Review of The Tophams Hotel 4*

Me and my partner stayed here last week — the room was lovely and clean and the hotel itself was nicely decorated. The only reason we rated it four stars and not five was the fact that the irons provided weren't that great and turned off every 30seconds and also the hair dryers could really do with an upgrade, they are like small cheap travel ones so would recommend taking your own! We found the the people before us had used the complimentary bath room bits but the bottles were left in our shower. The bath room was lovely other than that and it was nice to an option between the bath and shower! :) we stayed in room 208 ☺️ The light outside the door was flickering but it didn't effect us inside the room so! The only other thing which I personally wasn't happy with was I went down to breakfast on the Saturday alone and sat down, after ten minutes a lady asked for my room number which I gave and asked if I wanted tea or coffee I said coffee. After ten minutes of waiting a couple came in and sat down — the same lady went over and served them there drinks straight away — I caught her eye and she came over apologised and ask me to remind her what I had wanted — I said coffee please. She brought me tea. I didn't have enough time after all this to wait to for a full a English breakfast in which I wanted to order so settled for toast. The bar was lovely and reasonably priced but sometimes did have to wait around even when the staff saw us walk in there. Other than this we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel. Great for location, some improvements could be made which I realy hope they are as its such small changes which would make such a huge difference!
