mid 90's. We wouldn't have paid this much to stay here. We won't be staying there again hopefully. We may well change from Thistle the next time we're in London.
