Davies Court Davies Court (Canary Wharf) Hostel

The difficulty rating this is, I made an error. It is student accommodation. No towels shared everything (I had bathroom 1.5 sqm) A mistake but a lesson learnt. Sink hole needs bleach and not a good choice.

It is what it advertises. Simple cheap clean. Cleaner came into room near 8:30 on day of leaving, even though leaving time is 10:30.

Rooms àre such that you can hear your noisy neighbors. Worst still sometimes they have two people staying in the small room and the noise is even worse.

Cheap and basic. They say you get what you pay for, and that's certainly true here. If you just need a bed for as cheap as possible, then this could be the place for you, although don't expect the bed to be comfy! For the price it's perfect for anyone on a budget looking for no frills accommodation.

A very good place to stay. It was especially great location for my flight out of city centre airport. Nice staff and clean rooms. My room faced the street and it was busy all night with a lot of emergency vehicles so I had trouble sleeping the first night — got used to it after that. I would stay here again.

Davies Court is a nice place to stay, well kept, friendly staff and its easy with the bus stop right in front of the building that take you to Aldgate tube station or the DLR train station. There's also a Tesco and restaurants nearby. Good location.

Stayed for one night, room was functional. Great location and value for money. This is aimed at longer term guests, but fine if you want low cost accommodation in the middle of London.

Worst value for money ever. Out of all LHA properties I've used (the others Railton House, Belvedere House, Leinster House, Torquay House, and Belsize House), this is so not worth what they charge. Barely anything advertised (gym, laundry, kitchen) is fit for purpose, and definitely not at the standard of other LHA properties. Manager lives in a state of denial — none of the problems raised were dealt with with anything more effective than a shrug. Avoid.

Perfect for interns and young professionals who work in Canary Wharf. Many thanks to the staff that have made me feel home during my stay.

I had a great stay! A lot better than other LHA locations I’ve stayed at. This location is clean, quiet and very close to the DLR, cinema and mall! Would definitely recommend!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. Was relaxed and quite. Location was great for transport links and supermarkets nearby!

Davies court is a clean and comfortable place to live in. It has good transport links to central London. There are 3 supermarkets nearby namely Tesco, Waitrose and Lidl. From, Steven (August 2017).

This is a small gem of a place to stay. Ensuite room and access to a clean fitted kitchen, my recent 5 week working stay was very enjoyable. The professional staff are all welcoming and friendly. Standards of cleanliness are excellent throughout. Gym and laundry facilities are provided. Great location with buses to the City, and Trafalgar Square, stopping just outside, and West Ferry DLR is only a 5 minute walk. Canary Wharf shopping, restaurants, cinema, Crossrail Place, are all nearby. Value for money tops this review, with a week's stay costing less than one night in 4* central London Hotels.

I have lived in this hostel for more than a year, and just I can say to them thanks for everything. In this year I already know very well all the staff. Kim (the manager) it's one of the best person that I never know, he always try to understand you and help you, also the other three assistant manager (3 more) are completely efficient, happiness, and helpful. The most of the cleaners are really clean, they clean the room one time per week and the kitchen every day, in particular Silvia (house keeping) it's really professional. They have gym, Wi-Fi, and if you are in the new building the building installation are perfect. Also you have the DLR 3 minutes walk and a few bus stop in front of the office. No insects! Very important! It's true that it's expensive, but, if you can pay that I recommend to be there. Definitely it's not good bye, it's see you soon.

A perfect place to stay on a short or long term basis! The staff is always very helpful and friendly.

My stay in Davies Court was excellent. Felt convenient and safe and surprisingly quite quiet near a busy road. I have stayed in expensive hotel in canary Warf, but I was satisfied with the facilities in Davies Court with an affordable price. Walkable distance to DLR and Tube station. Excellent customer service.

My experience at Davies Court was excellent and the Front Office Team led by Mr Kim Lee and Chika were helpful. They went over and beyond their duties in helping me when the weather was hot by giving me extra fans, and when it was old by providing me with an extra heater. They are friendly and full of nice banter. They upgraded our kitchen with a new oven I would definitely return to Davies Court as the place is very clean and modern!

A visit to London from a youthful point of view… so close to Trafalgar Square with a bus outside the door! Yet on rainy days to have breathing space in a clean and charming room with home like amenities to enjoy. Friendly reception and care from Carla and a very special manager. I hope to return there soon.

At the check-in they demand your ID (they will keep it until you give them back the keys) and your next of kin — are the guest still treated like students in halls? The linens were so old, the carpet was dusty and some pubic hair on the bathroom floor (not mine of course). It is crazy to ask more than 40pounds for this place. For the same price you can get a B&B more central. The location is not great (no shops around) and the bus will take 30mins to Aldgate.

Quite good location. Nice room with en suite bathroom. Kitchen is convenient and there's a gym.

Very cheap. Fine as long as you know what you're getting. Private room with two single beds and private bedroom. Small but clean.

Unfortunately there was a mix up with my booking and my room was not available. Whilst the staff were very helpful and arranged to accommodate me in a twin room at a reduce price this was not ideal. Particularly when I was told that I would be sharing the room with another guest (thankfully they never turned up).

It seems to be a nice place so far. I have been here just one night. The single room with shared bathroom is run down. I have seen pictures of the single with bathroom and they are new and look bigger. The kitchen is a bit bear with a lot of things missing. The gym looks nice to bad it is not too private. It is all glass and people from the street can look at you. You are kind of in a fish bowl. Not a lot of machines either but it is good enough.
